AIDAN NESBITT grew up alongside Kieran Tierney — so he knows the size of the task he'll face having to stop him.
Falkirk attacker Nesbitt was eight years old when he joined Celtic around the same time as Scotland star Tierney.

But their careers went separate ways, with Nesbitt leaving for MK Dons in 2017 and Tierney becoming a club legend before joining Arsenal.
Nesbitt said: 'I was maybe eight when I first clapped eyes on Kieran.
'We both joined Celtic at the same time and had 12 years in the same team.
'We went to school together too.
"He was younger than me in school but we'd still hang about at lunch and breaks and play football together.
'He was always high energy, always having a laugh and a joke.
'He's matured and media trained to the hilt now but he's still going to be the same guy who likes his music and likes Celtic, the same as me.'
Most of Nesbitt's friends and family will be among the home support for Friday's Parkhead clash.
They were delighted to see Tierney brought back to the club this summer, as Hoops diehard Nesbitt was too.
But it also means he will now have to try to tame him when the game kicks off.

Nesbitt added: 'As Celtic fans you want the best players to play for the club.
"Since Kieran broke through when he was 18 - ten years ago - there haven't been many better left-backs in the UK than him.
'So as Celtic fans we were absolutely delighted to see him back.
"Growing up with him and coming through all the years with him, it was good to see one of your own going and doing so well.
'He's played at the top level and he's a fantastic player.
"But I've got one job tomorrow night and so does everybody in the Falkirk team.
'It doesn't matter how good he is, it doesn't matter how good Callum McGregor is or how good Reo Hatate is.
"It really makes no difference to us. We just need to go and beat them.
"We're all on the same pitch as they are, doing the same jobs. So you just need to trust in yourself and go and try and beat them.'

Rangers boss addresses Andy Halliday criticism and reveals uplifting message from Ibrox maintenance man

After a challenging start to his Rangers tenure, the last thing Russell Martin needed was a former Ibrox team-mate criticising his tactics on a public forum. However, the Rangers head coach insists he has no objections with Andy Halliday airing his unflattering views on his style of play after the draws against Motherwell and Dundee which have left his side four points behind Celtic just two matches into the Premiership season. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Halliday, who plays for Motherwell but also works as a media pundit, used a tactics board to explain where he felt Rangers were going wrong under Martin. Critiquing the 1-1 draw with Dundee on the Open Goal podcast, he noted that Rangers were short of numbers in attack. (Photo by Rob Casey / SNS Group) | SNS Group "Dundee played a 5-4-1, really compact, really tight, really deep and narrow,' Halliday said. 'Rangers went with a flat back four and they had five players attacking eleven players. How are you going to create chances and score goals if you're five v eleven? You would struggle to score against kids in training if you were five v eleven.' Addressing Halliday's comments during his pre-match press conference ahead of facing Alloa in the Premier Sports Cup second round on Saturday, Martin said: "I like Andy. I regard him as a really good ex-teammate and a good person. I'm sure at some point we'll have a coffee in the West End and we'll sit down and discuss. I know he wants to coach at some point. But when you work in the media you have to give an opinion, right? I've got absolutely no problem with it all, although I never said we'd be play inverted full-backs, so I have told him that." Halliday is not alone in questioning Martin's approach after his Rangers side struggled to break down Dundee last Sunday while the follow-up performance against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League third qualifying round second leg on Tuesday night left a lot to be desired as Rangers edged through 4-2 on aggregate despite losing 2-1 on the night. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Martin insists, however, that his players need to block the 'outside noise' and focus on what he is asking them to do. (Photo by) 'The perfect analogy' "There's been an energy around this place for a while, inside and outside, where there's been a lot of disappointment, frustration and criticism,' he explained. 'While we are here, our job is to really focus on what we can effect, and what we can impact. If we do our jobs to the best of our ability in here, and focus on the work, being better, and having really high standards that this club should stand for, I just don't see how it doesn't go in the right direction. "One of the maintenance guys here this week said, 'we're turning a tanker around, gaffer, and it will just take some time, but when we get it going...'. I thought it was the perfect analogy. "We've just qualified for the Champions League [play-offs]. I spoke to the staff on Sunday after Dundee because everyone here supporters the club and they really feel things. But our job here is to just work and not let the outside noise affect how we work. It just can't. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad

Celtic summer signing left OUT of Champions League squad for crucial play-off against Kairat Almaty

BRENDAN RODGERS has submitted his 25-man squad for the Champions League play-off tie against Kairat Almaty. Celtic host the Kazakhstan champions at Parkhead next week in the first leg before making their gruelling trip across the globe the following week - just days before their first meeting with Rangers of the season. 1 The first leg is just days away for Brendan Rodgers and his players Credit: PA The Hoops gaffer has been very vocal in the lead up to the fixture about his desire to improve his squad with more signings ahead of the potential £40million showdown. But his demands haven't been met and he'll only have his current summer signings available for the massive clash - apart from one. The manager has decided to leave Hayato Inamura behind for the two legs as he HASN'T been included in his roster for the two games. It's a surprising move from the Northern Irishman, who is already lacking left-back options as it is - without a direct backup for Kieran Tierney. The manager initially revealed the Japanese star WOULDN'T be part of his first team plans when he arrived in Glasgow last month.
