Flau'jae Johnson Reveals She's No Longer Friends With Angel Reese, Social Media Has Theories Why
Angel Reese can't seem to catch a break. She's admittedly gotten off to a rough start this season, averaging 10 points, and was recently criticized by boxer Claressa Shields over winning the Sportswoman of the Year BET Award. And now, former friend and teammate Flau'jae Johnson has revealed that the two aren't as close as they once were, a few years ago when they led LSU to an NCAA championship over the Caitlin Clark-led Iowa Hawkeyes in 2023. Johnson spoke about the relationship breakdown during a recent interview with The Breakfast Club . ' We're not friends,' Johnson said. 'But I mean, like, that bond that we had, and that thing we did together, win the national championship, you can never take that away from us.' Johnson wouldn't go too much into details, but admits something did happen behind closed doors. 'It was a lot of media, it was a lot of locker room stuff, you know what I'm saying?' Johnson continued. 'You know, sometimes, like, stuff happens, you wish it don't happen but it do and you just gotta grow.' Despite them no longer being friends, there doesn't seem to be a beef, as Johnson still supports her against social media haters, saying she's 'killing it in the WNBA.' She continued, saying, 'I support her in everything she do. I be on social media clowning the folks that be trying to talk down on her. I'm just proud of her, but like, you know, stuff happens.' Fans sniffed out a potential issue between the two LSU stars in 2023 when their mothers engaged in a social media feud. At the time, Angel's mother, Angel Webb Reese, critiqued Johnson's grammar. Johnson's mother, Kia Brooks, fired back in the Instagram comments, writing, 'You definitely know about grammar errors when your daughter got a 2.0-or-less grade point average. Stop being petty, fake, and hateful, and take responsibility for you and your daughter's actions.' At the time, Angel Reese nixed the rumors by tweeting, 'Please don't believe everything you read,' so there's no telling if that is the reason for their falling out. See how social media is reacting to the former teammates becoming distant below. Father's Day Roundup: See How Our Fave Black Celebs Celebrated The Father Figures In Their Lives
Source: Pete Souza / Pete Souza Father's Day is a time to give love to the men who hold it down for their families, communities, and friends. And this year, some of our favorite celebs – from Michelle Obama to DC Young Fly to Teyana Taylor – hit Instagram with emotional tributes, sweet photos, and powerful words. These posts remind us why Black fatherhood deserves to be celebrated loudly – today and every day. Let's start with Oprah, who posted a beautiful snapshot with her late father, Vernon Winfrey, while reflecting on his impact. In an Oprah Daily essay she promoted on IG, she wrote: 'My father is the root of all my successes. Personal. Physical. Financial. Because he understood intrinsically that fathering is a verb. It requires action.' Michelle Obama also tapped into nostalgia, posting a throwback of Barack with a young Sasha and Malia. 'He's always been there for us,' she wrote, 'even when it felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders.' Our forever FLOTUS made it clear: strength in silence is still love. Ciara jumped on Instagram with a loving reel of her husband Russell Wilson that is making everyone swoon. While showing clips of the Wilson Clan, Ciara chose Monica's 'Why I Love You So Much' as her post audio. 'You show up for our babies the biggest way every day!' Ci Ci said about her NFL star. She added, 'You inspire us so much!' Ciara and Russ share four kids together: Ciara and Russell Wilson have four children: Future Zahir Wilburn (from a previous relationship), Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess. Teyana TayTeyana Taylor Turns Up The Heat At Art Basel For Her Sagittarius Birthday Bashlor dropped a carousel for her dad, calling him her 'ace boon' and writing, 'Know that you are appreciated…I thank God for you every day.' Her post radiated love, legacy, and gratitude and fans are loving to see clips of her dad-daughter intimate moments. DC Young Fly jumped on social media with a cute selfie of himself and his three children for Father's Day. The comedian and host remains strong, raising his kids after the loss of his partner, Ms. Jacky Oh! (Jacklyn Smith), who died after complications from cosmetic surgery in 2023. We love to see fathers celebrating fatherhood! Tia Mowry gave props to multiple father figures in her life—including her father, her brother, and her ex-husband, Cory Hardrict. Her caption stood out: 'Families take on new shapes. But one thing stays the same: the importance of being there with care and intention.' Whew. That part. And don't get us started on Corinne Foxx, who shared a gorgeous clip of Jamie Foxx walking her down the aisle. 'From walking me through life to walking me down the aisle…I love you beyond measure,' she wrote. It's rare, it's tender, and it gave us chills. From throwback flicks to new family moments, these posts show that fatherhood isn't just a title – it's a commitment. In a world where dads are often left out of the narrative, seeing these men get their shine reminds us how much love really lives here. Happy Father's Day! We see you. We thank you. Post Malone's Biggest Hit Beats His New Country Smashes As It Grows
Post Malone's current hits on the Billboard charts showcase just how diverse his musical output has been throughout his career. The superstar claims a pair of country wins in the United States, but it's one of his hip-hop-leaning tracks that continues to gain ground globally — years after it became one of the most successful tracks in American history. "Sunflower," Malone's collaboration with Swae Lee, currently appears on four Billboard rankings. Two of these tallies are based entirely on U.S. consumption, while the track also manages to live on a pair of global rosters. The cut, which was written and recorded for the film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is currently the only one of Malone's charting tunes that lifts across every list on which it appears — an incredibly impressive feat for a cut that was originally a smash in 2018. This week, "Sunflower" inches to No. 11 on the Rap Streaming Songs chart, nearing the top 10 once more. It also breaks back into the top 20 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs ranking, climbing from No. 22 to No. 20. At the same time, Malone's tune ascends a few spots on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., settling at No. 171. It appears almost 50 spaces higher on the Billboard Global 200, landing at No. 127. "Sunflower" is the highest-certified song in U.S. history, as it remains the only double diamond tune. That means that in the U.S. alone, it has shifted 20 million equivalent units, combining sales and streaming activity. Its consistent consumption has kept it on all four of the Billboard charts mentioned for at least 100 weeks, while it is approaching 250 weeks on the global tallies. Malone also scores a pair of country wins in America, as both "I Had Some Help" and "I Ain't Coming Back," which both feature Morgan Wallen, appear on at least half a dozen tallies apiece. "I Had Some Help" has been around for well over a year, and is amazingly still the stronger performer of the two in many respects. The collaboration lifts to No. 15 on the Hot 100, 56 weeks into its tenure on the tally. Meanwhile, "I Ain't Coming Back," after just seven frames, dips to No. 21.
