Liverpool police ‘squash' rumors of car street ramming being terror related

Sky News AU27-05-2025

News Corp Europe Correspondent Sophie Elsworth discusses Liverpool police squashing 'any speculation' of the driving attack being terror-related.
'The police here in Merseyside came out last night and were quick to say this is not terror-related, and that a 53-year-old white British male has been arrested, the driver of the vehicle,' Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
'This was a day of celebration for Liverpool.
'It was a 10-mile parade that the players were going through … until about 6 o'clock last night when this car ploughed through the crowd.
'There are a lot of people here today in a very sombre mood.'
