Latest NFL news will thrill Cleveland Browns fans but could signal a roadblock for former Tennessee Vols standout Dylan Sampson
Latest NFL news will thrill Cleveland Browns fans but could signal a roadblock for former Tennessee Vols standout Dylan Sampson originally appeared on A to Z Sports. It appears one of the biggest unknowns remaining for the Cleveland Browns has just resolved itself, and it could serve as a setback for former Tennessee Vol Dylan Sampson's opportunities in 2025 with his team. According to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, RB Quinshon Judkins will not face formal charges due to a decision by prosecutors not to proceed against him stemming from an arrest for battery/domestic violence last month. View the to see embedded media. Judkins was arrested on Saturday, July 12 in Broward County, Florida. The arrest report explains the circumstances and states that Judkins struck his girlfriend multiple times while driving from the airport. The arrest has delayed the signing of Judkins by the Browns, but it appears - at least from the perspective of the law - that hurdle has been cleared, although the league has the independent authority to investigate and levy punishment if it so chooses. It means it's a distinct possibility that Sampson will take a bump down the depth chart in his role once Judkins officially signs on the dotted line and reports to the team. The good thing for Sampson thus far is that he has weeks of a head start on Judkins in camp and the preseason, which is obviously beneficial. However, Judkins will eventually get his sea legs under him. That's not to say Sampson can't carve out a greater role, but the Browns spent a premium draft pick on Judkins this year - second round, 36th overall - and for good reason, as he's a very good player with a good combination of power, size, and speed. We'll see how things shake out next week, as Cleveland has its final week of preseason preparation and play ahead of roster cutdowns.
