Riyadh, KSA: Aliph Group ('Aliph'), a leading GCC private equity player announces the appointment of Hanadi Al Ali as Managing Director.
Hanadi brings over 25 years of experience in investments, wealth management, and financial services and will lead Aliph's business development efforts in the Kingdom.
Prior to joining Aliph, Hanadi was Vice President of Placement and Advisory at Malaz Capital, a Riyadh-headquartered independent investment management company. Earlier in her career, she held roles at international asset manager, Arcapita, and at financial services company Al Rajhi Capital.
Aliph has previously welcomed investments from leading KSA asset managers such as Jada Fund of Funds (a PIF company) and Saudi Venture Capital.
Hanadi's arrival, and the opening of the Group's affiliate office in Riyadh, reiterates Aliph's commitment to the Kingdom, driving growth by investing in businesses and generating value through active management.

Hanadi's appointment follows a period of growth and operational expansion for Aliph. Aliph appointed private capital veteran Gaurav Wadhwa as Managing Director in late-2024, and closed a 25% acquisition of GCC lifestyle product supplier, SANIPEX GROUP, in November 2024.

Following overwhelming investor interest, the round was oversubscribed beyond the originally targeted $50 million to support global growth, product expansion, and the integration of newly acquired businesses in the United Kingdom. With over 10 million meals delivered last year, Calo is the world's fastest growing meal subscription service, recording a high-growth nine-figure annualised revenue ($ million). Calo recently completed the acquisition of two leading UK-based meal subscription brands, Fresh Fitness Food and Detox Kitchen, marking a strategic entry into the European market. Both brands have now been integrated into Calo's operations and technology infrastructure, as part of the company's plan to scale internationally. Riyadh – Arabian Drilling has signed an agreement with a GCC-based company, marking its first offshore operation outside Saudi Arabia, according to a press release. The Saudi firm aims to expand its operations beyond its domestic market with a landmark geographical venture in line with its long-term strategy. Meanwhile, the operations are set to begin in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026 and will have an accretive impact on the backlog of SAR 75 million. The initial allocation of SAR 75 million is designated for the preliminary drilling of exploration wells within a period of five to seven months. This venture is expected to meet the challenges and capture the opportunities of the global market. Ghassan Mirdad, CEO of Arabian Drilling, commented: "Signing this contract signifies a strategic milestone for Arabian Drilling as it marks our first major step in expanding our operational footprint internationally.' Riyadh – The net profits of City Cement Company increased by 26.73% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 87.92 million in the first half (H1) of 2025 from SAR 69.37 million, according to the financial results. Revenues amounted to SAR 288.75 million as of 30 June 2025, up 24.94% from SAR 231.10 million in H1-24. The earnings per share (EPS) surged to SAR 0.63 in H1-25 from SAR 0.50 a year earlier. Income Results for Q2-25 In the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, the Saudi company recorded net profits valued at SAR 36.38 million, marking an annual growth of 30.94% from SAR 27.78 million. The revenues hiked by 25.34% to SAR 139.49 million in Q2-25 from SAR 111.28 million in Q2-24. Quarterly, the Q2-25 profits retreated by 29.41% from SAR 51.53 million in January-March 2025, while revenues declined by 6.54% from SAR 149.26 million. Dividends for H1-25 City Cement unveiled cash dividends valued at SAR 91 million or SAR 0.65 per share for 140 million eligible shares.
