Charlie Woods and Kai Trump are in the field this week for one of South Florida's premier junior golf tournaments.
Woods, the son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, and Trump, the eldest grandchild of President Donald J. Trump, played the first round of the 41st Nicklaus Junior Championship on June 23 at the Bear's Club in Jupiter.

Woods shot 74 (2-over) and is tied for 12th in a field of 122 golfers entering Tuesday's second round at Tequesta Country Club.
He is four shots back of a trio of leaders — Weston's Ignacio Hurtado, Port St. Lucie's Jeremy Hsu and Orlando's Xingrun Piao — at 2-under.
Trump shot 86 (14-over) and is tied for 28th in a field of 30 golfers. She'll also play Tuesday's second round at Tequesta Country Club.
Bella Simões, an 11-year-old phenom from Lake Worth, leads the girls field by three strokes after shooting 70 (2-under) at the Bear's Club.
Trump will start her second round with a 9:12 a.m. tee time while Woods will start at 10:24 a.m.

Named after golf's most decorated major champion, the Nicklaus Junior is an annual tournament organized by the South Florida PGA and the Palm Beach County Golf Association.
The two-day competition is split between the Bear's Club in Jupiter and the Tequesta Country Club. Previous winners include Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger.

He defeated Boca Raton's Oscar Crowe and Palm Beach Gardens' Matthew Marigliano in a playoff to secure the fifth and final qualifying spot.

The 2025 U.S. Junior Amateur will be played July 21-26 at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.
Woods played in his first U.S. Junior Amateur Championship in 2024. He missed the cut after shooting 22-over in the first two rounds.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced contract extensions Thursday morning for both general manager Jason Licht and head coach Todd Bowles. This comes on the heels of another successful year for the franchise. Advertisement Over the course of the last year, the Bucs have navigated multiple major coaching staff changes, maintained key veterans through free agency, drafted immediate contributors across the roster, and won the NFC South for a fourth straight season. Much of that credit belongs to both Bowles and Licht. Licht has been with the team since 201,4 and his track record made this an obvious move for the franchise. Alternatively, Bowles' future was not as secure with some questions about what any potential setbacks could mean for his future. Instead, the Bucs have taken a firm stance on how they view their head coach and his value for the coming years. The records have not been gaudy, but Bowles has kept the Bucs atop their division since taking over in 2022 and increased the team's win total by one each season. Last year, that success came despite having his roster ravaged with injury before spiriting wins in six of Tampa Bay's final seven games. Bowles' ability to navigate this adversity and keep the Bucs in the mix has been admirable. The Bucs have invested heavily in their offense, signing Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to contract extensions each of the last two offseasons and re-signing Baker Mayfield a year ago. Tampa Bay knows they have a window to capitalize on with this core. They have been a playoff participant thus far under Bowles; now, the goal is to transcend that status to become a firm contender within the conference. Especially last season, the Bucs showed flashes, notching wins against the best teams in the NFC. Moving forward, Bowles is tasked with putting it all together, allowing the Bucs to take that next step.
