Karan Aujla Unveils New Album P-Pop Culture, First Single ‘MF Gabhru' Drops August 1

And in classic Aujla style, the reveal was anything but ordinary. A life-size custom statue of his own face, a bold chain bearing the words P-Pop Culture, and his signature ring accessory made it clear—this wasn't just an album drop, it was the launch of a movement. 'Punjabi Pop Culture runs through the blood," he told the audience, taking a moment to reflect on his roots in Ghurala, Punjab—the village where he first learned to write, and where the dream of global stardom was born.
The first taste of this bold new era arrives with 'MF Gabhru!", the lead single from P-Pop Culture, which drops August 1. Teased online and already being hailed as a 'banger" by fans, the track promises to blend Karan's signature swagger with rich Punjabi textures and modern production flair.
With P-Pop Culture, Aujla aims to redefine Punjabi music's global footprint, fusing traditional storytelling with chart-topping appeal. The album is expected to push genre boundaries while celebrating cultural identity—unapologetically, flamboyantly, and with Aujla's trademark lyrical fire.
Karan Aujla is one of the most influential voices in contemporary Punjabi music. A singer, songwriter, and rapper, he's known for penning hard-hitting lyrics, infectious hooks, and songs that dominate both charts and clubs. Born and raised in Ghurala, Punjab, Aujla moved to Canada as a teenager, where he quickly made a name for himself in the diaspora music scene.
Often referred to as the 'Voice of the Youth," Aujla's breakout hits like Don't Look, Hint, Chitta Kurta, Gangsta, and Softly have garnered millions of streams globally. His debut album BacTHafu ranked high on Billboard charts and set the tone for a new era in Punjabi pop music.
Aujla's lyrical themes span love, pride, power, and personal struggle, often rooted in Punjabi identity but polished with a global sound. His ability to balance raw storytelling with commercial swagger has made him a household name across continents—and now, with P-Pop Culture, he's setting the stage for Punjabi music's next big chapter.

Fantastic Four's Vanessa Kirby Says She's A Sue Storm 'Nerd', Wants To Explore Malice
Vanessa is particularly keen to explore Sue's Malice incarnation. Vanessa Kirby is a Sue Storm 'nerd". The 37-year-old actress plays Sue in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and she's admitted to being obsessed with the character. Vanessa – who stars in the new Marvel movie alongside Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn – told Variety: 'I'm such a Sue nerd." She added: 'There was something so allegorical about her. She was called Invisible Girl. Then Psycho-Man comes and disrupts everything, and she has a meeting with her own dark side in Malice. She comes back, and she renames herself Invisible Woman. So she transforms from a girl to a woman. There's something about meeting the hardest parts of yourself in Malice that felt extremely poignant to me. I'm really hopeful I might be allowed to be Malice at some point for her." Vanessa is particularly keen to explore Sue's Malice incarnation. The actress shared: 'I'm dying to do Malice. She's come from a really tough background. She lost her mother in a car crash. Her dad tried to save her mother. He couldn't. He then spiralled, became an alcoholic, got locked up in prison for murdering a loan shark, and then died. Sue had to become a mother to Johnny. They were orphans. They had to fight for themselves." She added: 'What I loved about her was that she chose a path that was inherently a positive one. She chose to keep her heart open and to stay warm. The Future Foundation, for me, wasn't a noble political act, but it seemed to me that it's Sue's nature." Vanessa previously admitted that she likes to take on 'challenging" roles. The movie star told TheTalks: 'I really like pushing past my limits in that way — I love it. When I read something and go, 'Uh, I don't know how I am going to do this,' then I know I should do it. I don't think it feels as challenging when you read a script and go, 'I know exactly how I am going to do this.'" Vanessa has enjoyed success on stage and screen, and she previously explained where her passion for stage acting came from. The London-born actress shared: 'I always knew I wanted to act, but I had no idea how I was to go about it. It was quite a daunting feeling to know how passionate you feel about something without knowing whether you can achieve it … But my parents love theatre and my dad loves Shakespeare, so I grew up with a lot of Shakespeare stories and plays. And the love for theatre helped me in realising the power of standing up in front of people and telling stories as a group. The audience is as important as the people on stage, so it always felt like a shared experience. With that experience, I felt most connected and most alive." Conor McGregor Teases UFC Comeback (Yet Again) Amid Skepticism: WATCH
Conor McGregor, 37, announced he's undergone drug testing, aiming to re-enter the UFC after a leg break over four years ago. Another year, another Conor McGregor comeback update. Oh well, given the Irishman's history, take it with a pinch of salt. On Tuesday, the former UFC star announced that he has undergone drug testing—an essential step toward re-entering the UFC's anti-doping pool and making a sanctioned return to the Octagon. McGregor posted a video to social media wearing only his underwear and training, as he pointed to a small bandage near his shoulder, claiming it was from his first blood test in the process of getting cleared to fight again. 'I gave my first blood test, that's the plaster on my shoulder. I am ECSTATIC! I'm in SHAPE!" he wrote in a caption accompanying the video. Conor McGregor says he's officially back in the UFC's testing pool 👀'I gave my first blood test, that's what the plaster is on my shoulder. I am ECSTATIC! I'm in SHAPE!" 🎥 @TheNotoriousMMA — Championship Rounds (@ChampRDS) July 30, 2025 In the same flurry of posts, McGregor—sporting a mohawk—shared a video of himself shadowboxing, appearing lean and well-conditioned. McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) has not fought since suffering a leg break in his second consecutive loss to Dustin Poirier—an injury that took place more than four years ago. He was expected to return against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024, but withdrew due to a fractured baby toe. Now 37 years old, McGregor (yet again) appears eager to finally make a comeback. One potential target: a rumored UFC event at the White House, teased by U.S. President Donald Trump as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations of American independence on July 4, 2026. More Headlines Outside the Cage Than In It For McGregor In recent years, McGregor has made more headlines for his legal troubles and online antics than for anything fight-related. His rap sheet includes a sexual assault liability conviction, multiple assault allegations, and a steady stream of social media controversies. Despite years of hints, promotional hype, and statements from UFC CEO Dana White, McGregor has remained far from a true return. So, is this the time McGregor finally steps back into the cage? Well, fans have grown wary after years of unfulfilled promises. So, you be the judge. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
