13 Female Celebs Who Got Real About Cosmetic Procedures

Buzz Feed29-07-2025
For decades, celebrities have been secretive about their cosmetic procedures — even when many people were speculating.
But by 2025, conversations around plastic surgery have become much more open, and a growing number of female celebs have chosen to speak candidly on their experiences. Here are some celebrities who have spoken about the cosmetic work they've done, and their personal reasons behind it.
Over the years, Chrissy Teigen has been candid about the cosmetic surgeries she's had. In a 2017 interview with Allure, she revealed how she underwent an armpit fat removal procedure.
"Maybe nine years ago," (I had) "my armpit sucked out which was one of the best things I've done. It's a big secret, but I don't care. And it added two inches to my arms. It made me feel better in strapless dresses, and I felt more confident."
Kylie Jenner recently opened up about her breast augmentation. In May 2025, she shared her exact implant size and the doctor she chose.
"445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! Silicone!!!" "Hope this helps lol."
In a 2015 interview with Seventeen, Iggy Azalea shared her experience getting a nose job, bluntly stating that "denying it is lame."
"It's no easy feat to live with your flaws and accept yourself—and it's no easy feat to change yourself. Either way you look at it, it's a tough journey. There are things that I didn't like about myself that I changed through surgery. There are other things I dislike but I've learned to accept."
Dolly Parton has never been one to stray from the truth — especially when it comes to plastic surgery. In 2023, the country legend discussed getting Botox, fillers, and more.
'If something is bagging, sagging, or dragging, I'll tuck it, suck it, or pluck it...I try to do just little bits at a time — I don't do like really big stuff. Only when I have to do something a little more, and even then, I try to be careful.'
Victoria Beckham addressed rumours in a 2024 interview with Hello! Magazine. She revealed she hadn't touched her nose — but did acknowledge having breast implants in the past. She later had them removed in 2014.
"I should probably say, don't mess with your boobs...All those years I denied it – stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you've got."
Cardi B has always kept it real — especially when it comes to cosmetic surgery. In a 2022 Instagram live, she opened up about getting butt injections in the past, and how she's undergone many procedures to remove them.
"I got some more butt injections removed (in January) because you know it takes rounds to get your butt injections removed, and I also went to fix certain things with my fibrosis...All I'm going to say is that if you're young, if you're 19, 20, 21, and sometimes you're too skinny, and you be like 'OMG I don't have enough fat to put in my ass,' so you result to ass shots, bitch don't fu**ing do it!"
Ariana Madix rose in popularity as the host on Love Island USA. In 2024, Ariana cleared the air herself, responding directly to a social media post and openly listing her cosmetic work.
"Tox in 11's, outer brow, and my neck. Ellevate for my neck in 2019 by @theneckdoctor. Minimal lip filler bc my face is too small to handle very much, and filler in my chin. Absolutely no filler anywhere else and def no bleph yet. Hope this helps! I'll keep y'all posted if I do anything else.'
After years of dominating the modeling world and reality TV with America's Next Top Model, Tyra Banks decided to discuss the cosmetic work she'd gotten done. In her 2018 book Perfect is Boring, she candidly spoke about her nose job.
"I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching...I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth."
Speaking of models, supermodel Cindy Crawford has also been refreshingly honest about her cosmetic surgeries. In a 2024 interview with Hello! Magazine, she shared that while she's had Botox done in the past, she relies on a healthy lifestyle to help maintain her glow.
"I'll do those kinds of things, but in the end I truly haven't seen anything that's made such a huge difference that I like on anyone."
In 2022, Amy Schumer opened up on Instagram about her shifted views on cosmetic surgery. She shared how she never thought she'd go under the knife — but after undergoing surgery to remove her uterus and appendix to fix her endometriosis, her perspective changed.
"I feel good. Finally. It's been a journey, thanks for helping me get my strength back @seckinmd (endo) @jordanternermd (lipo). Never thought I would do anything, but talk to me after your uterus doesn't contract for 2.5 years and you turn 40."
For someone who's been in the spotlight for almost six decades, Cher has been super open about her cosmetic procedures — especially her facelift. In 1984, she told British broadcaster Terry Wogan about her mother's decision to get a facelift. Fast-forward to 2018, she was just as unapologetic when telling the Daily Mail about her own experience.
"Yes, I've had a facelift, but who hasn't?"
Megan Fox clarified longstanding rumours in a 2024 interview on Call Her Daddy. She confirmed she had a breast augmentation and a nose job, and took the opportunity to shut down a few more surgery rumours.
"I had my boobs done when I was 21 or 22 and I had them redone after I was finished breastfeeding my kids...I've literally been accused of having six, seven, eight rhinoplasty surgeries, I haven't had a rhinoplasty since, I'm going to say 23. It's been well over a decade. I've not touched my nose since then."
Ariana Grande has faced speculation about plastic surgery for many years. But in a Vanity Fair lie detector interview with Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo, she addressed the rumours head-on, discussing her past experiences with filler and Botox.
'I've had fillers in various places, and Botox...But I stopped like four years ago. And that is the extent. Whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed."
Cosmetic surgery is a deeply personal decision. Everyone's journey with beauty is different, and hearing these celebrities share their stories helps to reduce the stigma.

Kylie Jenner Serves Serious '90s Nostalgia With Her ‘Deep French Manicure'

However, when you buy something through our retail links, Condé Nast may earn an affiliate '90s were an iconic time for beauty. We're talking frosted eye shadow, brown lipstick, and, of course, the infamous skinny brow. So it's no wonder Kylie Jenner decided to pull from this nostalgic era for her latest manicure. This nail look is simple, classic, and straight from the '90s. It's a French manicure with white tips and a nude base, but rather than a regular French or even a micro Frenchie (which pal Hailey Bieber wore recently), it's a thicker, chunkier white French tip. Jenner's go-to celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt is the one responsible for this nostalgic manicure coined the 'Deep '90s French.' In an Instagram post, Ganzorigt shared that she pulled inspiration from the cover of a '90s issue of Nails Magazine, so it really is straight from that time. While square-shaped nails reigned supreme in the '90s and have stood the test of time, Jenner opted instead for medium-length almond-shaped tips to modernize the look and customize it to her liking. Here's some good news about this mani: It is so easy to recreate. The look is straightforward, making it ideal if you're a beginner DIY-ing your nails at home or if you prefer more minimalistic nail art. At the nail salon, you can expect a coat of a nude base followed by a couple coats of white on each nail tip. Your nail artist will then use a small nail brush to shape the French tip to perfection. If you're doing it at home, there are even French manicure stamp tools you can buy to simply press the shape onto your nails. It literally couldn't be easier, which is great news, because we're definitely going to need to copy this look ASAP. Saviland French Tip Nail Stamp $10.00, Amazon Essie Nail Polish in Snowy White $10.00, Amazon Jenner is a big fan of a good French mani lately. From disco polka-dot nails and studded Frenchies to a twisted French, she's leaning into the look big time. While her previous French manicures have been more intricate with added designs, her deep '90s French is a slight departure from that in its simplicity. Nail minimalists will be on board. Jenner's also been trying other retro vibes lately. She's been spotted multiple times this summer wearing the season's hottest fashion pattern: polka dots. The beauty mogul wears and curates a lot of vintage pieces, so we can't say we're surprised. After all, who doesn't love a bit of nostalgia? Kylie Jenner Wears a 'Deep '90s French' Manicure

Kylie Jenner is betting on a new version of an old trend this summer. Add in Zola Ganzorigt, the nail artist who gave the world Hailey Bieber's glazed donut nails and essentially every other viral style out there? Well, then you've got summer's next biggest nail trend, the Deep French. Ganzorigt shared a close-up of the look, along with the inspiration: The cover of an issue of Nails magazine from June 1997, where you can see two hands with a Deep French manicure. Instagram content This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from. The French manicure can be divided into two parts: The base coat, which is typically whatever version of nude polish works best for you; and the 'smile line,' ie the painted white line that falls somewhere between the nail bed and the tip of the nail. In recent years, there have been dozens of variations of the classic style, including the American manicure (where the smile like is less crisp), the Micro French, and the fun French. That brings us back to the manicure of the moment, the Deep French. For Jenner's version, Ganzorigt went with a neutral pink for the base coat and set off the tips with a bright, sharp smile line that starts almost mid-nail. The result is a punchy, fun take on the most universial manicure of all. Have a beauty or wellness trend you're curious about? We want to know! Rachel Recchia Calls Louis Russell 'Selfish' for Spoiling ‘Perfect Match'

It looks like Love Island USA's Huda Mustafa found romance beyond the villa with Too Hot to Handle alum Louis Russell after they hard-launched their relationship on the red carpet. We love to see wait a minute. Hasn't Louis been exploring another connection with Love Is Blind's Sandy Gallagher on the current season of Perfect Match, which released its first six episodes this summer? Yes, yes he has. Allow us to elaborate. The Netflix reality series reportedly started filming over a year ago after it was renewed for its third season in June 2024, so his real-life relationship with Huda is, unfortunately, a major spoiler. Because of it, we know Louis and Sandy's flirtation will fizzle out at some point—and fellow Perfect Match cast member Rachel Recchia is fully calling him out for it, too. During an interview on Nick Viall's The Viall Files podcast, Rachel shared that she was 'disappointed' when she saw Louis and Huda walk the red carpet of the Weapons movie premiere on July 31. 'It's literally airing—we have what, maybe two weeks? It feels, like, a little selfish,' Rachel said, referring to the remaining episodes' release schedule. 'It affects the whole cast.' She clarified that while it's frustrating, there's no bad blood between her and Louis, adding, 'I love him as a person. I think he's amazing. I get along with him so well. He's such great TV.' She continued, 'I mean, Sandy and him have such a good connection on the show. Now people are kinda seeing things like, 'Oh, what's going on now?'' The Bachelor Nation alum also said that 'everything that's happening now is crazy' in the aftermath of Louis going public with Huda and his alleged falling out with Love Island: Beyond the Villa star, Miguel Harichi. ICYMI, Miguel's girlfriend, Leah Kateb, and her PPG besties Serena Page and JaNa Craig, all unfollowed Louis on social media after he stepped out on the red carpet with Huda. Love Island USA devotees thought this was Huda shade, but Leah later clarified that it had nothing to do with the season 7 fan favorite and more to do with Louis. Then, Miguel cleared the air with a series of Instagram Stories, in which he wrote, 'Leah and the girls didn't unfollow Louis because he was dating Huda, they did it because as women the reasoning behind why he was dating her didn't sit right with them.' He added, 'Whether or not they are truly falling for each other at this point I couldn't care less. I wish them nothing but peace, but my road is my own and I would prefer if my name and my girl's name no longer crossed into their world.' Oh, and if you're wondering how Rachel is feeling about her ill-fated reunion with Clayton Echard on Perfect Match? As she told Nick: 'I think he came on the show because he did want that redemption and I'm the easiest path to it... He said we're both better versions of ourselves. I definitely am.'
