Esme Morgan says Sheffield football friendships are 'enduring'
The former High Storrs School pupil thanked her childhood coach Martin Windle "so much" for everything he taught her when she played for Ecclesall Rangers."I love Martin to bits," she said."He did such incredible things for me and all the young kids he coached because he just had this infectious enthusiasm, passion, love for football, and he spread that to all of us."She said "as the only girl on the team" it would have been easy for the club to dismiss her or treat her differently but "Martin just welcomed me with open arms"."He always encouraged me and just spread his love for the game to me and that has really carried me through."
Many of the boys she played with at Ecclesall Rangers have been in touch to say how proud they were and her advice to girls wanting to play football was to "just enjoy it"."That's all I ever did. Ecclesall Rangers were my team and they were my mates."Everyone's journey is different but as long as you're enjoying playing, that's going to take you such a long way."Keep listening to your coaches and following your love for the game and eventually opportunities will come along and you just have to take them where you can."But for the most part, follow your love for football and enjoy playing."Because if nothing else, it brings you incredible friendships."Morgan joined Manchester City's academy as a teenager and now plays her club football in the US.She added: "I made friendships that are going to endure a lifetime and that's the most special part of it."

It has been reported that Bellingham will miss around 10-12 weeks of action, meaning he will not return to the pitch until October. Aside from missing the start of the domestic season with Real Madrid, he will also be unavailable for England's World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia in September. 3

Chargers star reveals troubling reason why he won't leave his Brazil hotel before Kansas City Chiefs game
Los Angeles Chargers star Tony Jefferson has revealed will not be leaving the team's hotel while staying in Brazil due to it not being safe for the opening-week NFL game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The NFL is returning to Brazil next month for the second year in a row, after last year's Week 1 clash, where the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers in Sao Paulo at the Corinthians Arena. Jefferson has again raised concerns about player safety while visiting the country primarily to play a football game. 'Isn't like Brazil dangerous? I'm not leaving the hotel,' Jefferson said. 'I'm finna pack my PS5, my Samsung.' It is the second straight year where a player from a team playing in the South American showdown has publicly voiced his displeasure for the NFL bringing an important game to Sao Paulo. Last season, it was the Eagles duo of Darius Slay and AJ Brown. 'I do not want to go to Brazil. You want to know why? I'm going to tell you why,' Slay said, via PHL Eagles Nation. 'They already told us not to leave the hotel. They told us we can't do too much going on, because the crime rate is crazy. The NFL did not report any wrongdoing around NFL players from last year's game in Sao Paulo.
