More info A Melbourne woman named Kylie has stunned listeners on Nova's Late Drive radio show with the shocking tale of her marriage that lasted a mere 60 minutes. The bride was left in utter shock when her new husband disappeared shortly after their vows, not to be seen for months. Kylie's story of heartbreak began just after their picturesque wedding ceremony, as her groom vanished before they could even celebrate at their reception. She later found out he had been having an affair with her cousin. "I had a really short marriage. It wasn't even 24 hours," Kylie shared on air. "We got married and had a beautiful wedding. And he was gone for the reception." The couple had been together for six years, seemingly on track for wedded bliss, but the day took a dramatic turn post-ceremony. "We had the ceremony, did the photos - he was beautiful during the photoshoot, he was the love of my life. And then he just disappeared. I didn't hear from him for months," she recounted. Despite the groom's absence, the wedding reception went ahead, with Kylie maintaining a brave face for the guests who were oblivious to the unfolding drama, reports the Mirror. "Everyone was fine to stay and party the whole night - but I went back to my room by myself. He didn't want to be with me. He was seeing somebody else [the whole time], but he let us get married," she admitted. The situation worsened in the days following the wedding, particularly when family members enquired about their honeymoon and others congratulated her on her big day. "It was really hard, especially talking to family members [who called to ask about the new husband the next day]," Kylie shared. In a shocking turn of events, she later discovered that her unkind husband was having an affair with her own cousin. She confessed: "He's with my cousin now - he was cheating on me with her. I don't see him or my cousin. That would be really awkward." Despite the immense and painful betrayal, Kylie has managed to find some humour in the situation and says her family hasn't let her forget it. Taking everything in her stride, Kylie said: "My kids think it's hilarious - it's brought up all the time."
