Man shot, killed in South Chicago Saturday evening

CHICAGO – A man has died after he was discovered with a gunshot wound in South Chicago Saturday evening.
Chicago police said at just before 6:30 p.m., officers were sent to the 2000 block of East 79th Street and found a 35-year-old man slumped over the steering wheel inside a vehicle. Officers then discovered the man had been shot in the right arm.

The man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition and later died from his injuries. A 4-year-old boy was also inside the vehicle but was not injured, according to investigators.
No arrests have been made and Area Two Detectives are investigating.
