We're Jumping In At The Deep End With The Stunning TUDOR Black Bay 54 'Lagoon Blue'
A watch can do more than tell time, it can shift your mindset. With a perfectly proportioned 37mm case and a 'Lagoon Blue' dial plucked straight from paradise, this is the ideal complement to seasons full of sunsets, sand, and slowing down.
But it's not only the case size that casts a spell on those who wear the newest Black Bay 54 iteration. It's also in the magical combination of the sand-textured dial and mirror-polished bezel, not to mention the five-link bracelet that wraps perfectly around your wrist and feels like laying down in a well-worn hammock laced up between two palm trees right where the water meets the sand.
This is the watch that perfectly captures those dreamy vibes of summertime – forever.
The Black Bay 54 is fitted with an entirely satin-brushed 5-link steel bracelet, complete with the TUDOR 'T-fit' clasp equipped with a system for rapid length adjustment. Easy to use, requiring no tools and offering five positions, this practical system allows wearers to carry out a fine, instant adjustment of the total length of the bracelet along an adjustment window of 8mm.
The clasp features ceramic ball bearings that ensure a smooth and secure closure in addition to adding a pleasing tactile element to the action of the clasp.
The Manufacture Calibre MT5400, with which the Black Bay 54 is equipped, displays hour, minute and second functions. It has the finish typical of TUDOR Manufacture Calibres: Its rotor in tungsten monobloc is openwork and satin-brushed with sand-blasted details, and its bridges and mainplate have alternate sand-blasted, polished surfaces and laser decorations.
Its build is designed to ensure robustness and precision. To do this, the variable inertia balance wheel is maintained by a sturdy traversing bridge with a two-point anchoring.
This system, together with its non-magnetic silicon hairspring, enables the Manufacture Calibre MT5400 to function within a tolerance range of 6 seconds (-2/+4) tested on a fully assembled watch.
Another notable feature is that the power reserve of the Manufacture Calibre MT5400 is 'weekend-proof'; that is to say, it has a 70-hour power reserve, which enables the wearer to take the watch off on a Friday evening and put it back on again on Monday morning without having to wind it. Even if you need a weekend away, your watch does not.
The Black Bay line features dials inspired by the TUDOR divers' watches produced during the 1950s. It borrows the characteristic angular hands known to collectors as 'Snowflake' from models that appeared in the brand's 1969 catalogue. Its unprotected crown and the characteristics of its case are reminiscent of the first generations of TUDOR divers' watches.
The Black Bay line is the result of the subtle blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary watchmaking. Far from simply being an identical re-release of a classic, it brings together over seventy years of TUDOR dive watches, whilst at the same time being resolutely anchored in the present. It is neo-vintage in conception, yet its manufacturing techniques, reliability, robustness and the quality of its finish are consistent with today's more rigorous requirements.

Coronation Street's Carla and Lisa future 'sealed' after sad proposal twist
Coronation Street's Swarla fans were gutted and disappointed to see Carla Connor's planned proposal to Lisa Swain fail on Friday, but what lies ahead for the couple? There was a "disappointing" twist for some Coronation Street fans on Friday night after hoping Carla Connor's planned proposal to Lisa Swain would be a success. But all it took was a comment about Lisa's late wife Becky and Carla halted it all. While Lisa gave her partner an opportunity to try again, unaware of the plan, having sensed something was up, Carla wasn't feeling it. Clearly disheartened and wanting it to be special, she confided in her nephew Ryan Connor who was on hand to support her. Ryan told her the proposal would happen at some point, and that she would think of something else. It comes as spoilers had hinted Carla would propose in The Rovers this week, leaving fans hopeful an engagement and then a Swarla wedding would finally happen. Unfortunately Carla's plan with the ring in a champagne glass had already been done for Lisa years earlier by Becky. This left Carla horrified, abruptly telling barmaid Glenda to stop the plan. The proposal did not happen, but what is next for the pair and will there be wedding bells? It's something that clearly they both want, and cast members including Lisa actress Vicky Myers and Betsy Swain actress Sydney Martin are also hopeful of. They both told The Mirror earlier this year how they'd love to head to Ibiza for a big Swarla wedding, while for now the couple are still finding their feet. The main thing is they are both ready to commit, having grown stronger than ever after recent dramas. With both having planned proposals now, it also means they both want to get married - and it's just a matter of timing. After recent pictures from filming appeared to show Lisa wearing a ring, fans speculated the proposal will come soon given Lisa is meant to have removed the ring from her marriage to Becky. Whether that is a confirmed engagement or not remains untold, and it's not yet clear when this park scenes will air. As for next week the focus moves away from their relationship and back to drama. That said they remain a united front, amid Lisa digging into what colleague Kit Green is up to and getting a warning from DI Costello, who fans are starting to believe is corrupt. Both Lisa and Carla have been keen to finally figure out what really went on with Becky before her death, so perhaps this is the answers and closure they need to fully move on, and perhaps this will be the marker for their hopefully next and last proposal. So while the storyline focus shifts back to Becky, the police drama, and Carla's chaos at the factory, not forgetting Lisa's bin wars with David Platt, there will be plenty more scenes with this family. The couple will undoubtedly get closer and stronger, and according to Carla's reaction on Friday, Lisa's clear happiness and Ryan's encouraging words, surely there will be a proposal at some point. Playboy is moving its headquarters to Miami Beach and opening a new club
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Playboy plans to relocate its global headquarters from Los Angeles to Miami Beach and open a Playboy club there. The Miami Beach headquarters at the top of a luxury office building will include studios to support Playboy's 'growing creator network' and the club will have a restaurant as well as a members-only section inspired by the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, the company said Thursday in a statement. 'Miami Beach is among the most dynamic and culturally influential cities in the country, making it the ideal home for Playboy's next chapter,' Ben Kohn, CEO of Playboy Inc., said in the statement. The first Playboy Magazine was published in 1953, featuring Marilyn Monroe on the cover and in a 'Sweetheart of the Month' color nude photo inside. The first Playboy Club opened in 1960 in Chicago, which was the headquarters of the company at the time, and the company opened up clubs around the world. In 2020, Playboy ceased publishing its monthly print magazine, sticking instead with online content.

When The Bear Appears: Why You Need To Become An AI Movement Leader Now
Across America, the warning signs are no longer whispers. They're sirens. Automation and AI are poised to wipe out 30 to 50 percent of job roles in the coming years. The bear is out of the woods. And here's the brutal truth: you don't have to outrun the bear. You just have to outrun the other campers. Whether you're a call-center rep in Salt Lake City or a mid-level manager in Minneapolis, your job as it stands today might not exist tomorrow. But that doesn't mean you have to wait for the pink slip. You can become a movement leader for the age of AI. No title or permission required. Step One: Rewire Your Role AI isn't just for engineers. It's in your browser, your inbox, your workflow. Learn it, use it, teach it. Automate part of your job and coach others to do the same. You don't need a boss's blessing to be the one who spreads smart tools. This week, take one repetitive task and hand it off to an AI tool. Then offer to mentor a few coworkers to do the same. Share wins. Step Two: Reinvent It Entirely Once you've chipped away at your task list, zoom out. Ask yourself: If I were designing this job from scratch, with AI as my teammate, what would it look like? Then start sketching that future. Be ruthless. Be visionary. Map your current work activities. Then redesign them with AI integrated at every step. Share this with your manager. If they shrug, share it higher. The bold often find their way to new rooms. Step Three: Don't Go It Alone The biggest gains come when innovators reimagine together. Pull in a few peers you admire for their curiosity from neighboring teams. Show them your role and work redesign. Invite them to co-create the next bigger version of how all your work together could be reimagined. Some may be fearful for engineering themselves out of a job, its now your turn to convince them that their best job defense is to be a proactive and curious innovator. Point out that if you all don't come up with this someone else will and you will then be victims of the change instead of heroes of invention that the company and companies in general can always use in a number of places. And, recognize and state clearly that you are now a team doing this together and the entire team will get the credit for thinking bigger. Commit to having each other's backs! Book a 30-minute session next week with three colleagues. Pick one shared process and rebuild it together. Make it faster and better. Find those in leadership who appreciate such innovation and invite them along to learn with you as you progress. You are now building a brand for being innovators. This is what radical adaptability looks like. It's how people future-proof not just their jobs, but their professional brands and career value. Companies are desperate for internal changemakers, don't make it difficult for the leadership in your organization to find you and your curious proactive peers already rebuilding the future of work from the inside. Why Now AI isn't just coming for the boring stuff. It's targeting strategy, creativity, even leadership. The org charts of tomorrow will be flatter, leaner, and more fluid. Those who survive won't be the ones who did what they were told. They'll be the ones who led the way without being asked. This is your moment. Lace up your sprinting shoes. Reinvent your role so thoroughly that your old job becomes obsolete. Then, take the reins to build what comes next with a group you will enjoy inventing with. Design new roles, new processes, and new ways of creating value that didn't exist before. Be inclusive and generous in order to bring others along. Even if your company doesn't immediately see your value, they will if you get results, and surely another company will love to hear you share your story and put your ingenuity to work. The bear is here. Are you going to freeze? Or sprint?
