Titanique tickets: What you need to know about this hilarious musical parody in the West End and how to find tickets

Telegraph23-04-2025

In 1997 James Cameron's epic film Titanic dramatised the infamous sinking of the titular vessel, with the added grand tragedy of a star-crossed romance between upper-class passenger Rose (Kate Winslet) and steerage boy Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio). The movie also benefitted from a stirring love song: My Heart Will Go On, sung by Canadian artist Céline Dion.
All of those elements play into the fabulously funny musical parody Titanique, a cult-hit American show which has become a West End sensation. The madcap story sees Dion gate-crashing a guided tour of the Titanic museum and retelling the tale of the ship's sinking from her (imagined) perspective.
Cue a hilarious mash-up of iconic Titanic characters and lines with delightfully camp, very naughty modern gags, surreal flights of fancy (the deadly iceberg is reborn as legendary diva Tina Turner), and belting tunes from Dion's impressive back catalogue, including Taking Chances, To Love You More, and All By Myself.
The West End production won two Olivier Awards: Best Entertainment or Comedy Play, and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Layton Williams. No wonder Titanique tickets are the new must-have: this gloriously silly show will go on and on.

The cast
The original movie catapulted Kate Winslet and Leonard DiCaprio into mega-stardom, and the Titanique cast now gets to enjoy inhabiting these beloved roles – plus that of Céline Dion. Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli, who co-created the show with Tye Blue, originally starred in the Off-Broadway production.
Succeeding them is a talented company of British musical theatre stars. The Olivier-nominated Lauren Drew leads the cast as Dion; her previous credits include Six, Legally Blonde, Heathers, and Kinky Boots. Rob Houchen (Les Misérables, South Pacific) plays Jack, Kat Ronney (Hex, Hamlet) is Rose, Jordan Luke Gage (& Juliet, Bonnie & Clyde) is Cal, and the Olivier-winning Layton Williams (Cabaret, Strictly Come Dancing finalist) is the iceberg. In fact, the tight-knit ensemble plays multiple roles in this enjoyably fast-paced romp.

FAQs
Who plays Celine Dion in Titanique?
The fabulous Canadian diva, who is famous for mighty power ballads such as Titanic 's anthem My Heart Will Go On, is a juicy role for an actress. In the West End cast of Titanique, Lauren Drew does full justice to Dion's combination of quirky persona and lung-busting voice.
