Pakistan fined for slow over-rate in ODI against New Zealand
Pakistan have been fined 10 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against New Zealand in the first ODI at Napier on 29 March.
Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after Mohammad Rizwan's side was ruled to be two overs short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.
In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined five per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.
Rizwan pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.
On-field umpires Chris Brown and Paul Reiffel, third umpire Michael Gough and fourth umpire Wayne Knights leveled the charge.

Gill confident India can heap ‘immense' pressure on England
India's new red-ball skipper Shubman Gill is positive of India's Test squad for the five-Test series in England. Speaking before departure for the much-anticipated tour, Gill acknowledged that while England's aggressive style of play makes them a challenging opposition to face, India have the goods to counter them. 'They play a certain way. I think we saw that when they came to India as well,' Gill said. 'It gives us an opportunity, it gives us a great challenge, if we are very proactive with our execution, and if we are proactive with our plans, I think it would put them under pressure immensely.' Gill was named skipper of India's 18-member squad that will be missing stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who recently called it quits from the longest format. Among the seasoned campaigners in the squad is pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. Ireland tweak T20I squad for West Indies series
Ireland have announced three changes to their 14-player squad for the T20I series against the West Indies which was announced last month. The squad is bolstered by experienced pacer Mark Adair's return, who missed out on the ODI series through injury. Right-arm pacer Craig Young missed out on the ODI series due to injury and will miss out on the T20I series as well. All-rounder Curtis Campher also met the same fate as he did not recover in time to feature against the West Indies and will sit out the upcoming series.
