Honcho Announces Expanded Features for Its Virtual Office Services

Photo Courtesy of: Honcho SYDNEY, May 20, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Honcho has expanded its Virtual Office Services with the launch of Virtual Receptionist Services, announced in November 2024. The new offering is designed to help businesses manage customer communications more efficiently and professionally. For over a decade, Honcho has provided Virtual Office Services, enabling businesses to use a Sydney CBD address without requiring a physical office. Additionally, for the past six years, Honcho has offered virtual phone number services, allowing businesses to establish professional contact points. The latest addition, Virtual Receptionist Services introduces live call answering and message handling to help businesses streamline communications. 'Honcho aims to provide businesses with tools to manage their operations more effectively,' said Miralda Ishkhanian, Chief Operating Officer of Honcho. 'The addition of Virtual Receptionist Services reflects a growing demand for professional communication support, particularly among small businesses and remote teams.' As remote work and flexible business models become more common, virtual office solutions are increasingly sought after. A Sydney CBD address provides businesses with a central location for correspondence while maintaining privacy. Incoming mail is managed and forwarded as needed, reducing the need for a physical office space. The virtual phone number service allows businesses to use local, toll-free or mobile numbers with call forwarding and voicemail, ensuring professional communication. The newly introduced Virtual Receptionist Services offer businesses live call answering, message handling and call forwarding. Calls can be answered during extended business hours with customisable greetings, helping companies manage customer interactions without hiring in-house staff. While traditional call centers are developed to assist with answering calls, staff in those operations are typically trained to offer generalised and often limited information. That is where Honcho's Virtual Receptionist Services differ. With scripts that are uniquely catered to each individual business, the service is adaptable, ensuring that communication flows seamlessly between the receptionist and customer. 'Our first Virtual Receptionist clients have successfully onboarded and the response has been encouraging,' added Ishkhanian. 'Businesses are looking for ways to enhance their communication processes without increasing overhead costs and this service provides an efficient solution.' Many businesses, particularly startups, freelancers and remote teams, require professional services without the long-term commitments of physical office leases. Virtual office solutions provide an alternative by offering a business address, phone numbers and receptionist support that allows companies to operate flexibly. These services allow businesses to control costs without sacrificing professionalism and the crucial connection to customers that is needed to thrive in a competitive world. A professional address in a central business district can enhance credibility, while a dedicated business phone number ensures clear and structured communication. The introduction of Virtual Receptionist Services offers additional support, allowing businesses to maintain responsiveness without requiring full-time staff. About Honcho Honcho is an Australian business services provider that has been assisting companies since 2008. With over 800,000 businesses served, Honcho offers Virtual Office Services, business registration, website building, phone services and live receptionist solutions. By leveraging technology, Honcho supports businesses in managing essential operations efficiently. Meijer sets opening day for newest neighborhood market in Clarkston

Meijer, the Grand Rapids-based multi-state Midwest grocer and retailer, announced that another small footprint store will open next month. On Wednesday, Meijer announced that its new 50,000-square-foot market at 5820 Waldon Road in Clarkston will open on April 30. The store is located near Sashabaw Road and the Interstate 75 freeway. Part of the Walden Village development, Meijer's new Independence Market is the fifth Michigan location of its smaller-footprint neighborhood markets. Fairfax Market in Cleveland opened last year. 'Independence Market is committed to serving our new neighbors with value and convenience that makes it easy to get in and out quickly,' Independence Market Store Director Robert Lajcaj said in a news release. 'Our team has been working hard to get the store ready to open with a great assortment of local and national brand products and we can't wait to welcome our neighbors next month.' Meijer's small-format stores are meant to have a neighborhood grocer appeal and vibe. While Meijer neighborhood markets are smaller, they offer a large selection of grocery goods, like fresh meat, produce, and deli items. The store also carries national brands and its own Meijer brand. There will also be a bakery. Like its other neighborhood markets, Independence Market will also focus on offering and carrying thousands of locally sourced products. Those products include coffee from Shaded Bloom Coffee Roasters, skin care products from Allow Nourishment, and ice cream from Cook's Dairy Farm, according to a news release. Its cafe space will feature items like coffee and Latin Street food from Honcho in Clarkston. Honcho restaurant is from Union Joints restaurant group, which operates more than a dozen metro Detroit restaurants, including Union Woodshop in Clarkston and Vinsetta Garage in Berkley. Meijer says its team will earn competitive wages, have access to health benefits and a 401(k) program with a company match. Meijer has four other smaller-format neighborhood markets. The first was Bridge Street Market in Grand Rapids, followed by Woodward Corner Market in Royal Oak, Capital City Market in Lansing, and Rivertown Market on East Jefferson in Detroit. Privately owned and family-operated Meijer has more than 500 supercenters, grocery stores, neighborhood markets, and express locations in several Midwest states. NYC to pay $3.5M to family of Belgian firefighter killed in FDNY boat crash

NYC will pay $3.5 million to the family of a visiting Belgian firefighter who was killed in a FDNY boat crash in the East River in 2022. Victim Johnny Beernaert, 54, was aboard the FDNY craft Marine 1 Bravo on June 17, 2022, on a sightseeing tour with three other civilians including his wife and one on-duty firefighter, when it collided with the chartered harbor cruise boat 'Honcho.' On Thursday, a Brooklyn Federal Court judge dismissed the lawsuit filed by Beernaert's estate and his wife, Heidi Vermandel, after she and the city came to terms in the case. The owner of the charter boat, New York City Boat Tours, and its skipper, Edward Mattiace, have agreed to pay out $500,000, according to the settlement papers. The Coast Guard determined the FDNY was at fault, finding excessive speed and inadequate lookout on the part of Marine 1 Bravo caused the devastating crash. 'My clients are satisfied with the settlement and they're looking forward to getting on with their lives after their tragic loss,' said Paul Hoffman, Vermandel's lawyer.

Honcho Simplifies Trademark Registration to Future-Proof Small Businesses

Photo credit: Honcho SYDNEY, Feb. 07, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Honcho, a leading provider of business services in Australia, is making trademark registration more accessible for small businesses. The company has developed a program streamlining the process, helping business owners protect their brand identities and ensure long-term success. A registered trademark grants businesses exclusive rights to their name, logo, or tagline, preventing unauthorised use and safeguarding their reputation. Without trademark protection, businesses risk brand dilution, imitation, and legal disputes that can impact customer trust and business growth. Miralda Ishkhanian, Chief Operating Officer of Honcho, explains the importance of trademark registration: 'A registered trademark is more than legal protection — it is an essential investment in a business's future. It signals professionalism and trustworthiness to customers while ensuring that brand identity remains secure.' Simplifying the Trademark Process Trademark registration can be complex and time-consuming, but Honcho has developed a user-friendly process designed for busy business owners. The process begins with a free trademark search, allowing business owners to check the availability of their desired trademark through a simple online form. For those who need additional support, Honcho provides personalised guidance from trademark specialists. The company's registration team handles the entire legal and administrative process, from filing applications to providing regular updates. This allows business owners to focus on their operations while ensuring their brand is professionally protected. Honcho has registered nearly 5,000 trademarks for Australian businesses since introducing its trademark services. The company's approach removes barriers that often prevent small businesses from securing their intellectual property. Affordable and Transparent Pricing Honcho's trademark registration services are designed to be cost-effective. Businesses can register a trademark for $799, which includes a 10-year registration, government statutory fees, GST, and bonus services. For businesses that need additional protection across multiple product or service categories, Honcho offers a discounted rate of $599 per extra class. By making trademark registration a tax-deductible expense, Honcho ensures that small businesses can access professional protection without significant financial strain. Future-Proofing Small Businesses A registered trademark is an asset that grows in value as a business expands. It provides protection across borders, strengthens customer trust, and makes companies more attractive to investors. 'As businesses grow, their trademarks become increasingly valuable,' says Ishkhanian. 'Honcho's goal is to help businesses secure their brand identity today so they can focus on long-term success.' About Honcho Since its inception in 2008, Honcho has helped over 800,000 Australians start, grow, and manage their businesses. The company provides a comprehensive range of services, including business registration, strategy development, financial planning, and trademark protection. By simplifying complex legal and administrative processes, Honcho enables business owners to focus on what they do best - running their businesses.
