$31K donated for NJ brothers killed in crash: ‘True gentlemen'
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – Hundreds of people are stepping in to help a family after two young brothers from New Jersey died in a crash.
Joshua Davis, 22, of East Windsor, and Aaron Davis, 23, of Cranbury, were killed in a crash Friday evening in Philadelphia, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. Their two 18-year-old brothers were seriously injured in the crash and a puppy in the car also died, police said.

Just a few days later, over 400 people have donated $31,176 to help the brothers' family with funeral and memorial arrangements and healthcare for the younger brothers, according to a GoFundMe page.
Loved ones described the brothers as reliable community members who were heavily involved in the church.
'Josh and Aaron were true gentlemen—thoughtful, dependable, and deeply loved by all who knew them,' Lawrence Perry wrote on the GoFundMe. 'They were pursuing their education and entrepreneurial ventures, coming into their own, and beginning to realize the limitless nature of their potential.'
The brothers' deaths have left the family with an 'incomprehensible loss,' loved ones said.
'Their parents raised their sons with deep love, discipline, and unwavering faith,' Perry wrote.

The brothers were traveling northbound on I-95 when their car somehow went past the guardrail and over the edge of the roadway, flipping multiple times before hitting Castor Avenue below, police said.
The 18-year-olds were not wearing seatbelts, police said. Witnesses told police the brothers' car may have been racing with another car before the crash.

GoFundMe for Pierre teen killed in crash raises 5 times goal
Pierre and the surrounding community continue to mourn the loss of a young life.16-year-old Aiden Van Balen was killed in a car crash on June 4th. Aiden had just completed his sophomore year at TF Riggs High School. He loved playing sports and was known for tooling around town on his moped. 'You know he was a buddy to everybody and such a goofball, some of the stories that his buddies talked about you know just, he was just a remarkable young man,' said family friend Brie Korkow. Soon after his death, Korkow started a GoFundMe campaign to ease the financial burdan an unexpected death like Aiden's can leave behind. You know and so to just give his family some financial room to breathe, they don't have to worry about rushing back to work. 'We blew past that, so I'm like I'll up it to ten, blew past that, and now we are well over 25 thousand dollars, so it's just incredible how people come together, and it's such a great platform to be able to support this family,' said Korkow Korkow saiys Aiden's parents have told her they plan to use some of the money to start a scholarship fund in his name. Woman with neck injury found dead in Brooklyn home: NYPD
MIDWOOD, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A woman was found dead during a wellness check at a Brooklyn home Thursday night, police said. Officers conducting the wellness check found the 26-year-old woman with a neck injury inside the house at 1886 New York Ave. in Midwood just before 8:50 p.m., according to the NYPD. More Local News The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner deemed the incident a homicide, police said. The victim has not been identified. There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
