Sarah Jessica Parker fans react to tour of Carrie Bradshaw's lavish Gramercy Park home: 'I wish she cared as much about the storyline!'

Fans got an eye-watering, behind-the-scenes tour of Carrie Bradshaw's (Sarah Jessica Parker) lavish, four-story townhouse located near Manhattan's posh Gramercy Park neighborhood in HBO Max's And Just Like That. But the wealthy widow's 1846-era Greek revival-style four-bedroom, three-bathroom property is technically located on a soundstage. Production designer Miguel Lopez Castillo and longtime set decorator Karin Wiesel Holmes gave Architectural Digest an inside look at Carrie's fourth bedroom aka her shoe closet, which is separate from her main closet. Casually hanging on a rolling rack was Bradshaw's repurposed ballet costume that she wore in the 2004 powerful, Sex and the City series finale titled: 'An American Girl in Paris - Part Deux.' Fans will fill with nostalgia recalling how the columnist-turned-author miraculously found her Carrie necklace then got slapped by her Russian boyfriend Alexandr Petrovsky (Mikhail Baryshnikov), and rekindled her on/off romance with Mr. Big (Chris Noth). On a shelf of the large wooden cabinet was Carrie's silver Manolo Blahnik 'D'Orsay' heels. Fans might recall how Bradshaw's peep-toe sandals were stolen from Kyra's (Tatum O'Neal) baby shower, which she balked at replacing, during the classic season six episode titled 'A Woman's Right to Shoes.' Elsewhere was the budding fiction writer's b&w wingtip-style Maison Margiela 'Bourgeoise Spectator Tabi' pumps. Carrie wore those as recent as the season three episode of And Just Like That titled 'Silent Mode' for a Tiffany & Co. event with her friend Charlotte York-Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis). Bradshaw's pricey purchase of the Gramercy Park home large enough to fit her ex-fiancé Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) and his three sons was controversial considering she sold her beloved West Village apartment 'where she spent a better part of her adult life.' On AD's official Instagram account, fans strongly reacted to the 15-minute tour including user @silvanogon who commented: 'This show is horrible now. The only thing saving it is this beautiful home. Thank you!' 'The Gucci envelope clutch is from season five episode where [Carrie] rings the bell at the Stock Exchange!' user @mia_lips sleuthed. 'I can't believe I noticed that. SATC [forever]! It's my comfort show.' User @berzinsky scoffed: 'Not a single sofa in an enormous house. The symbolism is real - she will never share her life and will die alone.' On AD's official YouTube page, 'OG SATC fan' @valleygirl2530 commented that she appreciated 'the resources brought to the production' side, but wrote: 'If only the plot, dialogue, cast and acting were on the same level!' First glimpse of new Harry Potter, the next star of the small screen

Filming has started for the much-anticipated TV adaptation of JK Rowling's Harry Potter series, with HBO sharing a first glimpse of the young wizard. Production began at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, near Watford, where the films were made between 2000 and 2011, concluding with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, which was released in 2011. A picture of Dominic McLaughlin in Harry Potter's signature round glasses and school uniform has been released. McLaughlin is joined by Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. They beat more than 30,000 actors to the roles in a casting call last year. • My advice to the new Harry Potter kids — by a Game of Thrones child star All seven books will be adapted and the series is reported to have a budget that is greater than House of the Dragon's $200 million per series. More than 600 million copies of Harry Potter sold worldwide. Its big screen adaptations were hugely successful, grossing almost $8 billion at the global box office. Other characters in the series have also been announced, including Rory Wilmot as the hapless Neville Longbottom and Amos Kitson as the spoilt Dudley Dursley. Nick Frost, who starred in Shaun of the Dead, will play the bearded giant Rubeus Hagrid, while John Lithgow, the Conclave and The Crown actor, will star as Hogwarts' headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. Janet McTeer, who featured in Tumbleweeds and The White Queen, will play Minerva McGonagall, while Paapa Essiedu, from I May Destroy You and Gangs of London, is Severus Snape. The series, debuting on HBO in 2027, will follow the young Potter as he discovers that he is a wizard and goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was initially expected that each season would cover one of the seven Harry Potter books, but Casey Bloys, the head of HBO, said that the project could run for 'ten consecutive years'. The final novel, Deathly Hallows, was split into two parts for the film adaptation. Potter, Granger and Weasley's return will be available to stream on HBO Max, which is expected to launch in the UK in early 2026. Francesca Gardiner, the British television writer, is the showrunner, while Mark Mylod of Succession is in the director's seat.

First look at Harry Potter in new TV show

The new child star of Harry Potter has been pictured in character for the first time. Dominic McLaughlin, who will portray the titular role in the TV series, looks every part the Hogwarts student in Potter's famous glasses and uniform. The cast, which also includes Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, are filming at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden in Watford, Hertfordshire. The image of McLaughlin, released by HBO on Monday, is the only one to date of any of the actors in costume as they begin to film Harry Potter, which is scheduled for release on HBO and HBO Max in 2027. The network also announced that further casting had taken place, with Rory Wilmot playing Harry's school friend Neville Longbottom and Amos Kitson taking on the role of his cousin Dudley Dursley. Meanwhile, Sherlock actress Louise Brealey is to play Hogwarts Quidditch coach Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Game Of Thrones star Anton Lesser will be wandmaker Garrick Ollivander. The casting of the three main roles (Harry, Hermonie and Ron) followed an open casting call, announced last year, that saw more than 30,000 children audition for the coveted parts. The same roles previously launched Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint to global fame in the early 2000s through the Harry Potter films. Stanton previously starred in the titular role of Matilda: The Musical on the West End from 2023 to 2024, while McLaughlin acted in Grow, the forthcoming Sky comedy. The Harry Potter series marks Stout's breakout role. Each season of the new show will be a faithful adaptation of the books by JK Rowling, who is also serving as an executive producer of the series. Other stars who have previously been announced include award-winning US actor John Lithgow as Hogwarts headmaster Professor Albus Dumbledore, Welsh comedian and actor Paul Whitehouse as Hogwarts caretaker Argus Filch, and Rivals actress Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley.
