Andor: What Does Ghor Sound Like to Actual French People?
Last week's arc on Andor had introduced audiences to the Ghormans, and nobody was expecting them to actually have their own made-up language in the form of Ghor.
The language was completely fabricated for the series, and was made to sound like a mix of French and German, and while native English speakers thought it just sounded like French—people who actually spoke the language got off guard by it as well.
Based on this thread on Twitter (that I actually started), there were some people nice enough to give their idea as to what Ghor in Andor sounded like to them, being French speakers. One reply said:
When me and my wife heard the first meeting, we both stared at each other and said "these guys are clearly french"

Another reply said, 'I'm French. At the beginning i was thinking it was German but didn t recognise any word and then i thought it was Romanche (Swiss langage… I thought it was Italian too but neither sounds French to me.' Another wrote, ' Why does he talk my language but i can't get a damn thing?'
Probably the simplest description would be that the Ghor language sounded like Simlish to them (i.e., the gibberish used in The Sims games).
What's interesting is that officially, Ghor was made to sound French as to be a tribute to actual French revolutionaries from history. Even the Andor actors themselves were all French-speaking, and they were even said to sometimes speak Ghor even when the cameras weren't rolling.
Fans are expecting a huge massacre for the Ghormans soon, but it looks like Star Wars showrunner Tony Gilroy isn't making this made up race go out without a bang.

Sabrina Carpenter Eyed for Mamma Mia 3?
There has been a Mamma Mia film for each decade since the 2000s, and though some fans thought that this would be the end to the franchise, it looks like a third movie could be in the works—and they have one of the biggest pop-stars being eyed to star. According to Deadline, there have been rumblings of a third Mamma Mia! film in the works, and Sabrina Carpenter is being eyed to star. We don't know who she could be playing, but it's possible that they could be moving forward in the timeline. For context, the first Mamma Mia! had focused on the relationship between a mother (Meryl Streep) and her daughter (Amanda Seyfried) who had to guess which of her mother's former lovers was her father. The sequel had killed off Streep's character, but then the story followed Seyfried's Sophie going into her own journey of motherhood. Seeing that Sophie's baby was a boy, it wouldn't make sense for Carpenter to be playing Sophie's child, but it's possible that Sophie could have several children, and Carpenter could be one of them. Personally, I'm curious just how much of Abba's discography they'll be able to milk, seeing as the second movie already reused a lot of the most popular songs that were already in the first movie. As long as the story is good though, I think a lot of fans would be willing to line up and see the film—plus it doesn't hurt that Carpenter herself could be a major draw. A Mamma Mia! 3 hasn't been officially announced, but they better get to work on it soon while Carpenter is as popular as she is.

Andor Showrunner on Why Recent Marvel Projects Fail
Tony Gilroy has been in the center of the spotlight ever since the finale of Andor , and while everyone wants to know what his takes on Star Wars are, some are curious about what he thinks of Disney's other big franchise—the MCU. In a recent talk with /Film, Gilroy talks about how the first pitches for Andor were actually like Marvel films, to which he says: 'Trying to get the, what do they call it? I can't remember the name of the box. What the f*** is the name of the box in 'The Avengers'? What the f*** are they going for? […] The Tesseract! That's why all those Marvel movies are all — that's why they fail. You're just constantly … if that's all you're doing, then all you're doing is just trying to get the Tesseract.' For some added context, when Andor was first brought to Gilroy, it was more of an adventure of the week series with Cassian and K-2SO. Gilroy then took the concept, gave it his own anti-fascist spin, and was then allowed to make the show that we eventually got. Admittedly, Marvel has been in kind of a rut, and while Thunderbolts* has been doing well on terms of buzz, it isn't exactly doing the same kinds of numbers that Marvel had been used to during its Infinity Saga run. And even when Thunderbolts* did feel unique in terms of story, there was still the McGuffin (Bob) and the team still had to get together to stop/save/posses/control it. Who knows, maybe there's room now for more experimental Marvel projects moving forward, but something wilder with the storytelling; not something like Eternals (sorry Chloe Zhao). The Rally for Star Wars Battlefront III has Begun
May 4 has always been a time to celebrate Star Wars , but maybe because of the hype of Andor , there has been a viral movement to have someone, anyone , make Star Wars Battlefront III . According to Battlefront Updates, ever since May 4, more players have been logging into 2017's Star Wars Battlefront II , and they have peaked at 160,000 concurrent players—which could mean that millions have been playing the game during this recent uptick; and now several fans have been using this momentum to make noise and get a Battlefront 3 made. I was actually covering Battlefront II back when it came out, and knew all about how the game had a poor launch because of EA's monetization system. But following the launch, DICE, and the rest of the development team had been adding some steady expansions to the game, and it eventually grew to be one of the more celebrated Star Wars titles—at least for anyone who played it. Support for Battlefront II eventually ended in 2020 with the Scarif update, but it's considered impressive that a game that hasn't had support in five years still manages to gather this much players. Fans expect the hype to die down eventually by the end of the month, but anyone spamming Battlefront III at any Star Wars related post is hoping that they get enough noise to have Lucasfilm Games consider bringing back Battlefront down the line; and with all the mistakes of the previous games, maybe they'll find out a way to get this one to stay for now.
