's was a statement performance at Wimbledon on Thursday. Church Road's seven-time champion, going for a historic 25th major title, started by silencing the Centre Court crowd, who were firmly behind the home hope, wildcard entrant Daniel Evans, to claim an emphatic 6-3, 6-2, 6-0 win, his 99th Wimbledon match victory.
After wrapping up the win in one hour and 47-minutes, Djokovic did a few 'pump-it-up' moves just like after his first-round match. Was it the Serbian's newest post-match celebration, or was it sociopolitical messaging?

Djokovic was nonchalant in his response when he came into press later in the evening, even singing a couple of lines of the song.

'Don't you know, pump it up, you got to pump it up',' he sang along, saying that it was a ritual with his children Stefan and Tara, who were in his box on Thursday.
Incidentally, Pump It Up (or Pumpaj) is the official slogan of the student-led protests in Serbia that started in November when a concrete canopy collapsed killing fifteen people at a railway station in Novi Sad.
The Serbian superstar has backed the students in the past, notably at Melbourne Park in January.
'It's something between me and my children,' he said of his post-match celebration, wearing a broad smile. 'We have a song, it's called 'Pump It Up'.

I don't know how many of you guys know that. It's quite an old song. Good rhythm. We're pumping. We love pumping. We pump after every win.' The sixth-seed's near two-hours on the court was a celebration of his tennis.
Djokovic, who had 14 unforced errors and 46 winners in the match, didn't put a foot wrong, saving the two break points he faced in the match, both in the 30-minute third set. The 38-year-old is through to the Wimbledon third round for the 19th time, more than any player in the Open Era.
'If I play like today, I have a very good chance against anybody on the Centre Court of Wimbledon,' he said. 'Game-wise, I'm playing as well as I can, hopefully I can keep it up.'
After the win Djokovic ran into Gael Monfils, who at 38 years and 315 days is the oldest player in the draw, the Serbian is the second oldest. 'Gael smiled at me and said, good day in the office,' Djokovic said.
'At this age, we need those types of days,' Djokovic said. Djokovic, looking for a first major title since the 2023 US Open, struggled with a stomach bug in his first round match and needed medical attention on the court. Next up for the sixth seed, playing for a 100th Wimbledon main draw win, is compatriot the world no. 49 Miomir Kecmanovic.
In another second-round match, eighth seed Iga Swiatek rallied to score a 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 win over American Caty McNally.

NFL rookie Xavier Worthy's Super Bowl heartbreak feels like a love story gone wrong

Worthy's rookie dream ends in Super Bowl heartbreak (Image via AP) Xavier Worthy came into the NFL with unmatched speed and sky-high expectations. After making headlines with a record-breaking 4.21-second 40-yard dash at the 2023 NFL Combine, the rookie wide receiver joined the Kansas City Chiefs as a beacon of promise. But as the confetti fell in Las Vegas after Super Bowl 59, it wasn't Worthy's speed that stole attention—it was the pain behind his silence. A rookie season that started in flash, ended in frustration The Chiefs, defending champions and led by Patrick Mahomes , were stunned in a 40-22 Super Bowl defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City's offense was overrun—six sacks, three turnovers, and very little rhythm. For Worthy, it was an uphill battle all night. He managed three catches for 39 yards and drew a key penalty, but the breakthrough moment never arrived. After the loss, Worthy didn't issue a press statement or fiery promise. Instead, he posted a sunset photo on Instagram with a quiet but telling caption: 'I told her I'm still not over my first heartbreak.' A second image showed him staring at the Super Bowl field, eyes filled with weight. The message wasn't about love—it was about football. And that pain ran deeper than many expected from a first-year player. While other rookies fade into the offseason, Worthy's emotional honesty made waves. It was a rare glimpse into the mental toll of a high-stakes failure. He had spent months preparing for moments like this—only to watch it slip away. Coaches praised his professionalism during the week, but the disappointment was impossible to mask once the lights dimmed. Turning heartbreak into fuel for a stronger comeback Sources say Worthy has already resumed individual work in the offseason, staying close to the Chiefs' facility and focusing on route precision, timing, and film study. What hurt the most, insiders believe, wasn't the loss—but the feeling of not delivering when it mattered most. His teammates have reportedly rallied around him, impressed by his self-awareness and hunger to grow. His speed got him into the league, but it's his mindset that may carry him further. In a league built on second chances and hard-earned comebacks, Worthy's heartbreak may yet become his fuel. He's not over it—and maybe that's exactly what will make him great. For real-time updates, scores, and highlights, follow our live coverage of the India vs England Test match here. Why Vivek Oberoi decided to move away from Bollywood as his main source of income

Once known for his breakout roles in films like Company and Saathiya, Vivek Oberoi is now more focused on financial spreadsheets than film scripts. After two decades in Bollywood , the actor has found himself more invested—literally and emotionally—in entrepreneurship . In a recent interview with CNBC-TV18, he opened up about his pivot from stardom to startups, revealing that he has raised a staggering $1 billion (approximately ₹8,500 crore) across 12 companies, two of which are already eyeing IPOs. In his conversation with CNBC-TV18, Vivek Oberoi shared that he eventually became disillusioned with the film industry. He felt that the system often prioritised familiarity over genuine talent, leaving him feeling stuck in a repetitive cycle that lacked creative empowerment. According to him, the collaborative spirit he sought was absent in the ecosystem. Rather than spiral into pessimism, he chose to redirect his energy and opened a new chapter in his life through entrepreneurship. From teenage side hustles to full-blown enterprises Vivek's entrepreneurial instincts took shape long before his cinematic debut. In his teenage years, he dabbled in voiceovers, emceeing, and even the stock market. By 19, he had launched a tech startup, which he successfully sold to a multinational firm by age 22. That early win, he said, gave him the confidence to balance both creative and commercial pursuits—eventually setting the foundation for his diversified business empire. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Scientists: Tinnitus? He openly acknowledged the substantial funding his ventures have attracted, stressing that raising capital isn't the challenge. What matters more to him is how that capital is deployed and how sustainable growth is ensured. For Vivek, the key lies in striking a balance — blending Silicon Valley's innovation with the financial prudence of a Marwari mindset. This philosophy appears to be paying off. Vivek currently oversees 12 businesses spanning tech, real estate, and retail, with an estimated personal net worth of ₹1,200 crore. Vivek Oberoi's ventures One of Vivek's standout ventures is Solitario, a diamond brand with 18 stores across India. His approach combines business acumen with storytelling—possibly a carryover from his cinematic days. Vivek credits much of his financial sensibility to his father, veteran actor Suresh Oberoi , who taught him the value of financial independence.
