STAMFORD, Conn. – May 12, 2025 – NBC Sports today announced the schedule for its unprecedented 35th season broadcasting Notre Dame Football, headlined by primetime games against the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday, Sept. 13; USC Trojans on Saturday, Oct. 18; and Navy Midshipmen on Saturday, Nov. 8, all on NBC and Peacock. The Fighting Irish are expected to be led by star running back and Heisman contender Jeremiyah Love, 2024 Freshman All-American cornerback Leonard Moore, and Wisconsin transfer wide receiver Will Pauling, a 2023 third-team All-Big Ten selection.
Notre Dame opens its home slate against Texas A&M on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock, in a rematch of last season's opener that saw the Fighting Irish win, 23-13, on the road against the then-No. 20 Aggies. This will be the first time since 2000 that Texas A&M will play in South Bend. Notre Dame leads the all-time series, 4-2.
For the first time in program history, Notre Dame will take on Boise State on Oct. 4 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Broncos are coming off one of their best seasons in school history, winning the Mountain West Conference and appearing in the College Football Playoff, where they fell to No. 5 Penn State.
Peacock exclusively streams a Notre Dame Football game for the fifth consecutive season on Saturday, Oct. 11, when the Fighting Irish host North Carolina State at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Fighting Irish defeated the Wolfpack, 45-24, in their most recent meeting in 2023.
Notre Dame hosts a pair of historic rivals in back-to-back home games against USC (Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET) and Navy (Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET). In a rivalry dating back to 1926, Notre Dame leads the all-time series against the Trojans, 52-38-5, having won six of the previous seven matchups. In another longstanding series dating back to 1927, Notre Dame has an 83-13-1 all-time record against the Midshipmen and has won the past seven games.
NBC Sports will also present home games against in-state rival Purdue on Sept. 20 at 3:30 p.m. ET and Syracuse, coming off a successful season that ended in a Holiday Bowl win, on Nov. 22 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Throughout the 2025 season, Peacock will simulcast all Notre Dame games airing live on NBC, including pre- and postgame coverage. Peacock has previously provided exclusive live coverage of the Notre Dame Football Blue-Gold game, Notre Dame Pro Day and Notre Dame hockey.

Last year, in head coach Marcus Freeman's third season leading the program, the Fighting Irish finished No. 2 in the Associated Press rankings with a 14-2 record, culminating in the program's first National Championship Game appearance since 2012, a loss to No. 1 Ohio State. En route to the title game, the Fighting Irish notched victories against No. 5 Penn State, No. 6 Georgia, and No. 10 Indiana in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff.

A team headlined by Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam has been successful thanks to the depth of the team, not their superstars. Advertisement Depth can be costly, though. The Pacers are paying $169 million in salary this season, and are already committed to $167.9 million for next year, and that's before a potential extension of Myles Turner. The Pacers have done a great job at drafting NBA-ready players to keep bench costs relatively low, and one prospect stands out as a draft riser who could continue to contribute. Tankathon's NBA Mock Draft has the Pacers landing Washington State wing Cedric Coward with the No. 23 overall pick. Coward started the draft process ranked outside of the first round, but has been a quick draft riser over the past few months. Coward began his collegiate career at Division III Willamette University, averaging 19.4 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. Coward then transferred to Eastern Washington. In his first season with the Eagles, Coward came off the bench and played a key role, averaging 7.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. In his second season with Eastern Washington, he earned All-Big Sky honors, averaging 15.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Coward then transferred to Washington State, where he played just six games this past season due to a torn labrum, which required surgery. Coward looked stellar in his short sample with the Cougars, averaging 17.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Advertisement One of the most coveted archetypes in the modern NBA is the "3-and-D" player. Coward fits that mold to a T. Coward has a beautifully smooth shooting stroke, and he has touch from all over the floor. He shows comfort shooting off the catch, on the move, and as a pull-up shooter. In his three seasons of Division I basketball, Coward knocked down 38.8 percent of his three-point attempts and 83.2 percent of his free throws. Physically, Coward's size is an NBA dream. Listed at 6-foot-6, Coward has a 7-foot-2 wingspan and an 8-foot-10 standing reach. Cedric had among the top ten largest hands at the NBA combine. Coward possesses the arms of a much larger man, and it makes him very effective as a defender. Coward is a defensive playmaker, with a career steal percentage of 1.9 percent and a block rate of 3.7 percent in Division I. In his six-game season with Washington State, Coward averaged 1.7 blocks per game, with a block rate of 5.3 percent. Advertisement He's not a lead guard by any means. He has some ability with the ball in his hands, but he doesn't have elite burst and struggles to create separation against high-level defenses or aggressive help schemes. As a connector, though, Coward thrives. Playing within the flow of the offense is the name of the game for Coward. He runs well in transition, and that's truly where his playmaking ability shines. He has impeccable vision and timing as a playmaker on the fast break, which would work wonders for Rick Carlisle's Pacers team. Coward is a dream roleplayer. He brings an unselfish, team-first mindset paired with ancillary skills, great instincts, and insane genetics. Coward can step right in and make an impact, especially on a team like the Pacers that has had so much success with plug-and-play contributors. For the Pacers specifically, he brings more size and length on the wing than Aaron Nesmith, Ben Sheppard, and Andrew Nembhard do. His shot will have no problem translating to the NBA, and he can shoot well with volume. Haliburton and Siakam should generate plenty of open looks for Coward. Advertisement There's also a world, given his wingspan, that allows him to play bigger than he is, that Carlisle could deploy Coward as a four or perhaps even a small-ball five in a super-spread offense. Lee Corso's final 'College GameDay' show will be Aug. 30 at Ohio State
BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) — Lee Corso's final headgear pick on 'College GameDay' will be on the campus where it all started. ESPN's iconic show will begin its 39th season at Ohio State before the defending national champion Buckeyes host the Texas Longhorns on Aug. 30. Advertisement Corso, who turns 90 in August, announced earlier this year that his final show would be on the opening week of the season. Corso began his popular headgear segment on Oct. 5, 1996, before Ohio State faced Penn State. Since then, he has gone 286-144 in 430 selections wearing everything from helmets and mascot heads to dressing up as the Fighting Irish leprechaun from Notre Dame, the Stanford tree and historic figures James Madison and Benjamin Franklin. He has worn 69 different school's mascot headgear. Corso — the lone remaining member of GameDay's original cast — has selected and worn Brutus Buckeye's headgear a record 45 times. Alabama is next with 38. This will be the 26th appearance by 'College GameDay' in Columbus. The Buckeyes have a 19-6 record in those games. Cowboys learn tourney schedule
Last November, the Cowboys used a trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands to help build the camaraderie that led to a historic season. McNeese State hopes to do that again this year. The Cowboys will be the headline act at the four-team field for the 2025 Cayman Islands Classic, which runs November 23-25. 'We're thrilled to participate in such a prestigious event, set in one of the most beautiful locations in the world,' said McNeese head coach Bill Armstrong. 'Competing against three programs with strong traditions of postseason success will be a significant early test for our team. Each matchup will present unique challenges and provide a valuable gauge of our current standing. 'It's a great opportunity to learn, grow, and identify the areas we need to improve as we prepare for conference play.' McNeese is coming off a 28-7 campaign that saw the Cowboys win their second straight Southland Conference championship, marking the first time in program history. The Cowboys also won their first NCAA Tournament game ever, upsetting Clemson 69-67 in the opening round of the Midwest Regional in Providence, Rhode Island. McNeese would lose its second-round match against Big Ten powerhouse Purdue. Armstrong takes over the Cowboys following Will Wade's departure for North Carolina State last March. He was able to retain four key members from last year's team, including starters Javohn Garcia and sharpshooter DJ Richards. Garcia was the Southland Conference's Player of the Year last season. With eight or nine new players on the roster, Armstrong will use this trip to continue building the Cowboys' team unity. 'It is important that we use trips like this to come together as a team,' Armstrong said. 'It will be great for an educational experience and a chance for us to bond as a group. 'We will also get a chance to play some good teams at a time when we are still trying to figure things out. I would rather play a tournament setting because there is a prize, but getting these three games against like competition will be big for us.' McNeese will be joined by George Washington, Murray State and Middle Tennessee State in the round-robin event. 'We're excited to welcome these outstanding programs to this year's Cayman Islands Classic,' said Joe Wright, owner and chief executive officer of Caymax Sports Ltd. 'They're in for a first-class experience — both on the court and in the beautiful Cayman Islands. It's going to be a special week of competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories for teams and fans alike.' The Cowboys will open the tourney, which is in its seventh year, against George Washington on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 4 p.m., Lake Charles time. Middle Tennessee State and Murray State will play the night's second game. The following night, the Cowboys will play Murray State in the late game, roughly 6:30 p.m., with Middle Tennessee and GW in the opener. McNeese will open the final night with a 4 p.m. game against Middle Tennessee in John Gray Gymnasium in George Town, Grand Cayman. Middle Tennessee State went 22–12 in 2024-25, advancing to the National Invitation Tournament under head coach Nick McDevitt. Chris Caputo returns for his third year as head coach at George Washington, which plays in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Ryan Miller enters his first year as head coach at the Missouri Valley Conference's Murray State, looking to improve on the team's 16–17 record from last year. The Cowboys are still looking to fill the final two games of their schedule in hopes of finding a pair of Power 4 opponents.
