No Plan B – Inter Milan Only Considering Atalanta Talisman & Not Interested In Chelsea Outcast

Inter Milan are only considering Ademola Lookman as a target, and won't move for Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku.
This according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have now really set out their stall in their pursuit of Ademola Lookman.
On Tuesday, the Nerazzurri raised their bid for the Nigerian from €40 million to €45 million, including add-ons.
First this came informally, in a conversation between Inter President Beppe Marotta and Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi. Then, Inter officially sent their bid via e-mail, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter are offering an initial fee of €42 million for Lookman. Plus €3 million in add-ons.

According to the Gazzetta, Atalanta are not going to wait long to respond to Inter's latest offer.
The newspaper report that La Dea will give their response officially by tomorrow. And they could even informally communicate their response today.
The Gazzetta report that Inter are confident that their bid will be accepted.
There is also the option to try and sign Christopher Nkunku. Chelsea have reportedly offered the Frenchman to Inter.
However, the Nerazzurri are not thinking about any 'Plan B' to Lookman, whether it be Nkunku or anyone else. They only want to sign Lookman.

Ademola Lookman requests transfer from Atalanta citing broken promises and poor treatment

BERGAMO, Italy (AP) — Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has handed the club a formal transfer request, the player said Sunday. Lookman made the announcement with a statement posted on Instagram. The 27-year-old said the request was made 'after many months of broken promises and what I feel has been poor treatment towards me as both a human being and as a professional footballer. 'Sadly I feel I have no choice but to speak out for what I believe is right and I feel that enough is enough,' he said. He said in the statement that it had already been decided that it was the 'right time" for him "to move on and experience a new adventure.' He said he and the club ownership had been 'in agreement' that now was the right time for a transfer, and that the club agreed to let him leave if a fair offer was made. He said an offer did arrive but now the club was not sticking to its end of the agreement. 'Despite now receiving an offer in alignment to what I believe had been discussed, sadly the club are blocking the opportunity for reasons I do not understand,' he said. Lookman did not give other details about the offer. ___ AP soccer:

Fabrizio Romano confirms Liverpool have sent message to Alexander Isak

Liverpool have FAILED in their first official bid for Alexander Isak. A bid - reported to be in the region of £120m - was sent to Newcastle for the Swedish striker but was quickly knocked back. Isak is under contract at St. James' Park until 2028 but it would be surprising if he remains there beyond this summer. 🔴 Shop the LFC Store 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! Liverpool are well aware that Isak wants the move - although it was reported on Friday that the club would indeed take Newcastle's first 'No' for an answer. Fabrizio Romano: Rejected bid is part of the game That stance contradicts what Fabrizio Romano has heard however. The Italian transfer supremo FULLY expects Liverpool to be back with another bid. There is ample time - both for Liverpool to complete a deal for Isak and Newcastle to sign a replacement. 'Liverpool know that this is part of the game,' Romano told his YouTube audience. 'It's still beginning of August. There's still plenty of time to go before the end of the transfer window.' Liverpool's bid a MESSAGE to Isak The bid was confirmation if it were needed that Liverpool consider Isak a priority target. It was, according to Romano, conceived as a MESSAGE to Isak. Liverpool wanted to show the Newcastle No14 that their interest was genuine - and that they were going to do whatever it takes to deliver this signing. 'Liverpool wanted to show to the player: 'Okay, we are really ready.' That's not just an informal conversation. That's not just a verbal proposal. It's an official bid,' Romano states.
