Morocco and France launch «SEA BORDER 25» naval exercises
On Monday, June 10, Morocco and France launched the joint naval exercises «SEA BORDER 25», which will run until June 20. These exercises involve eight countries from the 5+5 Defense Initiative: Spain, France, Italy, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Mauritania, and Tunisia, as announced by the Commander in chief Mediterranean & black seas maritime zone on X.

The aim of these exercises is to enhance maritime security in the region to counter the increasing threats targeting strategic routes in the western Mediterranean.
They also seek to improve the level of coordination and joint operations between the naval forces of the participating countries, and to build a strong, effective, and sustainable regional security framework. The joint efforts during these exercises focus on proactive risk management and enhancing maritime stability in the region.
