COTI Launches Monthly DeCC Space in Collaboration with Secret Network, to Unite Web3 Projects in Mainstreaming Onchain Privacy

Privacy-focused Layer 2 COTI has launched a monthly DeCC (Decentralized Confidential Computing) space to unite web3 projects exploring onchain privacy implementations. The virtual events bring together developers and teams working on solutions designed to provide greater privacy protection for enterprises and consumers transacting onchain. The first DeCC event, hosted as an X Spaces event on July 22 in collaboration with Secret Network, was themed around the prospect of an impending Privacy Summer and what this emerging narrative means for web3 users. The hangout, which attracted thousands of listeners, included guests from Midnight Network (a new zero-knowledge smart contract blockchain focused on enhancing privacy for its users) and Ten Protocol, whose team is working on a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) for EVM, supporting the creation of encrypted applications for everything from AI agents to prediction markets. During the course of the first X Spaces event, members of COTI and assorted guests discussed Privacy 1.0 vs Privacy 2.0, comparing the first wave of privacy protocols that were regulatory unfriendly and thus incompatible with mainstream adoption. This was compared with the second wave of privacy solutions designed to balance the need for onchain privacy with the ability to disclose information with specific parties, such as for compliance purposes. Speakers who gave their insights included guests from Secret Network, Midnight Network, Ten Protocol, Mind Network, Soda Labs, Rena Labs, Ethernity, and others. During the event, COTI CEO Shahaf Bar-Geffen commented: 'Without privacy, public blockchains can't support serious use-cases,' adding that, 'Privacy 2.0 is not about secrecy: it's about identity, safety, and scalability. It's compliant by design.' The guests also discussed the role that privacy will play in driving global adoption of blockchain. Shahaf Bar-Geffen predicted: 'This is the moment at which privacy breaks through, ushering in the Privacy Summer we have all been waiting for. Privacy tech has been maturing for years, but it's been slow, complex, and misunderstood – that era is over.' COTI intends to continue hosting monthly DeCC events that will highlight the work being done by teams across the omnichain landscape to enhance access to privacy for consumers and institutions alike. In addition to spotlighting the need for onchain privacy, the events are designed to unite teams working on privacy implementations and foster a spirit of collaboration. In the process, the hangouts will help inform crypto users of the privacy solutions available to them and the ways in which they can utilize these to protect sensitive data. COTI is on a mission to democratize access to privacy tools, with its privacy layer powered by Garbled Circuits and developed in collaboration with Soda Labs. Engineered to meet enterprise-scale demands, it features programmable privacy features that allow users to mask specific transactions. The technology can be implemented on both EVM and non-EVM chains, supporting a host of DeFi and web3 applications. Through its ongoing DeCC events, COTI hopes to normalize blockchain privacy and showcase the ways it can be harnessed to protect everything from proprietary trading algorithms to personal data such as wallet balances. These efforts will serve to further legitimize privacy and move the industry closer to realizing a Privacy Summer that will see the technology become deeply embedded into dApps, wallets, and DeFi protocols. The COTI Network is the fastest and lightest confidentiality layer in web3, powered by the breakthrough cryptographic protocol Garbled Circuits. COTI introduces the most advanced and compliant solution for data protection on the public blockchain, paving the way for the next wave of web3 innovation and adoption. COTI unlocks a whole new world of use cases, including confidential transactions, Artificial Intelligence, DeFi, decentralized identification, and more. Contact

Orbs is a decentralized Layer-3 (L3) blockchain designed specifically for advanced onchain trading. Utilizing a Proof-of-Stake consensus, Orbs acts as a supplementary execution layer, facilitating complex logic and scripts beyond the native functionalities of smart contracts. Orbs powered protocols such as dLIMIT, dTWAP, Liquidity Hub, and Perpetual Hub push the boundaries of DeFi and smart contract technology, introducing CeFi-level execution to onchain trading. Learn more: About PriveX Privex is a next-gen DeFAI platform built at the intersection of AI, privacy, and intent-based execution. It enables users to deploy autonomous trading agents, and trade on the integrated DEX with CEX-grade liquidity – all fully private and permissionless. Powered by COTI's privacy layer and integrated with Symmio's advanced settlement infrastructure, Privex creates a seamless environment where strategies are tokenized, agents act independently, and users retain full control. It's the foundation for a new era of intelligent, composable, and censorship-resistant finance.

Bitget surges to become world's no. 3 crypto exchange by volume

Bitget has emerged as the third-largest cryptocurrency exchange in terms of trading volume, according to the firm's recently released April 2025 transparency report. Founded in 2018, Bitget is a Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange that offers spot and futures trading services to its global user base. Its dynamic copy trading service lets inexperienced traders imitate the trading positions of the most successful and experienced traders on the platform. In April, Bitget recorded a futures trading volume of $757.6 billion and a spot trading volume of $68.6 billion — both remarkable metrics, given the month witnessed market correction and investor caution. The market share of Bitget grew to 7.2% in April, defying broader exchange trends. The crypto exchange's user base also exceeded 120 million users last month. In April, Bitget secured both Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) and Bitcoin Service Provider (BSP) regulatory licenses in El Salvador, letting it offer full crypto services — spot, derivatives, staking, and yield — in one of the most crypto-friendly countries in the world. The exchange also marched forward to its goal of leveraging centralized infrastructure to make decentralized ecosystem more accessible by launching Bitget Onchain last month. It is a unique feature within the Bitget application that allows users to trade on-chain assets directly from their spot accounts. Bitget also upgraded its Liquidity Incentive Program with better maker-taker rates last month, in a boost to institutional growth. The exchange also contributed to conversations around crypto economy and tech innovation at global platforms like TOKEN2049 Dubai and Paris Blockchain Week. Helmed by CEO Gracy Chen, Bitget has gained popularity among retail traders over the years by offering advanced trading tools and a user-friendly interface.
