Marina Summers walks red carpet of Cannes Film Festival
Marina Summers was among the stars who graced the first day of the Cannes Film Festival's red carpet.
On Facebook, the Filipina drag artist shared photos of herself looking glamorous in a black one-shoulder dress by Mark Bumgarner.
'So so so honored to be the first Filipina drag queen to be invited to walk the red carpet of [Cannes Film Festival]. Such a big moment to be repping for the Filipino Drag and Queer community in the sea of people on the red carpet,' Marina wrote in the caption.
'Thank you so much for making herstory with me [Mark], [Earl Semitara], [Michele Marie Bumgarner]. I OWE YOU THIS BIG TIME! I will forever treasure this moment! love you!'
Marina starred in the second season of "RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World" in 2024 and finished in third place.
She was the only Asian contestant on the show, where she showcased Filipino culture all throughout.
Marina was also a frontrunner, having won three Ru Badges in the first six episodes.

On Wednesday, Jungkook and Jimin got discharged after serving 18 months in the South Korean military, a day after fellow members RM and V completed their service. The housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" wrestled with feelings of hurt and guilt after the first face-to-face nominations of the season. On Tuesday's episode, Bianca De Vera told her duo Dustin Yu that she expected the nominations from the other housemates, but not from her close friend Mika Salamanca. "Kaya kong lumaban para sa kanya, kaya ko siyang protektahan hanggang sa makakaya ko. It hurts to see we're not on the same page," she said. Mika and her duo, Brent Manalo, tried to talk to Bianca but she avoided them. When they tried again, she said she needed time. Bianca and Mika later spoke and hugged it out. AZ Martinez also opened up to her duo, River Joseph. She said the nominations from Dustin, Ralph De Leon, and Will Ashley were something that she did not see coming.
