has expanded its street motorcycle line-up with the introduction of the
KTM 160 Duke
, priced at ₹1,84,998 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The model marks the company's entry into the premium 160 cc segment and is aimed at widening its customer base.
Specifications and features
The KTM 160 Duke is powered by a 164.2 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 19 PS at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.
It features a split trellis frame, WP Apex fork, bionic light wheels, and a braking system with a 320 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc. The bike also includes a 5-inch LCD display, a ground clearance of 174 mm, and a kerb weight of 147 kg.
Colour options—Electronic Orange, Atlantic Blue, and Silver Metallic Matte—are available. Bookings are open through KTM dealerships and the company's official website.
Market strategy
According to KTM, the addition of the 160 Duke is expected to strengthen its presence in the premium sport motorcycle segment, which now spans 160 cc to 400 cc models. The brand, in partnership with Bajaj Auto, has over 450 retail outlets across India and a customer base of nearly half a million.
Manik Nangia, President – Probiking, said the model brings the company's established engineering approach to a wider audience while retaining the performance characteristics associated with KTM.

The 160 cc naked bike claims to come blending a high-performance character with premium sporty styling. The automaker claims that the new motorcycle dons a race-influenced design. The 160 Duke claims to come with race-inspired aerodynamics and an aggressive riding stance. Also, the motorcycle claims to come with agile handling capability. It gets the signature KTM LED headlamp with a bifurcated look, sharp tank shrouds, chunky fuel tank, a sleek tail section, LED taillight, etc. It sports the signature Orange and Black paint theme of KTM. The company's current Indian line-up now includes the 1390 Super Duke R, 890 Duke R, 390 Duke, 250 Duke, 200 Duke and the newly launched 160 Duke. Deliveries for the 160 Duke are scheduled to begin on 12 August. Design and features The 160 Duke follows KTM's established design cues, featuring a sharp fuel tank with extended shrouds, a compact tail section and the brand's split LED headlamp. Race-inspired styling elements include an aggressive stance and aerodynamic detailing. The bike will be offered in two colour options – the familiar orange-and-black combination and a blue-and-white scheme with orange highlights. A 5.0-inch LCD display is fitted as standard, offering smartphone pairing, turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alerts and music control functions. Engine and performance Power comes from a 160 cc liquid-cooled engine based on the 200 Duke platform.
