NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, April 12, 2025 / EINPresswire.com / -- EricMalley.com announces the release of 'How Rising Tariffs Could Drive Americans Toward Stablecoins and Transform the U.S. Economy,' a new article by Eric Malley exploring how rising tariffs are reshaping financial landscapes and accelerating stablecoin adoption. The piece highlights the transformative potential of stablecoins in mitigating financial pressures, fostering resilience, and unlocking growth in an interconnected global economy.
Introduction: A Timely Perspective on Tariff-Driven Volatility
As global markets grapple with $4 trillion in losses between April 8–10, 2025, due to tariff-driven volatility, Eric Malley offers a timely analysis of how stablecoins can emerge as a practical solution for navigating these challenges. By reducing transaction inefficiencies and boosting market confidence, stablecoins provide a pathway toward economic resilience and equity. This insight underscores Malley's commitment to empowering individuals and organizations with innovative tools for navigating economic complexities.
A Bold Prediction for America's Economic Future
The wealth divide in America remains stark: 88% of Americans own only 10% of equities, while the top 10% control nearly 90% of market wealth. This imbalance leaves the majority of Americans vulnerable to systemic shocks, such as those caused by tariff-driven volatility.
Eric Malley predicts that rising tariffs will drive Americans toward stablecoins as a practical solution to mitigate financial pressures. Stablecoins, digital currencies pegged to fiat currencies like the U.S. dollar, offer transformative ways to navigate these challenges by reducing transaction costs, fostering economic resilience, and broadening access to financial tools.
'As rising tariffs continue to strain the U.S. economy by increasing costs for businesses and consumers alike, I predict that Americans will increasingly turn to stablecoins as a practical solution,' said Eric Malley. 'Stablecoins offer a way to mitigate these pressures by reducing transaction costs, streamlining payments, and fostering economic resilience. This shift could mark the beginning of a broader transformation in how we approach financial stability and equity in an interconnected global economy.'
Tariffs and Their Ripple Effects on Americans
Who Gains and Who Loses?
The recent market volatility caused by rising tariffs demonstrates how interconnected financial systems amplify gains and losses across different groups:
• Top 10% (88% of Market Wealth):
• Gains: Nasdaq's 12% surge added $1.2 trillion to tech-heavy portfolios following Trump's tariff pause announcement.
• Losses: The S&P 500's 10% drop erased $4 trillion globally during the initial tariff escalation.
• Bottom 88% (10% of Market Wealth):
• Hidden Costs: Tariffs on Chinese goods (now at 145%) could raise prices for essentials like electronics by up to 15%, disproportionately affecting low-income households.
• Retirement Risks: Even modest 401(k) holdings in index funds lost value during the sell-off.
Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, warns about the broader economic consequences of tariffs:
'We can expect inflationary impacts not only on imported items but also on domestic prices, as production costs rise and demand for local goods increases. Tariffs will certainly hinder growth.'
Stablecoins: A Solution for Economic Resilience
Eric Malley highlights how stablecoins could offset some of the economic disruptions caused by rising tariffs:
1. Reducing Transaction Costs:
• Stablecoins eliminate inefficiencies in cross-border payments, saving billions annually.
• Example: If 50 million Americans used stablecoins for remittances, the U.S. could save ~$20 billion/year in banking fees funds that could be redirected toward paying down national debt.
2. Boosting Market Confidence:
• Stablecoins' transparency attracts global investors to dollar-backed assets, lowering borrowing costs for the government.
• Lower debt costs mean fewer tax hikes or spending cuts that hurt working families.
Blockchain thought leader Ikuya Takashima highlights the transformative potential of stablecoins in uncertain times:
'Stablecoins are paving the way for a new type of currency that combines user control with reduced volatility. This is an exciting prospect for navigating economic uncertainty.'
3. Rebuilding Lost Wealth:
• Over the next six to nine months, stablecoin adoption could channel $500 billion+ into small businesses and green energy projects.
Spherical Dynamics™: How Everything Is Connected
The economy operates as a web of interconnected systems where individual actions and policy decisions create ripples that affect everyone a concept referred to as 'Spherical Dynamics™.'
For instance:
• Tariffs raise costs for businesses reliant on imports which then pass those costs to consumers.
• Stablecoins provide an alternative pathway by reducing inefficiencies and fostering inclusive growth.

Rebuilding Lost Wealth: A Roadmap for the Next Nine Months
Eric Malley outlines a clear path forward to recover from recent market losses while fostering long-term stability:
1. Months One–Three: Educate communities about stablecoins through workshops and partnerships with credit unions.
2. Months Four–Six: Advocate for policies that integrate stablecoins into public services like stimulus payments or small-business loans.
3. Months Seven–Nine: Scale inclusive investment platforms to channel $500 billion+ into underserved markets.

SAN DIEGO, June 10, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gyre Therapeutics ('Gyre') (Nasdaq: GYRE), an innovative, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing fibrosis-first therapies across organ systems affected by chronic disease, today announced that the first volunteer has been successfully dosed in a Phase 1 clinical trial evaluating F230, a novel endothelin A ('ETA') receptor antagonist, for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension ('PAH').This milestone marks Gyre's entry into the PAH field, a rare, progressive, and high-mortality cardiovascular condition with limited treatment options. PAH is recognized in China's National Rare Disease Catalog, underscoring its significance in public health. According to Frost & Sullivan, China's PAH market was valued at $370 million in 2023 and is projected to grow to $480 million by 2031.F230, originally discovered by Eisai Co., Ltd. and exclusively licensed by GNI Group Ltd. to Gyre, is a fully synthetic small molecule designed to selectively block the ETA receptor. By targeting this pathway, F230 is designed to reduce pulmonary vascular remodeling and lower pulmonary pressure, key contributors to PAH Phase 1 trial is designed to evaluate safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers. The trial represents the latest expansion of Gyre's fibrosis-first strategy beyond the liver, leveraging a robust clinical development platform and commercial infrastructure in China.F230 joins Gyre's pipeline alongside lead candidate Hydronidone (F351), which met the primary endpoint in a pivotal Phase 3 trial for CHB-fibrosis. McDonald's Shares Slump as GLP-1 Risks Spur Rare Sell Rating
(Bloomberg) -- McDonald's Corp. shares slumped on Tuesday after Redburn Atlantic gave the burger chain its sole sell rating, saying shifting consumer patterns due to weight-loss drugs and inflation are cause for concern. Trump Said He Fired the National Portrait Gallery Director. She's Still There. NYC Mayoral Candidates All Agree on Building More Housing. But Where? Senator Calls for Closing Troubled ICE Detention Facility in New Mexico California Pitches Emergency Loans for LA, Local Transit Systems Shares of McDonald's fell as much as 1.7% in Tuesday trading on the downgrade, a two-notch cut from Redburn's previous buy rating. Redburn held a buy rating on the stock since initiating coverage in 2023. As more Americans turn to GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic to lose weight, McDonald's could see as much as a $428 million annual impact to revenue, representing about 1% of system sales, Redburn Atlantic analysts Chris Luyckx and Edward Lewis wrote. 'A 1% drag today could easily build to 10% or more over time, particularly for brands skewed toward lower-income consumers or group occasions.' The analysts also cut McDonald's price target to a Street-low $260, implying a nearly 15% decline from where the stock closed on Monday. Shares have declined for seven straight days, on track for their longest losing streak in nearly 12 years, after closing just below a record high in mid-May. Redburn's lowered recommendation was just the latest downgrade for the fast-food giant, which was recently knocked down to hold-equivalent ratings at Morgan Stanley, Loop Capital and Erste Group. Analysts remain largely split on the stock, with 22 buy-equivalent ratings, 18 hold-equivalent ratings and an average price target of $332, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. McDonald's US same-stores sales fell 3.6% in the first-quarter of this year, marking the largest decline since 2020 when people were stuck at home during the pandemic. Fast-food restaurants like McDonald's have also seen a decline in traffic in 40 of the past 43 months, according to the analysts. In addition to the McDonald's call, Redburn also launched coverage of Domino's Pizza Inc. with a sell rating, while starting Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. as a new neutral. YUM! Brands, Inc., which owns popular brands KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, was raised to buy from neutral given the stock's 'reasonable' valuation. Despite the slump, McDonald's has increased its average transaction amount through pricing, but lower-income consumers are now opting to eat more at home as the price difference between home and restaurant food increases, according to the report. 'While the brand has historically benefited from consumer trade-down during periods of pressure, recent years of outsized menu pricing have created value-perception challenges, contributing to persistent traffic softness,' the analysts wrote. Still, McDonald's shares have risen 3.8% so far this year, but without improved value proposition and menu innovation, continued growth may not be sustainable, the analysts added. --With assistance from Peyton Forte.
