SUPERMAN Concept Art and Photos Reveal First Look At Kal-El's Suit Without The Divisive Red Trunks — GeekTyrant

We have our first look at what Superman might have looked like without one of his most recognizable wardrobe choices. Newly revealed concept art gives fans a glimpse of an alternate version of the suit designed for Superman, one that skips the red trunks entirely. Graphic and surface designer Maybelle Pineda shared the behind-the-scenes concept on social media, offering a peek at an early take on the Man of Steel's costume. And yes, the red trunks were nowhere to be seen. Without them, the design feels oddly incomplete, almost like something you'd find on a knock-off toy version of the character. There's a strange nakedness to it, even if everything else about the design remains the same. There was a serious debate behind the scenes about whether or not the red trunks should make a return in the DCU. It echoes the earlier decision made by Zack Snyder to ditch the trunks in his interpretation with Henry Cavill, a move that sparked plenty of controversy back in the day. Initially, Superman director James Gunn was leaning in the same direction. "We were trying on all these different versions, and we screened tested with trunks and no trunks," Gunn explained to io9 during an on-set interview last year. "And one of the things David said is that Superman wants kids to not be afraid of him. 'He's an alien. He's got these incredible powers. He shoots beams out of his eyes… He's this incredibly powerful, could be considered scary, individual and he wants people to like him. He wants to be a symbol of hope and positivity. So he dresses like a professional wrestler. He dresses in a way that makes people unafraid of him, that shows that hope that shows that positivity. And that really clicked in for me. 'And I think trying to pretend that Superman's costume doesn't have some frivolity to it at its base, trying to make it look serious, is silly because he is a superhero. He's the first one, brightly colored and that's who he is." It turns out we have David Corenswet to thank for standing up for the red trunks. His argument wasn't just about tradition, it was about what Superman represents to the world. That visual cue, however campy it may seem to some, carries weight. It's about tone and symbolism. Corenswet pushed for the classic look, and thankfully, he got through to Gunn. So while this trunk-less concept may never see the light of day on screen, it's an interesting glimpse into the creative process behind one of the most iconic superheroes of all time. And it shows just how close we came to another red-trunkless Superman in the DC Universe.

Justin Timberlake Shocks Fans With Lyme Disease Revelation After Tour Finale

After wrapping his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which began on July 31, Justin Timberlake left fans stunned with a heartfelt Instagram confession. The pop icon revealed he was privately battling Lyme disease during the entire trek, pushing through relentless pain and fatigue. Following the revelation, several fans took to the post's comment section to express their love for the singer. Justin Timberlake Opens Up About His Struggles Timberlake began his message with raw honesty, writing, 'Well, as these two incredible years come to an end and I look forward to the future, I wanted to write something from the heart. It's not an easy task to try to contextualize the whirlwind of touring — but, I will try…' He reflected on the highs and lows of the road, calling the experience, 'the most fun. Emotional. Gratifying. Physically demanding, and, at times, grueling experience.' Timberlake added, "I have been doing this for 30+ years (which feels crazy to say) –– and have given all that I have to this. I could not have done it without my family, friends, The TN Kids, and all of YOUR support." Battling Lyme Disease In Silence Timberlake reminded his fans of his private nature, noting, "As many of you know, I'm a pretty private person. But as I'm reflecting on the tour and festival tour – I want to tell you a little bit about what's going on with me." The singer revealed what had been hidden behind the spotlight, noting, 'Among other things, I've been battling some health issues. And was diagnosed with Lyme disease.' He continued, 'I don't say so you feel bad for me — but to shed some light on what I've been up against behind the scenes. If you've experienced this disease or know someone who has then you're aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.' Despite nerve pain, exhaustion, and sickness, Timberlake chose resilience. He wrote, "When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness. I was faced with a personal decision." Timberlake added, 'Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I'm so glad I kept going.' Justin Timberlake Thanks Fans And Crew Timberlake credited fans and his touring family for carrying him through. He shared, 'To everyone of you who came to see me on The Forget Tomorrow Tour or JT Live '25 (or any other tour or show throughout the years for that matter)… your energy and love continues to humble me. Your signs, messages, and DIY t-shirts have made me laugh and smile so many times… You have made my dreams come true.' He praised his team, saying, 'Tour life really is like nothing else. It takes a special type of person to be able to do it — much less do it well. You all have been such a beautiful family away from home for me.' The 44-year-old continued, "I will always treasure our time these last couple of years together. I can't wait to see what everyone gets up to next. I know it will be exciting!" He added, "There really is no way to put into words the feeling of being on a stage and getting to share the experience of live music with all of you. It's a vibration of frequency that is unmatched. Sacred to me." Timberlake Uncertain About His Future Justin Timberlake admitted uncertainty about his performing future, noting, 'I honestly don't know what my future is onstage but I'll always cherish this run! It's been the stuff of LEGEND for me.' He added, "If you've made it this far in this caption, you deserve a medal. My heart is filled with gratitude! Love each other. Be good to each other. Don't take it for granted." Timberlake closed with love for his family, writing, 'To Jess, Silas, and Phin... Nothing is more powerful than your unconditional love. You are my heart and my home. I'm on my way…' Justin Timberlake's Fans Flood Him With Supportive Messages Following the post, several fans took to the comment section to show their love and support for Timberlake. One fan wrote, "Being able to perform at this level for this long is nothing short of extraordinary! You truly are an inspiration! No one can perform the way you, all of us fans love and will continue to support you for years and years to come!" Another fan commented, "Justin, you didn't need to share this, but so glad you did. You didn't need to go on with the tour, but so glad you did. Take care of yourself and don't be a stranger!" A third fan noted, "Thank you for being open and thank you for pushing through to continue performing! I saw you 3x this tour and each time was phenomenal! I wish I could've seen more shows! We all love you and thank you for giving us all you do!" According to Mayo Clinic, Lyme disease is an infection caused by Borrelia bacteria, most often spread through the bite of an infected tick. While ticks that carry the bacteria are found across the United States, Lyme disease is most common in the upper Midwest, Northeast, and mid-Atlantic regions. People who spend time in grassy, brushy, or wooded environments are at greater risk. Simple precautions, such as using repellents, wearing protective clothing, and checking for ticks after outdoor activities, can help reduce the chances of infection and protect against the disease. Gisele Bundchen Was ‘Furious' With Ex Tom Brady For Taking a Shot at Her In Remarks About Parenting

Tom Brady's potshots at ex-wife Gisele Bündchen on social media are about to boomerang back in his face, sources tell the National Enquirer — because she's infuriated by his petty behavior and ready to hit back hard if he doesn't cut out the catty remarks. 'People have warned him that Gisele won't stand for it, but Tom's been sitting back and holding his tongue for too long and he can't do it anymore,' says an insider. Sources share the now-retired NFL quarterback hit a nerve with Gisele when he commented online that he was a better parent for sticking with the game so long. Tom said according to TMZ, he was 'doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids, by prioritizing my profession and teaching, by example, what it takes to be really good at your job, what it takes to follow through on commitments, what it takes to be a great teammate, and showing them, also by example, that work is a big part of all of our lives.' As readers know, Gisele was fed up with Tom prioritizing career over family and left him. They're now divorced, and the supermodel recently welcomed baby boy River with beau Joaquim Valente. Meanwhile, Gisele and Tom continue to coparent but have different philosophies on how to do it. 'Tom has a different take on parenting than Gisele and he's merely sticking up for himself. At least, that's the way he sees it,' says the insider. 'The more he reflects on it, the more cross he is about how she treated him during the marriage and how she complained about him pursuing his passion. He just had to say something. 'Word from Gisele's camp is that she's furious and thinks he's acting bitter and being a nuisance. Since they split, all she wanted was to do her thing privately — but now here's Tom needlessly stoking the fire with these statements.' 'Tom's pals are saying he should quit making these thinly veiled comments — or at least he should tread more carefully!'
