Tom Brady holds a samurai sword and meets sumos in epic Japan trip with kids Vivian and Benjamin
Tom Brady is enjoying his time off from calling NFL games, as he recently took a memorable trip to Japan with his children Vivian and Benjamin.
Brady stepped into the booth for the first time last season as he served as Fox Sports' lead game analyst, culminating with the network's broadcast of Super Bowl LIX.
But the legendary quarterback, who is also a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, got away from the sport for a bit as he brought Vivian and Benjamin on what appeared to be an epic trip.
In an Instagram carousel post recapping the vacation, Brady can be seen holding a samurai sword, watching some sumo wrestling and posing with his kids in several different settings.
In one photo, Brady even showed off a cake with a Raiders logo on it presented to his family at a restaurant.
'Japan we love you! We had SO MUCH FUN! Thank you for your hospitality and beauty!,' he wrote on Instagram.
'What an amazing culture of honor, respect, and discipline. From the history, to the traditions, every day we learned and laughed and loved - the food, the shops, the people, the animals and everything in between!
'These trips shape us and remind us how much there is to learn when we step outside our routines and see the world together. Arigato gozaimasu!'
The seven-time Super Bowl winner's trip to Japan was not the first stop he and his kids made abroad, as Brady previously took Vivian and Benjamin to PSG's Champions League Final win in Munich.
The family also went to Amsterdam after, seeing numerous sights in the Dutch capital.
Brady shares Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 12 with his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen.
He also has a 17-year-old son, Jack, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
Speaking at the Fortune Global Forum in New York City last fall, Brady admitted he'd 'screwed up a lot as a parent.'
'All of the parents of the room know that being a parent is probably the hardest job all of us have. And we screw up a lot,' he said.
'And I've screwed up a lot as a parent. I don't wanna seem like I'm some sort of expert in parenting, because I'm certainly not that.'
He also acknowledged that it 'sucks to be Tom Brady's son' as a boy, as he discussed how he supports his children's endeavors.
'The blessing my parents gave me,' he said, 'was when I was that longshot as a kid who was a backup quarterback on a freshman team, they never said, 'Man, don't do that. It's going to be too hard. Let's do something different. Let's think about another backup plan.'
'They kind of said, 'You know what? Go for it,'' he added. 'And that's probably my parenting style.'

Buffalo Bills hero dies three days before his birthday as his team pays emotional tribute
The Buffalo Bills are mourning the loss of one of the key pieces on their two-time AFL Championship-winning teams in the mid-1960s. Stew Barber, a starting left tackle who won back-to-back league titles in 1964 and 1965, passed away last week. Barber had enjoyed his retirement from the league in South Carolina and died surrounded by his family at the age of 86 last Wednesday. He would have turned 87 last Saturday. Barber was a native of Pennsylvania and began playing the sport of football at a young age. After breaking his own father's high school record in the shot put, Barber received full scholarships to play basketball and football at Penn State. He played on both sides of the line in college. Barber graduated in 1961 and was selected in both the NFL and the AFL Drafts that season. The Dallas Cowboys selected him 30th overall in the third round of that year's draft, while the Bills took him 25th overall in the fourth round. Faced with a decision, Barber picked Buffalo in order to stay closer to home. After spending his rookie season at outside linebacker - tallying three interceptions, including a pick six - Barber was moved to offensive tackle for 1962. He'd remain there for the rest of the decade - protecting Bills quarterback Jack Kemp en route to two AFL titles. Barber earned five AFL All-Star selections and two All-AFL First Team selections. When the AFL-NFL merger happened in 1970, Barber was named to the second-team on the AFL All-Time Team. But Barber never played in the NFL, retiring in 1969. He transitioned to the Bills' front office - beginning as a college scout before rising through the ranks and becoming assistant general manager and vice president. He retired in 1983 and lived out his final days in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Barber is survived by his wife Vicki, three daughters, and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
