HK star Philip Ng, 47, confirms romance with model Renee Li, 13 years his junior

Photo: China Press Hong Kong-American actor Philip Ng, the ex-boyfriend of former TVB star Linda Chung, has found love once again. The 47-year-old went public with model Renee Li on Wednesday (May 28), just a day after the pair were seen together at Raymond Lam's concert. According to Oriental Daily , Ng was previously spotted with a younger woman at a theme park. At the time, the Twilight Of The Warriors: Walled In (2024) star told reporters he was 'getting to know" someone but chose not to disclose her identity. In a recent interview with Hong Kong media, Ng revealed that he met Li, who's 13 years his junior, through a mutual friend. The actor also confirmed that Li, 34, was indeed the woman he had been seen with at the theme park previously. 'We were recently introduced by a mutual friend and started dating … I hope everyone can give us time and space. Thank you,' he said. Li joined the entertainment industry in 2011. She has appeared in films such as Magic To Win (2011) and Detective (2013), and has also taken on hosting duties for multiple ViuTV programmes over the years. For the record, Ng had famously dated Chung, 41, in secret for eight years. Their romance was kept hidden at the time due to work pressure, with Chung at the peak of her career while Ng was often targeted by the media. Following their breakup, Chung went on to marry chiropractor Jeremy Leung, with whom she has two children.

The former on-screen love interests reunite on stage. Photo: Linda Chung/Instagram Hong Kong singer-actor Raymond Lam recently held a seven-day concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Throughout the run, the 45-year-old invited various guest performers to join him on stage. But the moment that created the biggest buzz came on the sixth night, when actress Linda Chung made a surprise appearance. Lam and Chung, 41, were co-stars in the hit 2007 TVB drama Heart Of Greed , which also featured big names like Moses Chan, Tavia Yeung and Bosco Wong. In the series, they portrayed love interests whose undeniable chemistry made their characters fan favourites. Since then, the pair have rarely shared the screen. So it was a nostalgic treat for fans when Chung and Lam reunited to perform a duet during the concert – a moment that moved Chung to tears, prompting Lam to comfort her with a hug. According to a report by the two even addressed each other by their characters' names from Heart Of Greed on stage. They fondly reminisced about their past collaboration with Chung expressing joy at their reunion after a decade. She also complimented Lam for his present success with the concerts, to which Lam promised to be a guest at her future concert. The duo also delighted fans by singing part of the Heart Of Greed theme song in response to audience requests.

HONG KONG: Popular actor Roger Kwok has dismissed claims suggesting a romantic relationship with actress and former Miss Hong Kong, Hilary Chong. Rumours began circulating after tabloids reported that Kwok, 60, had been giving private tennis lessons to Chong, 23, following their recent collaboration on the TVB drama Golden Forest. In a recent interview, Kwok urged the public not to take the rumours seriously, adding that such speculations could interfere with his chances of finding love. "Please don't make wild guesses and stop me from finding my true soulmate! I'm not seeing anyone currently, but if these rumours keep spreading, it will only scare people away," he said. Kwok, who finalised his divorce from former TVB star Cindy Au in 2024 after 18 years of marriage, described Chong as intelligent and gracious. Chong has also laughed off the rumours, reiterating that there will never be room for romantic development as she and Kwok share a "father-daughter relationship". The TVB actress, crowned Miss Hong Kong in 2023, further clarified that other Golden Forest co-stars were present on the day she played tennis with Kwok. "Our group is like one big family. Everyone shares a good familial relationship," she said.
