Hindupur MP calls for coordination between officials and public representatives
The MP, who is the chairperson of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA), was chairing the panel meeting at the Collectorate here, along with District Collector T.S. Chetan.
Key discussions focused on agriculture, pensions, housing, MGNREGS, fisheries, and national highways. The MP stressed on resolving issues caused by flaws in previous land surveys, which had excluded some eligible beneficiaries.
He highlighted the success of the 'Thalliki Vandhanam' scheme and asked officials to ensure that the benefits reached all eligible mothers.
He stressed on the need for prompt disbursement of benefits under PM-Kisan and Annadata Sukhibhava schemes, clearance of insurance claims under PMSBY, and swift redressal of public grievances.
Mr. Parthasarathi asked the officials to focus on the long-pending issues in the fisheries sector. The MP further reviewed the ongoing works related to the national highways in the district.
He informed the officials to speed up the identification process for the removal of ineligible recipients of welfare schemes, while adding that the initiatives should reach genuine beneficiaries above caste or political affiliations. He further suggested setting up village-level grievance redressal cells for new ration cards.

Andhra Pradesh CM distributes land-title deeds to Nellore residents
NELLORE: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed that his ultimate goal is to build a poverty-free society by 2029. Participating virtually from Amaravati in a land-title distribution programme held on Saturday evening at Bhagat Singh colony in Nellore's 54th division, Naidu emphasised that his government was working tirelessly for the underprivileged. Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister Dr P Narayana and Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy personally handed over land titles to two women beneficiaries, while Secretariat staff distributed titles to the remaining recipients. Speaking to the colony residents online, Naidu said that Minister Narayana had brought to his notice the decades-old issue of land titles in Bhagat Singh Colony, where poor families had suffered for nearly 40 years without proper documents. He said the Cabinet had approved immediate action to resolve the matter, praising Minister Narayana for efficiently organising the programme. Highlighting his government's Super Six welfare commitments, the Chief Minister said pensions were being distributed without delay, benefiting 64 lakh people with Rs 33,000 crore annually. He also cited the Thalliki Vandanam scheme for mothers, Annadata Sukhibhava for farmers, free LPG cylinders under Deepam 2.0, the reopening of Anna Canteens, and the upcoming free bus travel for women from August 15. Naidu announced the launch of the P4 programme on August 19 to support 15 lakh poor families. Narayana thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of Bhagat Singh colony's residents. PM Modi To Launch Bengaluru Metro's Yellow Line, New Vande Bharat Express Today
Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the much-awaited Yellow Line of Bangalore Metro and the Vande Bharat Express train between Bengaluru and Belagavi here on Sunday. He will also lay the foundation stone for the Bangalore Metro Phase-3 project. As per the itinerary shared by the Chief Minister's Office, PM Modi will participate in three events during his nearly four-hour visit to the city. PM Modi will be landing at the HAL Airport here at 10.30 am. He will then travel by helicopter and road to the KSR Bengaluru (city) railway station, where he will flag off Vande Bharat Express train between KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi. He will also virtually flag off two more Vande Bharat Express trains between Amritsar-Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katri, and Ajni (Nagpur)-Pune. PM Modi will then travel by road to the RV Road (Ragigudda) metro station on the Yellow Line. Between 11:45 am to 12:50 pm he will be flagging off Yellow Line (reach 5) and take a metro ride to the Electronic City station. From there, PM Modi will travel to the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bengaluru, where he will be laying the foundation stone for Bangalore metro phase-3 and officially inaugurating the yellow line from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra station, and address the gathering. He will then travel by helicopter to the HAL Airport and fly back to Delhi at 2.45 pm. The total route length of the project will be more than 44 km with 31 elevated stations. This infrastructure project will address the growing transportation needs of the city, catering to residential, industrial, commercial, and educational areas. Phase 3 will have two corridors or lines: JP Nagar 4th Phase to Kempapura (32.15 km) and Hosahalli to Kadabagere (12.5 km).
