Top MSU commit, 4-star QB Kayd Coffman picks up offer from Deion Sanders, Colorado Colorado is the first school to offer Kayd Coffman since he committed to Michigan State in February
The top commit in the Spartans' 2026 class has picked up an offer from one of the most known personalities in all of college football.
Four-star quarterback and Michigan State commit Kayd Coffman picked up an offer from Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday. Colorado is the first team to extend an offer to Coffman since he committed to Michigan State in February.
Coffman announced the offer from Colorado via a post on his social media X account. He included Sanders in his post on the offer.
Coffman ranks as the No. 22 quarterback in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 295 overall prospect in the class and No. 5 player from Michigan.
Coffman holds offers from more than 10 schools, with some of the other more notable programs to offer him being Cincinnati, Duke, Ole Miss, Syracuse and Iowa State. Coffman has recently been gaining more attention on the recruiting trail, with Ohio State also starting to show interest in him. Adding Sanders and the Buffaloes to the list of schools pursuing him will only make things harder for Michigan State to retain his very important commitment.

T.J. Watt's potential fines for skipping Steelers mandatory minicamp revealed

T.J. Watt's potential fines for skipping Steelers mandatory minicamp revealed T.J. Watt's contract dispute has led him to no-show Steelers mandatory minicamp — and hefty fines could be the price to pay. Insider Adam Schefter revealed that players on veteran deals could be subjected to up to $100,000 in fines for missing mandatory minicamp — and here is what the Steelers star defender could face per day: Day 1: $17,462 Day 2: $34,925 Day 3: $52,381 Total: $104,768 It remains to be seen if the Steelers will impose the fines, but if Watt's rumored $41 million per year asking price is to be believed, $100K would mean little in the long run. Watt isn't the only edge defender seeking a new contract, as Bengals star DE Trey Hendrickson also skipped mandatory minicamp amid extension talks. While Watt remains absent from mandatory minicamp, all eyes will turn to OLBs Alex Highsmith, Nick Herbig, and rookie Jack Sawyer this offseason. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin breaks his silence on T.J. Watt holdout amid minicamp absence

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin breaks his silence on T.J. Watt holdout amid minicamp absence Day 1 of Steelers mandatory minicamp has come and gone — and T.J. Watt was nowhere to be found. The Steelers star defender is likely channeling the energy of his former hold-in that resulted in a major payday just days before the start of the 2021 regular season — and HC Mike Tomlin wasted little time addressing the elephant in the room. Regarding Watt's mandatory minicamp absence, Tomlin made it clear he was neither shocked nor worried about Watt's future in the Steel City (courtesy of Teresa Varley, "Certainly, we'd like him to be here, but certainly not surprised by where we are," said Tomlin. "We've expressed a desire to get the business done. He has as well. So, we'll continue to work. We've been here before." Even at 30 years old, Watt remains the unquestioned life force of the Steelers defense — a pass-rush monster designed to create havoc in opposing backfields that deserves to get paid sooner than later. MSU target, 3-star DL Gavin Neil picks up offer from Boston College

A Michigan State defensive lineman target is gaining some traction on the recruiting trail, with a power four school extending him an offer this week. Gavin Neil of Chicago Heights, Ill. announced on Tuesday that he's received an offer from Boston College. Neil posted on his social media X account to share the notable offer from the Eagles. Advertisement Neil is a three-star defensive lineman in the 2026 class, and holds a recruiting rating of 86 on 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 140 defensive lineman and No. 34 player from Illinois in the class. Michigan State and Boston College are the only two power four conference schools to offer Neil at this point in his recruitment, according to 247Sports. He holds other offers from smaller schools such as Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Marshall, Wyoming, Air Force, Army and Northern Illinois. Neil is set to take an official visit to Michigan State on June 20, and is currently projected to end up a Spartan via 247Sports' crystal ball predictions. So this latest offer from Boston College could threaten the Spartans' chances of landing his commitment later this month. This is certainly a prospect to keep an eye on as we progress through the next few weeks.
