Actor Damian Lewis to narrate new immersive dinosaur experience
In a new immersive experience at the Lightroom venue in King's Cross, London, audiences can expect to see 360 degree projections of dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures brought to life, from ammonites to mosasaurs, and adalatheriums to Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Lewis, known for TV series Homeland, said: 'Dinosaurs are one of those topics that holds timeless appeal for all sorts of audiences — there is such an incredible depth to this project both educationally and as a spectacular story to tell of the greatest creatures ever to walk on our planet.
'I'm so excited to play a part in telling that story and inviting audiences into Prehistoric Planet like never before.
'And doing it at Lightroom, with its amazing immersive space and unparalleled capabilities to transport people back in time and into jungles, deserts, canyons or oceans, is such a brilliant opportunity.
'Where else are you going to get to sidle up next to a life-size, living T.Rex in its natural habitat?'
The experience will allow viewers to view the dinosaurs at an 'awe-inspiring scale' and travel alongside them through volcanoes, soaring skies and deep seas.
Lightroom chief executive Richard Slaney said: 'We're absolutely thrilled to have the incredible Damian Lewis join Prehistoric Planet: Discovering Dinosaurs.
'His voice is recognised the world over with its magnetic presence — full of drama, nuance and emotional connection — which is exactly what this story needs.
'With Damian guiding the experience, audiences are sure to feel fully transported as they embark on an epic adventure to a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth…'
Prehistoric Planet: Discovering Dinosaurs, a new immersive experience by Lightroom in collaboration with Apple TV+, narrated by Damian Lewis, opens on July 9.

Experts on Guthrie say the singer — a lifelong socialist who wrote songs about topics like immigrant farmworkers and decorated his guitar with the slogan, 'This machine kills fascists' — was not intending to write an anthem for an agency carrying out mass deportations. Instead, Guthrie biographer Will Kaufman told CNN, the song reflects Guthrie's preoccupation with the inequality, poverty, and violence that took place during the 1930s in America in the wake of the Depression. 'Woody is writing about a different America,' he said. 'He's writing about cops and vigilantes and barbed wire and bread lines.' 'Boy, did the DHS ever get it wrong!' the Guthrie family added in an email to the outlet. 'So now, it looks like we'll all have to sing 'This Land Is Your Land' right back at 'em, so they can re-learn it and get it right.' Though the song has gone on to be considered a generic pro-U.S.A. anthem, it was originally written in part out of Guthrie's annoyance with another patriotic tune, 'God Bless America.' The original versions of 'This Land Is Your Land' also feature lesser-remembered verses about people who 'stood hungry,' as well as a line that called out a sign bearing the words 'private property' or ' no trespassing,' depending on which iteration was being sung. Later in life, Guthrie wrote a song calling out Donald Trump's father, Fred Trump, for 'racial hate,' over the real estate developer's alleged history of racial discrimination towards potential tenants. The concern over DHS's use of Guthrie's music mirrors the response from artists and their families who have seen their paintings used in DHS social media efforts. As The Independent has reported, the agency has used nostalgic images of the Western frontier and small-town, midcentury America in between touting its military-style immigration raids, a combination one observer said was 'classic fascist propaganda.' The agency has also faced backlash for using memes like the Jet2 Holiday sound and AI-images to promote its deportation campaign.

Outlander favourite lands huge new role in highly-anticipated romance series
One of Outlander's biggest stars has been cast in a hotly-anticipated romance series alongside actors from The Bear and The White Lotus. Tobias Menzies, who is best known for portraying Jonathan 'Black Jack' Randall in the Starz show Outlander, has joined the cast of a star-studded new series. Menzies, also famed for playing Prince Philip in Netflix's The Crown, is set to star in upcoming Apple TV+ show Prodigies, which will also star The Bear's Ayo Edebiri and The White Lotus star Will Sharpe. Created by Sharpe, the series follows two ex-child prodigies in their early 30s, who are starting to question whether their very ordinary existence is living up to the exceptional potential they once showed in childhood. The ensemble also includes your Honor's Andrene Ward-Hammond, Loki actress Sophia Di Martino, Nabhaan Rizwan from Netflix 's Kaos, Roar star Meera Syal and The Franchise's Lolly Adefope. Fans of Netflix's Black Doves will also be thrilled to know that Prodigies comes from the same series producer, Sister. Meanwhile, Sharpe and Edebiri serve as Executive Producers alongside Jane Featherstone, Naomi de Pear and Katie Carpenter.
