Georgia couple arrested for leaving 3-year-old in a backyard shed without electricity or running water

A Georgia couple is now behind bars after allegedly leaving a 3-year-old alone in a backyard shed for weeks, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. Sarah Elizabeth Pombert, 34, and Joseph Matthew Turner, 35, were arrested on Monday after allegedly keeping 3-year-old Bjorn Turner in a backyard shed in Douglasville, Georgia, from May 1 to May 22, according to an arrest warrant obtained by ABC News on Friday. The shed was described as a "dirty living space" that did not have running water or electricity, according to the warrant. The suspects allegedly left the child "unsupervised, unbathed and unclothed with criminal negligence," according to the warrant. The two were arrested for second-degree child cruelty and are currently being held in the Douglas County Jail, according to jail records. Neither Pombert nor Turner has a defense attorney listed as of Friday, according to court records. One of the couple's neighbors, Matthew Govoni, told Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB that the shed burned down during Memorial Day weekend, but officials have not disclosed how they became aware of the child living there. The Douglas County Fire Department did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment. Govoni told WSB that Pombert and Turner have lived in their home for more than a decade and was "not surprised" to hear about the child's living conditions due to "the lifestyle they live." "I'm saddened for them and the child, but I mean, for the child, I hope they can get to a place where they can be helped," Govoni told WSB.

She says she can't directly investigate Dalton and Jason agrees to look into it for her. Josslyn informs Brennan that Dalton and Sidwell are working together, and Sidwell is financing the project. Jack gives her a box so she can clone Dalton's phone and tells her Anna's interest has been piqued. Josslyn figures she needs to discredit Emma to throw Anna off the scent. Jack tells her not to attract Anna's attention for fear she'll figure out Josslyn is working for the bureau. Jack warns her that she can't run interference if Anna comes snooping around. At the courthouse Ric surmises that based on the dates, Michael cheated on Willow first and Sasha has no choice but to agree. General Hospital June 4 Episode Recap: Lucky Finally Proposes to Liz as Anna Begins to Investigate Dalton

The June 4 episode of General Hospital delivered a mix of emotional turns, family conflict, and courtroom drama. From Anna's growing suspicions about Professor Dalton to bombshells in Michael and Willow's custody case, here's a full recap of the episode. Anna calls Jack to her office, not for a professional matter but a personal one. She updates him about Henry Dalton, who previously forced students in California to sign NDAs and had them expelled for breaking into his lab. She's concerned about his cold fusion research now that he's working at PCU. Jack believes Anna is overreacting, especially since Emma was involved, and refuses to help. Later, Felicia visits Anna, who admits she still carries guilt about missing parts of Robin's life and may be overcompensating. Still, Anna believes Dalton is dangerous and asks Felicia for help. At the Metro Court pool, Gio works as a lifeguard and talks to Emma about his confusion. He shares that he recently learned Sonny is his grandfather and Brook Lynn is his mother, but he's not sure who to trust. He tells Emma that aside from her, Sonny is the only one he somewhat trusts. Later, Gio interrupts a private conversation between Laura and Sonny, mistakenly thinking Sonny is following him. Laura thanks Gio for helping Rocco and notes his pain. She and Sonny agree to keep an eye on Rocco and present a united front for him. Ezra arrives and starts livestreaming the conversation, prompting Gio to 'accidentally' push him into the pool, to Laura's amusement. Meanwhile, Jack warns Vaughn that Anna is on to Dalton. They need Dalton to finish his project so the WSB can obtain it. Vaughn agrees to handle Anna while dismissing Joss as too inexperienced for interference. Lucky surprises Liz with a romantic lunch to celebrate her cast removal. He proposes, expressing his continued love. Liz, moved but conflicted, declines his proposal, saying she loves him but can't say yes. Brook Lynn confronts Lulu for revealing the truth to Gio. Lulu defends her actions, explaining how she uncovered the truth. Brook Lynn believes Lulu wanted to destroy her life and warns her that she won't walk away without consequences. At court, Joss testifies that Willow prioritized Drew over her children at the Nurses Ball. Michael takes the stand and claims Willow's cult past and health issues make her unfit to parent. Ric counters with Michael's own past and criminal record. Diane introduces shocking evidence of Willow and Drew's affair in the nursery and reveals Willow named Drew as guardian. Ric calls Nina, who says Michael just wants revenge. The biggest shock comes when Ric questions Sasha, who admits to sleeping with Michael and confirms he is the father of her unborn child, not Jason. This revelation leaves Willow, Drew, Carly, and the entire courtroom stunned.

General Hospital Spoilers May 22: Curtis is Decisive, Drew is Confident as Secrets Blow Up at the Nurses' Ball

In addition to the Nurses' Ball continuing, General Hospital spoilers for Thursday, May 22, 2025, reveal that Curtis makes a decision while Drew is confident. The Nurses' Ball continues. We've already experienced the glamorous (and supremely sarcastic) red carpet, and the performances have begun. Now it's time for the other Nurses' Ball staple to happen. According to the teasers, the Nurses' Ball continues, and secrets explode. There is a whole list of Port Charles secrets that could be outed at this premiere event. Best bets? Michael and Sasha's (Sofia Mattsson) affair and pregnancy. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) are Gio's (Giovanni Mazza) parents. Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) were sleeping together well before Drew went after Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Drew was behind keeping Willow from Michael in Baden-Baden. Josslyn is working for the WSB. Heck, even who's behind the explosion at Sonny's (Maurice Benard) penthouse and who's trying to kill him. Plus, Nina and Portia (Brook Kerr) teamed up to drug Drew. Any others? Meanwhile, Curtis (Donnell Turner) makes a decision. He will undoubtedly confront Portia about her lies and Drew's blackmail. Will he sacrifice Aurora Media in order to get Drew off their backs? Or will he double down and decide to take down Drew by hook or by crook? Speaking of Drew, the teasers suggest that he is confident. Isn't that his natural state of being? Confidence, or some might say cockiness. He thinks he's this expert puppetmaster pulling everybody's strings. But his House of Cards will fall at some point. But will it be at the Nurses' Ball? READ THIS: Battle of the Soap Supercouples: GH's Gio & Emma vs. DAYS' Holly & Doug Here's something awesome — a Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) teaser. The Quartermaine couple issues a warning, but to whom and about what? Hopefully, this will have some sort of effect on the Brook Lynn secret coming out. These two could warn Lulu (Alexa Havins) to stay away from Brook Lynn. Or maybe it has something to do with Lois (Rena Sofer), who is keeping major secrets from both Ned and Olivia. READ THIS: Take a look behind-the-scenes at GH's Nurses' Ball Finally, Carly (Laura Wright) meets Vaughn (Bryce Durfee), Joss's handler, but Carly doesn't know that. We'll see what story the WSB agent tells Joss's mother. He'd better get his story straight, though. Nobody needs a suspicious Carly, especially Joss and Jack (Chris McKenna).
