Nic Vansteenberghe's reaction to Cierra Ortega's 'Love Island 7' exit shocked fans to the core; more details inside:

Time of India07-07-2025
Love Island 7 saw the unexpected exit of Cierra Ortega, but here's what actually shocked the fans.
Iain Stirling, the show's narrator, declared in Love Island USA's Season 7, Episode 30, "Cierra Ortega has left the villa due to a personal situation, leaving Nic officially single.
" Fans, however, were going crazy at Nic Vansteenberghe's response.
In a recent episode, Cierra and Nic had just decided to become an exclusive couple. Therefore, many people assumed Nic would be upset or, at the very least, take a moment to linger before moving on when she abruptly left after breakfast with little explanation.
No reason was given for Cierra's departure other than it being for 'personal' reasons. The show switches to Nic and fellow contestant Ace Greene talking, during which Nic expresses his confusion and disappointment at Cierra's departure from the villa.
Nic expressed uncertainty about his future course of action. Cierra had been in the show since the beginning of the season and was an original contender.
'Right before Cierra had left, my mind was clear. I knew what the future would look like, and now I'm lost,' Nic said.
He told the boys, 'Well, I think now that my strongest connection has gone, there's, like, you know, I'll just figure it out from here.'
His friend Pepe tried to console him, saying, 'At the end of the day these are actual feelings and emotions.'
I was not expecting this. I don't know,' seemed emotionally detached Nic added.
Fans were left completely flabbergasted:
'Cierra left the villa due to a personal situation. I AM SCREAMING!' one fan posted.
Another said, 'Nic is just evil and so damn in love with Olandria. Mind you, the last time he smiled like that was in ep 21; since that day, we've never seen him that happy. He never liked Cierra, omg.'
Just minutes after Cierra's departure, Nic reconnected with Olandria Carthen.
'However, I could be there for you in this time of need; I could do that. Whatever that looks like for you,' Olandria offered her support. Nic responded with ease, 'That person would be you.'
By the end of the episode, Nic seemed to have fully moved on. 'I've loved him from the moment I met him. I'm super excited to spend the rest of my days with this person. The boy I would like to couple up with is Nic,' Olandria shared during the reconciliation.
Nic finished the episode by kissing Olandria's hand on the dock.
'Love Island USA' only has one more week of episodes until the winners are announced.

Cierra pens new statement Cierra posted a picture of herself in her Instagram Stories and wrote a long note in the caption. It began, 'Unfortunately for those who wish harm on me, I carry nothing but love in my heart. For my life, the people in it, and every waking moment I get to spend on this earth. What should be a collective opportunity to address derogatory language and the harm they carry, has instead snowballed into an excuse for cruelty.' She added, 'Still, I refuse to let misery find company here. I'll keep living with love, presence, and gratitude. Especially in the painful moments, because they, too, shape who we are. I have every belief that all this energy can be alchemized into something with real impact. If even a fraction of it was used to uplift the community directly impacted- to continue amplifying Asian voices and their healing- imagine how much further we could be as a collective.' The note concluded with the words, 'Be kind to someone today. And tomorrow. And every day after that. Love will always go further.' Cierra Ortega on Love Island A few days ago. Cierra had shared a public apology to address the backlash through an Instagram video. I had no idea of its meaning, and it wasn't until I made the public story post in 2024 when a follower of mine reached out to correct me and let me know that what I was saying was incredibly hurtful,' she stressed.
