Sony Is Giving Away Some Great Games For PS Plus Subscribers In July
PS Plus games for July 2025 Sony is celebrating the 15th anniversary of PlayStation Plus with something of a twist: The entire PS Plus Essential lineup is quite good in July. There are no bad games in this list, and one is a pretty major title. The lineup was revealed Wednesday morning and the new games will be available for PS Plus subscribers on Tuesday, July 1st. Be sure to download the current month's titles before that date. Here's what's coming in July. This classic 3v3 fighting game franchise has been around a long time. King Of Fighters debuted back in 1994! Players can choose from 39 different characters in local or online matches. This one came out back in 2022 and has a 79/100 Metacritic score on PS5. Definitely a fun game to play with friends, whether you're a skilled fighting game champion or a button-masher. It's crazy to think that Diablo IV has been around for two years and change. The PS Plus release of the game coincides with the release of Season 9, which adds new questlines, items, gameplay mechanics and more to the ARPG. Sins of the Horadrim also adds new quests and rewards. If you haven't gotten into this one yet (it's been available on Xbox Game Pass but not free on PlayStation) July will be a good time to go slay demons and loot. Fighting games too stressful? Tired of slaying demons? If you feel like something a little more chill and a little less intense, check out Jusant, a brilliant puzzle-climber about climbing a tall tower in the middle of a post-apocalyptic wasteland. From Life Is Strange studio DON'T NOD, Jusant is a visually stunning, often quite challenging game that's filled with whimsy. Definitely give it a shot if you're looking for something a little different. All told, this is a very strong lineup with lots of variety. Both Diablo IV and KOF15 can be played with friends, and Jusant is a great single-player title that you can take at a much slower pace. If only PS Plus was this good every month! On top of this, Sony is offering some other 15th Anniversary perks. PS Plus Premium members can play the WWE 2K25 demo or take Monster Hunter Wilds for a spin in a demo that launches June 30th. A PS Plus sale is also happening June 27th-29th. A new Valorant PS Plus pack is available today, celebrating that game's new season.

Also included is The King of Fighters XV, which, as the title suggests, is an instalment in a long-running series. The game features 39 characters, as well as a new combat system and a variety of battle options. Rounding out the trio is Diablo IV, an RPG game - where players can tackle a campaign either solo or with friends. The narrative combines a gripping story with memorable characters for users to meet along the way. Taking to Reddit, one fan commented: "Diablo and Jusant! Nice! Good month for me!" Another added: "Oh nice, I've been wanting to play Diablo for so long. I completed Diablo 1 some time ago and it was great." While a third shared: "Man, i had my eye on diablo 4 for months. This is amazing!" "Or live for the thrill of the hunt in the realistic hunting open world theHunter: Call of the Wild."

PlayStation Plus rolls out the big guns for its free July games
PlayStation Plus just announced the latest free titles coming in July, and the service also announced its 15-year anniversary (and that doesn't make us feel old at all, not even a little). July is bringing three more games to the mix, along with new game trials for PlayStation Plus members and multiple special offers to mark the occasion. If you're looking for something to keep you entertained while hiding away from the too-hot sun, check out these picks. Recommended Videos Diablo IV — PS5, PS4 Diablo IV first released in summer 2023, and now it's available for free for gamers who want to explore somewhere even hotter than the outdoors. Players can dive into the campaign solo or play with up to four others online (and two people in local co-op), and the game only gets better after you've finished the main story. The end game is where the Diablo franchise shines, with challenging bosses, tons of loot, and loads of activities to take part in. The King of Fighters XV — PS5, PS4 If battling the demons of hell isn't your vibe, maybe duking it out with other skilled opponents is. The King of Fighters XV brings the series' 3v3 battles to your living room, along with 39 different characters to choose from. Rollback netcode means you can play online without worrying about lag (to some extent, at least). The PlayStation Plus version includes exclusive DLC, too, so you can equip certain characters with classic costumes from previous games. Jusant — PS5 Jusant offers a more chill vibe than the other two options this month. You're tasked with reach the top of an ancient tower and discovering its history, balancing your climbing tools and stamina meter along the way. There are plenty of secrets to be found, so exploring alternative pathways is a great option. And unlike real life, if you fall off, you can always reload. In addition to these three free games, PlayStation Plus Premium members can try out a game trial of WWE 2K25 starting today, with a trial of Monster Hunter Wilds arriving on June 30. PlayStation Plus members will also have access to exclusive savings in the PlayStation Store from June 27-29. Other offers are up for grabs, too, including a pack of in-game goodies for Valorant, discounts on more than 2,000 movies across the PlayStation Store, and two free days of multiplayer gaming, even for users without PlayStation Plus.

The PS Plus free games for July 2025 have been announced, with the likes of Diablo 4 and Jusant arriving on PS5 and PS4 in the next few weeks for Essential subscribers. PS Plus has prematurely unveiled its new Essential games, announcing the addition of titles such as Diablo 4 and Jusant. PS Plus has had a somewhat inconsistent year, despite recently surprising fans with a major drop during Days of Play and revealing that Remedy Entertainment's FBC: Firebreak would be part of its Extra and Premium June 2025 drop. However, there have been enough disappointments to make players slightly wary. It can be frustrating for players to pay for online services, so the free games certainly help to sweeten the deal, particularly for Essential subscribers. This month, however, those subscribers are in for a pleasant surprise. Our PS Plus Essential July 2025 predictions suggested we might see some exciting new indie titles, and we weren't far off. But it was unexpected that Sony would deliver a AAA title with dark themes this month. The latest games have been announced, and they're a real treat for players. Sony has announced in a blog post that the new titles will be available to players from Tuesday, 1st July. Those games are: Diablo 4 This means that the previous line-up of games is set to vanish. So, make sure you download Destiny 2: The Final Shape, NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark 2024 and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk before they leave the service permanently and become paid titles. It's an impressive array of games, particularly with Diablo 4 nearing its Season 8 end date, and Jusant offering a fantastic climbing experience that fully immerses players in its world.
