Scout displays & solidarity marches in support of Gaza in Hajjah

Saba Yemen22-05-2025
Hajjah - Saba:
The Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses in Hajjah province organized on Thursday scout displays and marches for students of summer courses in several districts, in solidarity with Gaza.
Students from the summer courses participated in these activities in Bani Mahdi (Bakhlan Al-Sharaf), Masahira, Bani Dhahay, Bani Mufaddal (Al-Jumaimah), Al-Akama, and areas from the western sector (Al-Jabr Al-A'la in Al-Miftah). Additionally, participants included the martyr Abu Hadi Ajjar Center for the sons of Harad in Abs, Anhum Al-Gharb, and Al-Abisah in Kashr.
During the events, the students raised copies of the Quran, the Palestinian and Yemeni flags, and slogans denouncing the enemies of Islam. They condemned the brutal massacres committed by the Zionist enemy against children and women in Gaza, amid shameful international and global silence and disgraceful Arab inaction.
They affirmed their steadfastness in the faith-based stance supporting Palestine and endorsed the decisions and choices of the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi, as well as the Armed Forces in deterring aggression against Gaza and Yemen.

Supreme Court Defers Hearing on Plea for Release of Indian Nurse Nimisha Priya by Eight Weeks

Aden – India's Supreme Court has postponed its consideration of a plea seeking diplomatic intervention for the release of Nimisha Priya, a Kerala-born nurse currently on death row in Yemen, listing the matter for review after eight weeks. The petition, filed by the Save Nimisha Priya International Action Council, urged the government to facilitate negotiations with the family of the Yemeni man whom Priya was convicted of murdering in 2017. Under Yemeni law, a pardon may be granted in exchange for 'blood money,' but the Ministry of External Affairs has previously denied travel clearance to the conflict-ridden country, citing severe security risks. During Thursday's hearing, the petitioner's counsel informed the bench—comprising Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta—that there was currently 'no immediate threat' to Priya's life, as her execution had been temporarily stayed. The bench agreed to defer the case, allowing time for ongoing negotiations and stating that the matter could be mentioned earlier if an emergency arises. Priya, 38, has been imprisoned in Sana'a since her conviction and sentencing in 2020. Her final appeal was rejected in 2023. The case has drawn widespread attention from human rights advocates, Kerala's political leadership, and the Indian diaspora, who continue to call for urgent diplomatic efforts to secure her release. The Supreme Court's decision to delay the hearing underscores the complex legal and geopolitical challenges surrounding the case, as well as the limited options available for direct engagement in Yemen amid ongoing civil conflict.

Sultanate of Oman condemns Israeli statements regarding so-called "Greater Israel"

Muscat - Saba: The Sultanate of Oman condemned in the strongest terms the statements and allegations made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding so-called "Greater Israel." The Sultanate expressed its categorical rejection of his illegal expansionist plans, which flagrantly violate international law and infringe upon the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state on their lands in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, with Quds as its capital. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, the Sultanate of Oman stressed that these expansionist proposals pose a direct threat to the security and stability of the region and fuel hostility and tension at a time when there is a dire need for calm, cooperation among the countries of the region, and respect for the principles of national sovereignty. The Sultanate of Oman also affirmed its firm position in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries of the region, and its firm rejection of any plans aimed at undermining national entities or changing the political geography of the region. The Sultanate of Oman reiterated its firm commitment to supporting the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to establish an independent state on the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Quds as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative. The Sultanate of Oman called on the international community to take a firm stance against these aggressive policies, work to protect the rights of the Palestinian people, and ensure the achievement of a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

Armed Forces Target Lod Airport in Occupied Jaffa

Sana'a - Saba: Triumphing for the oppressed Palestinian people and their dear Mujahideen, and in response to the crimes of genocide and starvation perpetrated by the Zionist enemy against our people in the Gaza Strip... The missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Lod Airport in the occupied Yaffa region using a "Palestine 2" hypersonic ballistic missile. The operation successfully achieved its goal, thanks to Allah, and caused millions of herds of usurping Zionists to flee to shelters and suspending airport operations. The Yemeni Armed Forces are monitoring developments on the ground in Gaza and affirm their full confidence in the ability of the heroic Mujahideen from all factions to thwart the enemy's moves and foil its plan to occupy Gaza and displace its people, Allah willing, just as they foiled the previous aggressive military operation, named "Chariots of Gideon," and its predecessors. With Allah's help, we will remain with you and by your side until victory, utilizing all our available capabilities. We will escalate our support operations until the aggression against you stops and the siege is lifted. Sana'a, Safar 20, 1447 AH August 14, 2025 AD
