Parmeet Sethi calls vlogging his ‘second career', reveals sons want to become actors: ‘They audition every week…'

Archana Puran Singh, along with her husband Parmeet Sethi and their sons Aryamann and Ayushmaan, have gained immense popularity with their vlogs on YouTube. In fact, they even documented their recent holiday in Switzerland. In an interview with SCREEN, Parmeet opened up about their trip, making kids fly economy, and their rising fame. In one of their vlogs, their sons revealed that their parents Archana and Parmeet didn't allow them to fly in business class with them, and asked them to earn their own money to enjoy the privilege. When asked about the same, he shared, 'We have always tried to keep our children grounded, as normal as possible and keeping them away from the trappings of being in a filmy family. Jitna normal ho sake itna rakhne ki koshish ki hai humne. We have more or less succeeded.' Parmeet continued, 'We taught them that just because you are a star kid, you won't get any special attention, status or treatment. So, earn your livelihood, and at the same time, earn your respect. The beauty shouldn't come to you in your lap. This is what we have inculcated in them since the beginning. They understand that and agree to it. When they travelled in business class with their own money, that joy was incomparable. It was ten times more than your parents handing you a ticket.' 'Aryamann has a music career and also wants to become an actor. Ayushman only wants to become an actor. He is really looking for a lead role in a series or film. Both are auditioning every week. They have been preparing themselves from the last 2-3 years with Atul Mongia classes and everything. They are itching to come on screen now,' he said. With over 7 lakh subscribers on YouTube, Parmeet feels that this could be a second innings of his career, something that the family wasn't expecting. 'It makes me happy that millions of people are watching us. We were not expecting it – socha tha 20-25K views ajayenge and now it's in millions. We all are very grateful. It's like a second career for me. Archana, I and the kids have started taking it seriously. Maybe it is the plan B which is coming good,' he reflected. Has it proved to be more fruitful than his career as an actor? 'It has proved to be more fruitful, definitely. We started it because we believe that this is the future and we wanted to be a part of it. The entertainment landscape is changing rapidly,' he replied. 'It is coming to your phone screen. My sons were recognised on the roads of Switzerland. More than us, they were being stopped for selfies. They are the new kids on the block, people wanted to talk to them. It makes my heart so happy,' Parmeet concluded.

Archana Puran Singh's son wants to move to Switzerland and become a farmer, Parmeet Sethi laughs in his face: ‘Mera beta kheti karega'

Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi, who are currently vacationing in Switzerland with their two sons Aaryamann and Ayushmaan, posted a new travel vlog recently. In the new video, the family went for a buggy ride, enjoyed paragliding, and had a fancy meal. Aaryamann was so impressed with the serenity of Interlacen that he even contemplated living out the rest of his life there. 'Do some farming and enjoy life,' he said, but his father didn't take him seriously. Laughing in his face, Parmeet joked, 'Now I've seen it all.' The vlog began with the family going on a buggy ride around the town of Interlaken. They made jokes at each other, and Aaryamann even flirted with his mother via a sock puppet. He continued this gag throughout the vlog, making his mother and father uncomfortable. Next, they went paragliding. While Archana had to skip the activity because of her injured hand, the other three had the time of their life. Ayushmaan and Parmeet confessed that they nearly threw up initially, but had a blast after settling in. Aaryamann took a look at the serenity around him, and said that he'd love to move here. Work a little, and then enjoy nature,' Parmeet said, and Aaryamann added, 'Yes, and do a little kheti (farming).' Parmeet started laughing. 'Say that with a straight face. My son the farmer, now I've seen it all,' he said, and Aaryamann replied, 'I'm desi, farming is in my blood.' Later the family went on a hike up a mountain, where they caught a glimpse of Europe's tallest peak. They ended their day with a fancy dinner at a restaurant that someone had recommended to them. This is when Parmeet chose to tell a story about his childhood. He said that when he was two years old, his mother would put him on the toilet and do her chores in the meantime. An advertisement for Modern Bread would play on the radio, and it would end with a lion's roar. Parmeet said that he'd fall into the toilet every time the lion roared. 'This didn't happen just once, it happened four or five times,' he said, as everyone laughed. 'Let's try this at home and see if he'll fall in again,' Aaryamann said.
