'Italy's Madeleine McCann' breakthrough over woman missing for 30 years
The missing girl vanished in August 1996 during a family picnic in Naples, Italy, and now nearly three decades later a judge has called for a Turkish lead to be pursued.
A woman's DNA is to be tested to see if she is a missing girl who was kidnapped nearly 30 years ago during a family picnic, a judge has ruled.
In August 1996, Catello Celentano was on holiday with his family in Naples when his daughter Angela, three, ran over to him to complain about friends not letting her use a hammock. It turned out to be the last time he ever saw her as after turning away momentarily while he got up, she had disappeared, reports the Mirror.
Her devastated family have waited patiently for any clue that would show little Angela was still alive after all this time in a case which has been compared to Madeleine McCann's disappearance.
They clung to any hope they could, and it was more than a decade after she went missing that they got another shred of hope. An Italian woman Vincenza Trentinella, told police that Angela is living with a man who she believes is her father on the island of Buyukada, near Istanbul, Turkey.
She claimed the information was given to her by a dying priest, who allegedly said it was revealed to him during a confession. Ms Trentinella claimed she had travelled to Turkey and met with Angela, as well as her alleged abductor.

Italian police are now re-examining the case in co-operation with authorities in Turkey. The initial investigation had stalled after Turkish authorities chose to not look any further after they had reportedly been given a fake number of the man, Fahfi Bey, who was a self-styled vet.
Judge Federica Colucci has now ordered a new investigation to look into this Turkish lead with the photos of the girl, provided by Ms Trentinella, showing a strong resemblance to Angela.
Witnesses in Turkey are to be spoken with and an attempt will be made to identify the woman who could be Angela. Naples Prosecutor's Office had called for the case to be closed but Judge Colucci has given the go-ahead for a DNA test to be done on the woman when identified.
Ms Trentinella on the possibility the woman could be Angela now told Corriere del Mezzogiorno: "When I met her I saw a very strong resemblance to her mother and her sister. But the DNA will dispel any doubts."
Angela's parents have received numerous anonymous reports of sightings over the years, taking them to places as far flung as Mexico, South Africa, and Venezuela, and many DNA tests have been made but have not provided a match.
Her father previously said: "Until I am certain that my daughter is dead, until I have a body to cry on, I will continue to look for her alive. Even if I have to go to the end of the world."

'Family man' taxi driver dies agonising death after robbers make him drink acid
Tiago Augusto Nicolau had left his mum's house to get his car washed but was attacked by two armed thugs. A dad with a "huge heart" tragically died after he was forced to ingest acid as he was brutally tortured during a robbery. Tiago Augusto Nicolau, 30, popped out of his house to wash his car at his mother's but never returned. One day later, a local worker spotted him fighting for his life in the middle of the road. The married cabbie, from Brazil, was found with serious injuries to his mouth and tongue. Firefighters raced to the scene and rushed him to hospital in Leme, north-west of São Paulo, where he was admitted to ICU, reports the Mirror. Before he died in hospital on June 18, Tiago was set to describe what had happened to him. At around 2pm, two armed thugs had forced him to stop his car and had taken him to a remote spot. There, he was assaulted and forced to drink a corrosive substance, before the crooks left with his Renault Sandero and his mobile phone. Tests confirmed Tiago had been forced to ingest an acid, but the exact substance has not been revealed Medics at the hospital discovered he had also sustained severe injuries to his larynx and oesophagus. The case was originally registered as robbery but is now being investigated as robbery-homicide, following Tiago's death. Cops are still working to identify the suspects. Tiago's loved ones describe him as a family man who was dedicated to his wife and young daughter, Sofia. Tiago had been working as a rideshare driver after vision problems forced him to give up his previous job in the Brazilian Air Force. He was laid to rest in Leme on Friday, June 20. His friend Luana Sampaio said: 'Titi, you weren't just my best friend, you were my brother. A guy with a huge heart, full of plans, with a love that overflowed for Sofia, for whom you lived and dreamed every day.'

Three young men rushed to hospital after stabbing near mosque
The incident happened near a local mosque but police have denied any religious motivation. Three young men have been rushed to hospital following a stabbing near a mosque. Cops are investigating the horror incident, which happened on Station Parade outside Willesden Green Underground Station in Willesden, northwest London, but no one has been arrested. The nature and severity of the injuries are not yet clear, but police and paramedics descended on the suburban street quickly last night, reports the Mirror. It happened near the Central Masjid of Brent. However, police have ruled out any direct connection to the mosque or any religious motivation behind the incident. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Two 21-year-old men and a 20-year-old man were taken to hospital with stab injuries. We await an update on their condition." A 20-year-old woman who reported breathing difficulties declined medical treatment at the scene, the force added. Although no arrests have yet been made, the spokesperson continued: "There are no concerns about any impact to the wider community." Reports on social media initially suggested a corrosive substance had been thrown at people on Station Parade at around 9.00pm, but cops have clarified this was not the case. Officers were alerted to multiple reports of a stabbing on the street, which runs adjacent to the London Underground station that serves the Jubilee Line. The street connects the area with residential communities near Gladstone Park. Station Parade meets Walm Lane at the other end, by the station, which is where the commotion reportedly first started. A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.02pm today to reports of a stabbing on Walm Lane, NW2. We treated four people in total – two were taken to major trauma centres, one to another local hospital, and one declined further treatment." Specialist CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) responders were deployed but were later stood down after it was confirmed not to be a chemical incident.
