Anti-Corruption & Transport ministries discuss irregularities & solutions

A meeting held on Wednesday in Sana'a, attended by Redhwan Mohammed Al-Mutawakel, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Authority, and Mohammed Qaheem, Minister of Transport and Public Works, discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination in combating corruption.
The meeting reviewed a matrix outlining the most prominent irregularities within the ministry and its affiliated agencies, along with preventive measures to address them. The matrix was prepared by the Authority through its Corruption Prevention Department, based on reports, complaints, and case files under review.
The Deputy Chairman of the Authority emphasized the commitment to seriously implementing the preventive measures outlined in the matrix to address irregularities, thereby enhancing corruption prevention within the ministry and its affiliated entities. This aligns with the directives of the leadership, the program of the Government of Change and Construction, and the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.
For his part, the Minister of Transport and Public Works affirmed the ministry's dedication to strengthening anti-corruption efforts and adhering to the measures outlined in the matrix prepared by the Authority, in line with the proposed solutions.
He also highlighted the importance of the outcomes of the ongoing discussions between the two sides and the development of a phased implementation plan.

Gaza – Saba: The Palestinian Al-Ahrar Movement affirmed on Wednesday evening its commitment to "national unity, which we urgently need in the face of this aggression and the war crimes committed against our children , women, amid international silence and full alignment with the Zionist occupation." In response, the movement asserted that "anyone who thinks the resistance in Gaza has ended and will raise the white flag is delusional. Our heroic fighters continue to shackle the Zionist enemy daily through deadly ambushes, unleashing hell with the stones of David, inflicting human and material losses on their soldiers, equipment, and Gideon forces. Resistance operations remain at their peak despite the scorched-earth policy implemented by the Zionist occupation army in Gaza." The statement added: "Once the war ends and the aggression against our people stops, the next day will be purely Palestinian. Through national consensus—and while we recognize that the PLO has been afflicted by senility and Alzheimer's—there is no harm in it assuming Gaza's affairs after restructuring and rebuilding its internal system, integrating all Palestinian factions, and forming an honorable stance aligned with our people's resilience and sacrifices. Without this, no party, regardless of its status, has the right to lead the Palestinian scene." The movement further stated: "We view these calls, at a time when our people's blood is being shed, as a systematic and reprehensible intelligence operation aimed at exploiting the current security situation to benefit the Authority at the expense of our people's suffering. These voices ignore the Authority's complete silence regarding the crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza, as well as documented reports and videos implicating some of its elements in security chaos, internal strife, and collaboration with the occupation. Their stance seems to say: 'When will Gaza be entered, even if on the back of a Zionist-American tank?'" The movement concluded: "Those demanding the Authority's rule over Gaza are either blind in sight and insight or complicit in its security, moral, and national collapse. Its disgraceful model of governance in the West Bank is evident to all, with its security agencies' violations against resistance fighters under the guise of 'sacred security coordination,' as declared by its leaders, and its crimes against our people—suppressing rights and freedoms while playing interchangeable roles with the occupation." Awqaf Authority launches "Ita'am" Project for poor, needy, & frontline defenders
Sana'a - Saba: The General Authority of Awqaf launched on Wednesday the "Ita'am" (Feeding) project by distributing 130 heads of cattle to the poor, needy, and frontline defenders. During the launch ceremony, attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Scholar Mohammed Miftah, the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, praised the efforts and contributions of Awqaf Authority in addressing the needs of the poor, needy, and those defending the nation on the frontlines through humanitarian charity projects that alleviate their suffering and meet some of their needs. He emphasized the righteousness of Yemen's path under divine leadership, which has restored the country's dignity and honor. Minister Al-Saadi also highlighted Yemen's honorable stance in supporting the Palestinian people, a position made possible only by the wise leadership bestowed upon the nation by God. He urged Awqaf Authority to implement more charitable projects, especially under the current circumstances. For his part, the Chairman of the General Authority of Awqaf, Scholar Abdul-Majeed Al-Houthi, stated that the Authority has launched the "Ita'am" project for the fifth consecutive year, distributing sacrificial meat to the poor, needy, orphanages, centers for the blind, and frontline defenders, in line with its responsibility to manage endowment funds according to donors' intentions. He described the support provided to the frontline defenders and families of martyrs as modest compared to their sacrifices, which have shattered the false prestige of America. Al-Houthi noted that the Authority timed this project to coincide with Eid al-Adha, making the occasion one of generosity and giving. Scholar Al-Houthi stressed that a strong connection with God leads to sacrifice and benevolence, affirming that Yemen's absolute submission to God has enabled its people to stand firm in supporting Gaza and confronting the tyrants of the era, despite the immense sacrifices made. He reiterated Yemen's sincere stance, rooted in the fear of God, at a time when Arab and Islamic regimes have failed to aid their Palestinian brethren. "If the Yemeni people could deliver aid to Gaza, they would sacrifice their own provisions for their Palestinian brothers, who face genocide, starvation, and a criminal siege by the Zionist entity—amid shameful silence from Islamic nations and disgraceful inaction by Arab regimes," he said. Civil Aviation Authority condemns Yemen Airways' Aden Branch decision to reject tickets issued in Sana'a
Sana'a - SABA: The General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology has strongly condemned the recent directive issued by the Aden-based management of Yemen Airways, which prohibits accepting tickets issued in the capital, Sana'a, or making any changes or confirmations to such bookings. The directive also threatens legal accountability for any violations. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Authority declared the directive to be in clear violation of civil aviation laws and a blatant infringement on the rights of Yemeni citizens. The statement emphasized that those most affected by this decision are patients stranded abroad who are already facing dire economic and living conditions, making it difficult for them to purchase new tickets. It further asserted that internal administrative disputes within the airline should not be resolved at the expense of ordinary citizens, especially considering that Yemen Airways is the only national carrier and is collectively owned by the Yemeni people. The Authority called on the airline's management in Aden to uphold its national and legal responsibilities and not to become a tool for enacting retaliatory policies that harm the interests and dignity of Yemenis. The Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority urged the Aden branch of Yemen Airways to immediately rescind this directive unconditionally and to separate public service from internal conflicts.
