Oscar Mayer will be heating things up at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a new Carb Day tradition: The Wienie 500.
The famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles will race at the IMS for the very first time to see who is really the top dog.
Here's what to know and how to catch the race.
The inaugural Wienie 500 will be a showdown between six different Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles representing different regions of the U.S. based on local styles of hotdog.
According to a press release from Oscar Mayer, The Wienie 500 lineup will be:
Oscar Mayer is trading the highway for the speedway this Carb Day (Fri. May 23) with the inaugural 'Wienie 500' — a first-of-its-kind showdown where all six Wienermobiles will make their racing debut at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
If you're not planning on being at the track on Carb Day, no worries. You can still tune in to watch the Wienermobile race at home.
The Wienie 500 will be streaming live on Friday, May 23 at 2 p.m. via the FOX Sports app, or tune into the FOX Sports Indy 500 pre-show on Sunday to see highlights from the race.

Lee Kang-in scored in the 85th for PSG and fellow substitute Gonçalo Ramos grabbed an equalizer in the fourth minute of stoppage time to make it 2-2 in regulation. Nuno Mendes converted the clinching penalty in the shootout for PSG. The Super Cup is an annual early-season match between the most recent winners of the Champions League (PSG) and Europa League (Tottenham), and it was hardly going to script when the English club took a 2-0 lead early in the second half. National Football League Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Reveals Cancer Diagnosis, Credits Experimental Drug Published Aug. 13, 2025 5:53 p.m. ET share facebook x reddit link Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones credited an experimental trial drug for successfully treating advanced melanoma as he disclosed his cancer diagnosis publicly for the first time. Jones revealed his illness in a documentary, "America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys," which will debut on Netflix next week. The 82-year-old Jones then told The Dallas Morning News how he was initially diagnosed in June 2010 and underwent two surgeries on his lung and two on his lymph nodes over the next 10 years after skin cancer cells metastasized to other parts of his body. "I was saved by a fabulous treatment and great doctors and a real miracle (drug) called PD-1 (therapy)," Jones said. "I went into trials for that PD-1, and it has been one of the great medicines. I now have no tumors." First-year Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer described Jones' fight with cancer as an "amazing story" and praised him for going public. "I'm glad that Jerry shared it, just because I think it gives people hope," Schottenheimer said Wednesday. "It gives people the strength to say, 'OK,' you know, 'Hey, you can beat this.'" ADVERTISEMENT Schottenheimer, 51, used his last news conference of the Cowboys' nearly monthlong stay in Southern California to talk about his own cancer diagnosis. He underwent surgery in 2003 for thyroid cancer at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Then-Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder helped arrange Schottenheimer's treatment two years after firing his father, Marty Schottenheimer, as head coach. Brian Schottenheimer was Washington's quarterbacks coach during the 2001 season, the same year Snyder himself was treated for thyroid cancer. "It doesn't discriminate against anybody," Schottenheimer said. "And mine was certainly less serious, but I was 28 when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. College Football David Booth's $300 Million Gift to Kansas: How it Will Transform Stadium, More Published Aug. 13, 2025 11:49 a.m. ET share facebook x reddit link Kansas has received a $300 million gift from donor David Booth, the largest in school history and believed to be among the richest in the history of college sports. Booth, a graduate of Lawrence High School and KU, already has his name on the football stadium. Kansas was expected to allocate $75 million toward the next phase of the renovation of the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and additional construction of the surrounding area, called the Gateway District. Kansas athletic director Travis Goff said the remainder of the gift was expected to generate a stream of income for the athletic department that could last for generations. "There is no more generous and impactful Jayhawk, and we are so fortunate to call him a friend and mentor," Goff said. The Gateway District's next phase was expected to add a hotel, additional retail and restaurant spaces, student housing, improved parking and an outdoor event plaza. Booth is founder of global investment firm Dimensional Fund Advisors, which managed $853 billion in assets as of June 30. The longtime benefactor made a $50 million pledge in 2017 to help with the overhaul of the football stadium, which at the time was the largest donation in KU history. He has given several other financial gifts to the university, including $4.3 million to buy and donate James Naismith's original rules of basketball. "KU and Lawrence are a big part of my story, and it means a lot to support the community that invested in me," Booth said. "Philanthropy, like investing, pays dividends over time." The Kansas football team played six games last season in the Kansas City area while the stadium underwent renovations.
