Jennifer Lopez delivered an unforgettable opening performance at the 2025 American Music Awards, and Tiffany Haddish had a few words to say about it. On Monday, the 55-year-old pop star stole the show with her epic opening number. Lopez belted out 23 songs in six minutes in a spectacular medley of hit tracks. The singer also made jaws drop when she locked lips with her backup dancers during the performance.
Expectedly, the spicy moment had the celebrities and netizens talking. Haddish, too, did not hold back from sharing her thoughts. The 45-year-old comedian and actor took the stage to present the award for Favorite R&B Song. This is when Haddish got candid about her reaction to Lopez's sizzling act. The actor first gushed, 'How cool is it to have a total superstar like J.Lo hosting the AMAs?'
Haddish then joked that this year's edition of the awards ceremony should be dubbed the 'JMAs.' She continued to praise Lopez's performance, saying, 'Our host has just danced to 23 hits in six minutes.' Haddish added, 'Just from that opening number alone, Jenny from the Block has got all her steps in for the day, and she got all her kisses in.' The comedian then joked, 'Save a dancer for me, J.Lo.' She added, 'You ain't the only one out here single.'
In other news, Jennifer Lopez has been occupied with her back-to-back gigs since her divorce from Ben Affleck was finalized in January.

Swifties Can't Get Enough of Taylor Swift's Via Carota Visit in NYC
's hiatus hasn't been easy on the Swifties, and a video showed how her recent Via Carota visit proved to be their consolation. A viral clip on X (formerly Twitter) shared a brief look at Swift's stylish outing in New York City on Thursday night. Spectators' reactions clearly proved they couldn't get enough of it. A swarm of fans and paparazzi gathered outside the establishment – one of her favorite dining spots – to catch a rare glimpse. However, the clip only captured her walking out of the door and into her SUV, leaving everybody wanting more. A solo date in the Big Apple doesn't sound like a bad idea, especially when you're a pop icon. This viral video on X (formerly Twitter) showed Taylor Swift's recent outing in NYC as she exited Via Carota with a flock of fans and paps greeting her at the entrance. The singer's dress, which is only visible in the flashes in the clip, appeared to be a gorgeous black piece with multicoloured prints throughout. In addition, Swift was sporting her signature bangs, and her hair remained tied in a neat ponytail. She paired a handbag that one could barely notice, hanging on her arm. More interestingly, the video captured the stunned reactions of fans besides documenting the Grammy winner's rare outing. One can notice people with their mouths wide open in the background because it's not every day one encounters a celebrity like her walking by. A second clip showed a fellow diner's jaw-dropping reaction to seeing Swift entering the restaurant. The text over the post read, 'That face when you're having dinner and Taylor Swift shows up,' with a geotag of the location. Before videos of her solo dinner date in NYC's Via Carota went viral, Taylor Swift enjoyed a cozy date with Travis Kelce in Florida. Her NFL star boyfriend has reportedly been staying in Florida, turning his $20 million mansion into his 'base of operations' to train during the off-season. Swift reportedly pays him frequent visits, including once last week, when they enjoyed a dinner outing at the Harry's Bar & Restaurant in West Palm Beach. Report: If Steven Adams leaves in free agency, Rockets eyeing Brook Lopez as backup plan
When the Houston Rockets signed Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks in 2023 free agency, they also pursued Bucks center Brook Lopez. But in the final hours, Lopez spurned Houston to stay in Milwaukee. Two years later, however, the interest from a basketball standpoint is still there. If backup center Steven Adams leaves the Rockets this offseason, The Athletic's Kelly Iko reports that Houston could again pursue Lopez in free agency: If Adams leaves, team sources said the Rockets could reignite their interest in Brook Lopez. The 37-year-old, who averaged 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game (while) shooting 37% from 3 in Milwaukee last season, was previously a target for Houston. He would theoretically be a fit, given his two-way production and health (played 237 games over the last three seasons). Advertisement Lopez will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, with negotiations open to all teams on June 30. To be clear, Houston's priority will be Adams, who is several years younger (at 31) and is coming off an extremely strong run in the 2025 NBA playoffs. But as an unrestricted free agent, he will have other options — and the Rockets can't offer a starting role, given the presence of All-Star incumbent Alperen Sengun. Interestingly enough, one of the reasons Lopez stayed with the Bucks two years ago was presumably the fact that Milwaukee appeared much closer to title contention. But the aging Bucks are reeling and dealing with a potential trade request from franchise cornerstone Giannis Antetokounmpo, while the young and improving Rockets are coming off a 52-30 season with the NBA's fourth-best record. Advertisement The landscape has changed, and that might make the Rockets more of a draw to Lopez, this time around. However, Adams remains Houston's preference. Both Adams and Lopez could potentially play alongside Sengun in double big lineups, which the Rockets increasingly used as the 2024-25 season progressed. The ability of Lopez to also hit 3-pointers could mitigate some of the floor spacing concerns with those units, though Adams is clearly the superior rebounder. The design included a long skirt and the fabric featured a soft, velvety texture. De Armas accessorized her look with pieces of shimmering silver jewelry, including rings, a statement necklace and earrings. The Oscar-nominated 'Blonde' star's hair was pulled back into a low ponytail with a middle part and wisps to frame her face by stylist Jenny Cho. As for her makeup, artist Mélanie Inglessis defined de Armas's brows, gave the actress a lined, smoky eye and a glossy berry lip. De Armas's look was curated by frequent stylist and collaborator Samantha McMillen, who's also worked with Elle Fanning and styled the actress' 2025 Cannes Film Festival looks. De Armas joined Louis Vuitton as a brand ambassador in June 2023. The actress went on to star in the French luxury fashion house's 'Le Damier de Louis Vuitton' jewelry campaign in September 2024. She often attends Louis Vuitton fashion shows, where de Armas has been spotted in the front row. Ahead of her forthcoming film's arrival in theaters, de Armas spoke with WWD about the process of making 'Ballerina,' her first Oscar nomination and her goals for the future. 'I think I know what I want to do, and I also want to be surprised,' de Armas said. 'I want things to come my way. And sometimes you get in that dynamic of project after project after project, and you are doing a project while you're reading the next thing. It works better for me if I just take my time and just see what I really want to do.' 'Ballerina' follows the origin story of Eve Macarro (de Armas), an orphaned ballerina assassin who sets out to avenge her father's death. The film hits theaters June 6.
