One of the future Spartans made a highlight reel catch for a touchdown on Friday.
Zachary Washington made an impressive touchdown catch in traffic during Friday's OT7 event. Washington was seen getting past the defender during the touchdown grab, and then holding on for the seven on seven score after taking some contact.
Check out the highlight touchdown in the clip below -- courtesy of 247Sports' Corey Robinson:
Washington, who is a three-star prospect in the 2026 class, committed to Michigan State over Wisconsin and West Virginia earlier this month. He is one of three wide receiver prospects currently committed to the Spartans in the 2026 class.
Washington's commitment to the Spartans was one of many big recruiting wins in the month of June, and plays like this one only prove that he should be an impact player during his time at Michigan State. Great play by Washington and great to see for the future of the Spartans football program.

WATCH: Recruiting video of latest Ohio State football commit, 4-star DT Damari Simeon

Things are starting to gain a little steam when it comes to Ohio State football recruiting. The Buckeyes have picked up several commitments over the last couple of weeks, and just got another with the verbal pledge of four-star defensive tackle Damari Simeon. Out of St. Augustine Prep in Richland, New Jersey, Simeon fills a big need on the defensive line for the 2026 class, choosing the Buckeyes over the likes of Penn State, Michigan, and Texas. We like to not only bring you the news of commitments when it comes to Ohio State but also provide some highlight video of the newest members of a recruiting cycle to give you an idea of what to expect. When it comes to Simeon, we found highlights from his sophomore season thanks to our friends at Hudl. In it, you can see the explosiveness and strength, even for a sophomore going against older offensive linemen at times. Take a look for yourself to see how Simeon could fit into Larry Johnson's plans once he makes his way to Columbus. We'll continue to bring you Ohio State recruiting news as the Buckeyes look to finish out their 2026 class, so come back often and stay in the know. In ten games in the G-League, he averaged 14.8 points and 5.4 assists per game. Injury trouble kept him from playing more last season. After his season in the NBA G-League, Walker will be going global for his next year of professional basketball. The former Spartan guard will be heading to the Australian National Basketball League, signing a deal with Melbourne United. Details of the deal have not been fully released, but it was reported that it was a one year deal for Walker to go to Australia. Caps trade for a defenseman and add four players as the draft wraps up

On the second and final day of the NHL draft, the Washington Capitals selected four prospects and made a trade for an established player, bringing in defenseman Declan Chisholm from the Minnesota Wild. Saturday's trade doesn't rise to the level of the move they made on the second day of the draft last year, when they acquired goaltender Logan Thompson from Vegas, but Capitals General Manager Chris Patrick viewed it as an important depth move to position the Capitals for the start of free agency Tuesday. Chisholm, 25, is a restricted free agent who will need a new contract to remain with Washington.
