Gary Lineker's The Rest Is Football podcast moves to DAZN following his BBC exit
The partnership will see the hugely popular The Rest Is Football, which is fronted by Lineker alongside Alan Shearer and Micah Richards, include footage of the Club World Cup in the video version of the show.
The deal with DAZN, which has rights for this summer's revamped FIFA tournament in the United States, comes after the podcast was removed from the BBC's audio streaming service last week following Lineker's exit from the corporation.
The 64-year-old left his presenting role early following a social media row after he shared a post about Zionism which featured a depiction of a rat, historically an antisemitic insult.
Lineker, who issued an unreserved apology, will no longer front the BBC's coverage of the 2026 World Cup or the FA Cup next season, with his final appearance on Match of the Day airing on May 25.

Sculpture With Colour (Oval Form) Pale Blue And Red, created in the 1940s, was auctioned by Christie's in March last year for millions of pounds. Toward the end of 2024, the sculpture was given a temporary export bar to prevent it from leaving the UK, allowing time for a UK gallery to acquire it. The Hepworth Wakefield art museum and national charity Art Fund have launched an appeal to acquire it, with the aim of permanently and publicly displaying the sculpture in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, where artist Dame Barbara was born. Artists and creatives including Jonathan Anderson, Richard Deacon, Katy Hessel, Sir Anish Kapoor, Veronica Ryan, Joanna Scanlan and Dame Rachel Whiteread have backed the appeal. Sir Antony, 74, said: "Barbara Hepworth's work remains a luminary example of both an engagement with modernism and a return to direct carving. Sculptor Sir Anish, 71, who won the Turner Prize in 1991, said: "Barbara Hepworth's Sculpture with Colour (Oval Form) Pale Blue and Red must be saved for the nation. "Art fund has put up a quarter of the value of this important sculpture in an extraordinary bid to keep this work in a public collection and accessible to all. "This sculpture comes from a period of work by Hepworth in which she explores form and emptiness and looks forward to radical modernity." Simon Wallis, director, The Hepworth Wakefield, added: "We established The Hepworth Wakefield 14 years ago to celebrate, explore and build on Barbara Hepworth's legacy. "This sculpture is the missing piece, a masterpiece which deserves to be on display in the town where Hepworth was born." The art work is made of painted wood and string and is part of a larger series in Dame Barbara's oeuvre, which she developed throughout the Second World War after she settled with her family in St Ives, Cornwall.

South Africa name nine uncapped players in expansive squad
CAPE TOWN, June 5 (Reuters) - Nine uncapped players have been named in an expansive 54-man South Africa squad for the first four of the country's 14 international matches this year. Coach Rassie Erasmus on Thursday retained 31 of the squad that won the 2023 World Cup in a sign of continuity but has also made clear he intended using tests against the Barbarians, Italy and Georgia to try out new prospects. The uncapped players include Northampton Saints eighthman Juarno Augustus and hooker Marnus van der Merwe from Scarlets in Wales plus locally-based prop forwards Neethling Fouche and Asenathi Ntlabakanye, flanks Renzo du Plessis and Vincent Tshituka and utility forward Cobus Wiese, whose brother Jasper is a regular in the squad. The new backs are Sharks centre Ethan Hooker and Ntokozo Makhaza, who has been selected from university rugby without any franchise experience. The squad assembled on Sunday except for players still involved in the closing stages of the United Rugby Championship or English Premiership. 'We are excited to have the luxury of announcing a squad with so much depth and talent,' Erasmus said in a statement. 'Having an expanded squad will not only afford us the opportunity to have productive training sessions, but it will also bode well for the younger players in the group to learn from the senior players, many of whom are Rugby World Cup champions." 'Obviously me and Dan are still young, Conor and Justin are still young, so hopefully we can have a lot of years in the Premier League and that will only benefit Northern Ireland going forward. 'I have no doubt there's other players in the squad that will get themselves into the Premier League as well. Obviously it's us four at the minute and hopefully we can try and push the lads and bring them up to the standard that we're going to set.'
