UK residents voice their ‘disgust' with UK government as protestors demand release of hostages
News Corp Europe Correspondent Sophie Elsworth discusses a protest in London over the weekend demanding the release of the Israeli hostages from Gaza. 'I was here in central London yesterday at this protest led by Jewish organisations to march through some of the prominent streets,' Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Chris Kenny. 'Calling for the release of the hostages and also voicing their disgust really with the British government over its decision to recognize Palestinian statehood. 'It was a relatively peaceful protest, quite a powerful protest. 'Tensions are increasing here in Britain.'

Some of the 522 arrested at Palestine Action protest were released on bail ‘immediately'
News Corp Europe Correspondent Sophie Elsworth discusses a pro-Palestine protest in the UK, which led to large numbers of arrests that the police 'couldn't handle'. 'There were over 520 arrests, and they were still counting them on the weekend,' Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Chris Kenny. 'There's only about 5000 holding cells here in London … but they had over 500 arrests. 'There was some people getting arrested and then being released on bail immediately and returning to the protest, because police could not cope with the amount of arrests.'

'I was at those protests today here in Edinburgh and spoke to many attendees at this protest,' Mr Elsworth said. 'Many of them had mixed messages from that protest. 'Some were saying that Mr Trump shouldn't be in Scotland, others were saying that he is not helping the situation in Gaza at all, others accused him of various other things.'
