Fermanagh shooting suspect (43) dies in hospital
Police said Ian Rutledge, 43, died following the incident in Maguiresbridge. He was the only suspect in the triple murder investigation.

Vanessa Whyte, 45, a vet originally from Co Clare, her son James, 14, and daughter Sara, 13, previously died following the same incident at a property in the Drummeer Road on Wednesday morning.
Two people died at the scene, while a third died in hospital hours later.
A prayer service took place for the Ms Whyte in Barefield, Co Clare on Sunday, following a community vigil in Maguiresbridge last Friday.

A funeral service is expected to take place in Co Clare later this week.

A murder investigation was launched last week.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said last week that all four were members of the same household and all four suffered gunshot wounds.
They said then that a triple murder and attempted suicide was one line of inquiry.

On Saturday, the PSNI issued an appeal for information involving the movements of a vehicle.
They have asked anyone who saw a silver Mercedes saloon car being driven in the Clones Road area of Newtownbutler, or between Maguiresbridge and Newtownbutler, on the evening of Tuesday, July 22nd, to call detectives on 101.
On Monday night, the PSNI said Mr Rutledge had been in hospital in a serious condition and died that evening.
'Detectives have reiterated their appeal for anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward,' the police spokesperson said.

Stoke Newington murder victim named
The victim of a fatal shooting in north London has been named by police. A murder investigation was launched after Erdal Ozmen, 45, was killed in Stoke Newington, the Metropolitan Police said. He was found with gunshot injuries by officers who were called to an address in Dynevor Road on Tuesday at 12.18am. The father-of-one was 'deeply loved by his family' detectives said on Wednesday as they appealed for witnesses to help find his killer. Residents said they woke to the sounds of gunshots. Mr Ozmen was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives say the motive for the murder remains unclear. No arrests have been made. Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams, who is leading the investigation, said: 'We continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward following the fatal shooting of Erdal. 'He was a father-of-one and was deeply loved by his family. 'Today, we are asking the public for assistance. Were you in the Dynevor Road area late on Monday night into early Tuesday morning? Did you see anyone acting out of the ordinary? 'Did you hear anything at all which perhaps seemed unusual – maybe people shouting, or a loud vehicle? 'The smallest piece of information could play a significant role in our investigation.' A post-mortem examination has not yet been carried out. Mr Ozmen's family are being supported by specialist officers. Liza Dodds, 58, a youth worker who lives opposite Dynevor Road, said: 'My husband woke up and said there was gunshots. The instant reaction was 'how do you know?' 'We both got up and had a look. A police officer was doing CPR where the person fell. It seemed like they were going forever.' Another resident said: 'I heard a few gunshots and the first thing I thought was that it was fireworks, because you don't expect it to be a gun. 'I was trying to sleep but then later I heard sirens from the police cars.' One resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said: 'We were out when it happened so we didn't hear or see anything. 'But when we came back at around 1am, the whole area was cordoned off and the police officers told us that it will be a crime scene for a couple of days.' Forensic officers in scrubs and masks were at the scene on Tuesday afternoon, alongside several police officers.

Georgia shooting: soldier injures five at Fort Stewart military base
A US soldier shot and injured five of his colleagues at a military base in Georgia. Sgt Quornelius Radford was identified as the shooter after Fort Stewart was placed under lockdown at about 11am local time. The suspect was apprehended and the lockdown lifted about 40 minutes after police were called to the base. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, officials refused to speculate on a motive. The five soldiers injured in the shooting are expected to survive, according to Brig Gen John Lubas. Radford opened fire at his workplace and was tackled 'immediately and without hesitation' by soldiers who witnessed the shooting, Lubas added. The handgun used in the shooting was not believed to be a military issue but a personal firearm. Radford was part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team based at Fort Stewart and had not previously been deployed to combat. President Trump has been briefed on the shooting. His press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said the White House was monitoring the situation. The five soldiers were treated at the scene and moved to Winn Army Community Hospital. There is 'no active threat to the community', the base said. Brian Kemp, the governor of Georgia, said on social media: 'We are keeping the victims, their families and all those who answer the call to serve in our hearts and prayers.' The FBI said it was aware of the incident and was co-ordinating with the US Army Criminal Investigation Division. The incident remains under investigation.

CHELSEA have been rocked by the disappearance of £30,000 of camera equipment from their training ground. The Blues called Surrey Police after the gear was reported missing from their Cobham HQ. 2 2 It remains unclear whether the hi-tech video equipment has just been mislaid and will come to light once all staff have returned from holiday. But the incident is suspicious enough for the club to have involved the police. Top football clubs like the world champion Blues make extensive use of video footage from training and matches to help players' physical, technical, tactical and mental performance. Chelsea declined to comment about the timing and circumstances of the discovery that the equipment was not where it should be. But if a crime has been committed, it won't be the first in the leafy Surrey suburbs to affect the club. A number of Chelsea players have been the victims of break-ins at their mansions near the club's training base. Raheem Sterling's home was targeted in December 2022 while he was with England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with a group of burglars stealing £300,000 of designer watches. Sterling flew home from the tournament to comfort his family before returning to the Middle East. Albanian Emiliano Krosi was later jailed for more than 11 years for his part in the raid and 32 other burglaries across the South East. Sterling was the fourth Chelsea player to have his home burgled in a relatively short space of time.
