The film, a moving ode to human-animal bonding, shone a spotlight on the Theppakadu Elephant Camp in Tamil Nadu, where caretakers known as mahouts and cavadys become lifelong companions to the elephants they tend. That tale, however, didn't end when the credits rolled.

In the dappled sunlight of the Nilgiris, life continues, quieter but no less meaningful. And now, a new chapter unfolds. A reunion is captured in a photograph that needs no caption.Supriya Sahu offers sugarcane to Raghu, who gently accepts it, his eyes mirroring the innocence of trust hard-earned. Bommi, ever calm, stands close, watchful, serene, and safe.A CAMP WHERE WOUNDS HEALadvertisementAt the heart of this reunion is the Theppakadu Elephant Camp, nestled within the Mudumalai National Park. It remains a sanctuary not just for Raghu and Bommi, but for dozens of elephants who arrive bearing wounds, some inflicted by the wild, others by humans. Here, amid ancient trees and flowing rivers, those wounds are tended with patience and care.Caretakers, many of whom have spent lifetimes working in tandem with these gentle giants, offer more than food and shelter; they offer continuity, companionship, and a future. COEXISTENCE IN THE WILDTamil Nadu's story of compassionate conservation isn't a solitary one. Over in Assam's Golaghat district, local communities have quietly become champions of coexistence, opening corridors, reducing conflict, and learning to walk alongside the elephants who share their land. It's a model for human-wildlife harmony that India, and the world, can learn from.Yet not every chapter is hopeful. In one viral video shared by IAS Sahu earlier, an elephant is seen chewing on discarded plastic, a moment of heartbreak that starkly reflects our ecological apathy.Such scenes jar us into remembering that we are not just stewards of the wild, we are, far too often, its greatest threat. These realities, both tender and tragic, form the complete portrait of elephant conservation in India, where moments of joy exist alongside calls for urgent reflection.advertisementWhat remains unshaken is the silent, soulful dialogue between humans and elephants, a bond formed not through power but through empathy. It is a relationship that endures through droughts and downpours, fame and forgetfulness, pain and healing. As Supriya Sahu's visit reminds us, caring for elephants isn't a seasonal duty, it is a sacred trust.Let Raghu and Bommi's journey be more than a film. Let it be a living story. Let it call us to action, to awareness, to awe. Let us listen—truly listen, to the whispers of the wild.Must Watch

Brad Pitt's Mom Jane Dies At 84; Family Says 'We Were Not Ready For You To Go Yet'
Jane Pitt, a retired school counselor, raised Brad and his siblings - Doug and Julie - in Springfield, Missouri, alongside their father. Brad Pitt is grieving the loss of his beloved mother, Jane Pitt, who passed away at the age of 84. Jane, a retired school counselor, raised Brad and his siblings – Doug and Julie – in Springfield, Missouri, alongside their father, William Pitt, a former trucking company owner. Though the family kept a low profile, Jane occasionally stepped into the public eye to support her Oscar-winning son, attending red carpets including the 2012 Oscars and the 2014 premiere of Unbroken, directed by then-daughter-in-law Angelina Jolie. On Wednesday, August 6, Brad's niece Sydney — Doug's daughter — shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. Calling Jane 'the biggest heart," she wrote, 'My sweet Grammy, we were not ready for you to go yet but knowing you are finally free to sing, dance, and paint again makes it a tad easier." Sydney added, 'She could keep up with all 14 of us grandkids without missing a beat. There was no limit to the love she gave, and everyone who met her felt it. I don't know how we move forward without her." Jane Pitt was not only a dedicated mother and grandmother but also a passionate supporter of children's health. In 2009, Brad and his siblings donated $1 million to open the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center in Missouri. The facility brought the region its first pediatric oncologist and hematologist, demonstrating the family's commitment to meaningful change. Even as recently as June 2025, Brad Pitt paid tribute to his mom during a press interview for his film F1. Speaking to Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie, he smiled and said, 'I gotta say hi to my mom because she watches you every morning. To Jane Pitt. Love you, Mom," before blowing a kiss on camera. Jane's deep impact on her children's lives was evident in a 2018 video for WorldServe International. 'I'm very proud of all my children," she said. 'They see a need and try to step in and fill it… It's an amazing thing." Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Elon Musk's Grok-AI Garners Criticism, Auto-Generating Taylor Swift's Explicit Deep Fakes
Grok AI accused of creating Taylor Swift's explicit deepfakes: Image via X The AI chatbot Grok is again in the headlines, and for all the wrong reasons. Technology is freaking good unless and until it messes up with someone's privacy. On top, if that someone is none other than the $800 million pop singer Taylor Swift , the water seems to be even deeper for Elon Musk 's xAI. Grok recently explored the power to create spicy NSFW content. The new spicy mode makes it a cakewalk for unauthorized entities to grab the mouse and satisfy their quirk by producing some of the most realistic explicit photos. However, the scariest part is that the new tool doesn't even always require user instructions. Grok's latest feature accidentally violates Taylor Swift's privacy The Verge revealed that Taylor Swift stands at the vulnerable end of the new AI features. Reporter Jess Weatherbed asked Grok's spicy video editor to depict 'Taylor Swift celebrating Coachella with the boys.' But what he got instead was enough to leave the Grammy-winning singer sleepless. The feature flawlessly generated 30 images of Swift in revealing clothes. That's not it. The spicy mode automatically produced a video of the singer taking off her dress and dancing sensually in front of a fake, robotic crowd. When it doesn't even do it with a prior nudity request, the leadership should address the internal glitch before it causes further outrage on the social media walls. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Bespoke 3,3.5 & 4 BHK Homes: ₹2.30Cr*+ at Singasandra, Bengaluru Mahindra NewHaven Get Quote Undo Their content filter is clearly malfunctioning, but when someone's privacy is involved, it can be flagged as a major issue in Mask's business. However, this is not the first time the platform came across such an 18+ botch. Taylor Swift is not foreign to getting shoved on the wrong side of technology Last year, Taylor Swift's explicit deep fakes went viral on X, and nobody knew how. Fans went berserk, questioning the flawed safety. After a huge backlash, the X-safety team assured of looking into the matter with urgency and never letting it happen twice. ''Posting Non-Consensual Nudity (NCN) images is strictly prohibited on X, and we have a zero-tolerance policy towards such content,' officials stated with a promise to take down all the other offensive posts as well. Now, given that they are again at gunpoint, people are not wrong to demand stronger background checks of their tools and techs. Elon Musk has claimed that Grok Imagine's usage is rapidly growing like wildfire. He added that 14 million images had already been generated on August 4, and by August 5, this number skyrocketed to 20million. The stat undoubtedly denoted the success of installing the new approach, but unless and until the safety remarks are ensured, everything else will remain a gold brick.
