According to a recall notice posted to the federal government's recall website, as well as IKEA's own website, the garlic press posts an ingestion hazard, with small metal pieces that could detach during use and become mixed in with food. As of June 9, there were no reports of major incidents or injuries reported, however, there were three incidents of 'minor injuries' such as a scratch or splinter to the hand. Which VÄRDEFULL garlic presses are impacted by the recall? The impacted tools feature date stamps from 2411 (YYWW) to 2522 (YYWW), and features the Ikea logo on the upper handle.
