Every celebrity mentioned during Sean ‘Diddy' Combs' sex-trafficking trial — and why

Yahoo15-05-2025

Several celebrities have already been mentioned during Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex-trafficking trial since it started on May 5.
Kanye West, Michael B. Jordan, Kid Cudi and Mike Myers were among the first celebrities spoken of when the trial kicked off in New York City's Manhattan federal court.
While the group wasn't accused of any wrongdoing, they were among the names jurors were warned might be talked about.
Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura also took the stand, naming several celebrities.
She recalled how the music mogul allegedly abused her during their on-again, off-again romance from 2007 to 2018.
Below, read about every celebrity mentioned to date.
West, mentioned during jury selection on May 5, has been in Combs' corner since the latter's September 2024 arrest.
The 'Heartless' rapper, who hasn't been accused of wrongdoing, released a new track, featuring his daughter North West and Combs, titled 'Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine' on March 15.
A few days later, he shared a prerecorded phone conversation with the Bad Boys Records founder via social media.
At the time, Combs warned Kanye to 'be careful' of people trying to 'end' him, and thanked the 'Bound 2' crooner for looking after his seven children.
Myers was also named during jury selection, though he's not accused of anything.
The 'Saturday Night Live' alum's relationship with Combs is unknown.
Michelle Williams was also name-dropped during jury selection.
The Destiny's Child alum wasn't accused of any wrongdoing.
Jordan hasn't been accused of any crimes, but was mentioned during jury selection.
He famously dated Ventura in 2016 during the her break from Combs.
When Ventura took the stand on May 13, she recalled her decade-long romance with Combs.
The 'Me & U' singer alleged the 'Last Night' crooner would have her participate in sex and drug-filled parties called 'Freak-Offs,' starting when she was 22 years old.
When asked how long the parties would last, the hitmaker responded, 'significant periods of time … the longest was four days.'
Ventura claimed that the 'Freak-Offs' left her with 'a lot of stomach issues and gastrointestinal issues from taking drugs.'
Ventura also alleged that Combs would often abuse her by hitting her on the head, knocking her down and stomping on her if she was down.
She alleged her ex would tell her to 'fix [her] face or watch [her] mouth' before 'hitting' her face.
An unedited video of Combs abusing Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Calif., in 2016, was released during the trial.
When Ventura testified, she mentioned she got together with the 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper while he was with the late Kim Porter.
The 'Me & U' singer alleged her sexual relationship with Combs started 'many years' before they took their romance public in 2007.
'He just didn't want it to look bad, but also knew it was because of his children and personal things like his family,' Ventura claimed, per JustJared.
Porter and Combs, who shared three kids, started dating in the '90s and split in 2007.
She died in 2018 from pneumonia.
Drake was named in Ventura's testimony, claiming she was abused by Combs ahead of attending the Canadian rapper's 2013 OVO Festival in Toronto.
Ventura still attended the festival and was seen with French Montana.
She recalled having to style her hair in a particular way to hide an alleged injury.
Ventura returned to testify on May 14 and mentioned Prince.
The 'Is It You' singer recalled how she went to the 'Kiss' singer's private concert in the basement of his Los Angeles home.
She recalled the 'once in a lifetime experience' and claimed she didn't tell Combs she would be attending.
'He would have definitely not let me go,' Ventura said.
Ventura alleged to have seen Combs shortly after arriving.
She claimed to have 'caught a glimpse of him and [she] ran out as fast as [she] could.'
'I knew he was angry at me,' she testified, alleging how he went to the hotel where she was staying and beat her.
Ventura recalled meeting Kid Cudi — born Scott Mescudi — in December 2011.
The 'Official Girl' singer claimed not to have told Combs about her romance with the 'Day 'n' Nite' singer, explaining they weren't in a good place.
Combs, however, allegedly found out about Ventura's fling during a 'Freak-Off' when he went through her phone.
He allegedly retaliated by grabbing a wine bottle opener and threatening her.

Diddy's Ex-Girlfriend Testifies To Participating In 'Sleazy' Freak Offs, Crying During 18-Hour Session

More alleged details of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' personal life are exposed as witnesses testify regarding his romantic relationships and freak offs. On Thursday, (June 5), an ex-girlfriend of Combs, who is identified as 'Jane', testified that during their three-year relationship, a majority of intimate encounters involved other men. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the woman explained that her relationship with the Harlem native began with lush vacations and only the two of them in bed. As their relationship progressed, Jane claimed it started to involve drug use and escorts as Combs initiated the 'freak offs.' She also testified that 90% of their sexual encounters involved other men. 'I just thought that it was a night of fun; I didn't think that we'd be doing it again,' she explained. 'I just wanted to satisfy my partner.' In her testimony, she further detailed how she became trapped in the relationship due to Combs providing for her financially and informed the jury, 'I felt obligated to perform because my partner was paying my rent.' According to Rolling Stone, Jane Doe returned to the stand on Friday and continued to reflect on her account during her time with the 55-year-old. 'It's dark, sleazy, and makes me feel disgusted with myself,' she claimed to have told Combs in 2023 about not wanting to participate in the freak offs. 'I don't want to play this role anymore. I'm so much more than this,' and 'I feel like it's the only reason you have me around and pay for the house.' That same year, she alleged to have agreed to participate in a 'sober' party, despite Combs still using cocaine and ecstasy. During this freak off, Jane Doe claimed that she vomited, however, the Bad Boy Records founder dismissed her health concerns. 'Sean came in and I told him I had just thrown up,' she testified. 'And he was like, 'That's good, you'll feel better. Let's go, the third guy is here.'' TMZ reports that she also testified to crying during two freak offs, the first one being a surprise session when she thought she would have a one-on-one night with Combs. The session, she claims, lasted 18 hours and took place at the Waldorf Hotel in Beverly Hills early in their relationship. The second time she burst into tears was after a 'hotel night' while she was in the shower, high on drugs. Combs is charged with one count of racketeering conspiracy; two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and has pleaded not guilty. Earlier this week, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian warned the Grammy-winner that he could be removed from the courtroom for 'absolutely unacceptable' behavior after allegedly making facial expressions towards the jury. The trial is expected to last all of June and into July. Sean 'Diddy' Combs Used Ex-Girlfriend 'Jane' As A Drug Mule, Last 'Freak-Off' Occurred Just Before Arrest, Sex-Trafficking Trial Hears

Drugs were a big part of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' life and so-called 'freak-offs,' the jury in the Bad Boy Records founder's sex-trafficking trial have repeatedly heard, and this morning the court learned how he used the people in his inner circle to get Ecstasy and more in his hands. They also heard how Combs continued to engage in the drug-fueled sex sessions ever as the law closed in on him last year. 'I just asked her if this was safe and okay,' Combs' ex-girlfriend 'Jane,' a pseudonym, said detailing a conversation with the ex-mini mogul's then top aide Kristina Khorram about her concerns of taking a bag of drugs from LA to Miami. On her second day on the stand, Jane revealed that 'KK' replied, 'it's fine, I do it all the time, just put it in your checked in luggage.' More from Deadline Judge Threatens To Bar Sean 'Diddy' Combs From Courtroom If He Continues To Interact With Jurors Sean 'Diddy' Combs: An Updated Timeline Of Charges, Allegations & Consequences The Rap Mogul Faces George Clooney Previews Saturday's Live Telecast Of 'Good Night, And Good Luck' On CNN: "Some Networks Aren't Really Up For Doing This Right Now"; How To Watch In her sometimes-tear-filled testimony under questioning from the U.S. Attorney's office for the Southern District of New York, 'Jane' spoke of other occasions when she transported Ecstasy across state lines in a plane for Combs. On the subject of drugs, which 'Jane' like previous witness and Combs' ex Cassie Ventura testified as well, said pills, cocaine and more were a primary inducement for the marathon 'freak-off' sex sessions with male escorts. To that, the witness spoke of Combs getting his personal assistants and security details to procure more when his current stash ran out for the often filmed 'freak-offs' Those sex sessions took more and more of a toll on 'Jane,' the witness said Friday, stating how she unsuccessfully begged Combs to have the other men wear condoms, the long days some of the 'freak-off' went, and the fears she had things could get violent with everyone on drugs. On trial in New York City since May 12, the 55-year-old Combs could end up spending the rest of his life in prison if found guilty on federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution and more. From 'Jane' the past two days and before that Ventura's pal Bryana Bongolan, who had told the court Wednesday that Combs had dangled her off a 17th-story balcony in 2016, the panel of eight men and four women in the courtroom has heard explicit and sometimes heartrending testimony about rapes, emotional and physical violence, blackmail, and filmed drug-juiced 'freak-offs' from the 'Me & U' singer, male escorts, and his ex-personal assistant 'Mia.' Like other witnesses in the trial, 'Mia' also spoke of watching the much-accused Combs beat, abuse and manipulate Ventura, as he did to many of the people in his orbit. In a preemptive move from their opening statement, the defense has admitted their client is guilty of domestic violence, has been a heavy drug user, a swinger, and is overall not a very nice person. Yet, in that admission, which also saw attempts to undermine the credibility of accusers like Ventura, and 'Jane,' attorney Teny Geragos made a point over and over of emphasizing that Combs isn't on trial in this criminal case for any of that, and that his relationships, as kinky as things could get, were always with consenting adults. Thursday saw things get even more immediately tense for Combs, as the usually lenient Judge Arun Subramanian threatened to have the sweater wearing and white-haired defendant removed from his own trial if he kept 'nodding vigorously' and interacting with the jury. There was little response from usually verbose lead defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo except a promise to make sure Combs maintained proper courtroom decorum. Combs certainly made a few looks in the jury's way today, but the judge seemed to let it go – for now. Having been involved with Combs since early 2021, self-described online influencer and single mother 'Jane' first told the lower Manhattan courtroom of who sweet and loving Combs was during the early days of their relationship. How he offered to pay for a house for her, and supplement her income now that she was spending so much time with him. However, as Ventura and others have stated, that shifted over time and the accused appeared to employ old school pimp tactics to control and totally dominate the woman. Again, like he did with Ventura and others, as the prosecution clearly intends to convey to the jury, a sometimes semen-smeared Combs used the same M.O. of drugs, blackmail, fear and violence to make a baby oiled up, lingerie and high-heels wearing 'Jane' participate in the 'freak-offs.' 'Jane' told the jury of a September 2023 text she sent to Combs on her anguish over the 'freak-offs' and being forced to have sex with other paid men for Combs' pleasure. 'It's hurting me, she told Combs, 'It's dark, sleazy and makes me feel disgusted with myself.' The text added: 'I don't want to play this role anymore. I'm so much more than this …I feel like it's the only reason you have me around and pay for the house.' 'Girl, stop,' Combs tersely replied. Originally only taking place in upscale hotel suites from May 2021 to October 2023, sometimes with escorts and sometimes with porn stars, the 'freak-offs' or 'hotel nights' came to an end for about three months, 'Jane' said today. The conclusion of the sex sessions came about a month before Ventura filed her very quickly settled ($20 million) abuse and assault suit against her 2007-2018 boyfriend Combs. After that suit, dozens and dozens of other civil suits against Combs followed, as well as raids of his L.A. and Miami homes by the feds and CNN's broadcasting of hotel security footage of the 'All About the Benjamins' performer kicking, berating and beating Ventura as she sought to escape a 2016 L.A. 'freak-off.' On her last day on the stand, the then heavily pregnant Ventura was forced by the defense to admit she is going to receive a $10 million settlement from the owners of the InterContinental. Today, 'Jane' said that the 'freak-offs' picked up again in February 2024, but now they took place at Combs' Florida home. There were a total of five such sessions, 'Jane' noted, with the last one occurring in August 2024, just a few weeks before Combs was arrested in NYC on the charges he is facing in this trial. Set to end before the July 4 holiday, Judge Subramanian promised the jurors, the trial runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET every weekday – except when it goes longer at the judge's discretion.
