NEET PG 2025: NBEMS issues revised schedule for exam; results by Sept 3

NEET PG 2025 Revised Schedule: The National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the revised schedule for NEET PG 2025, which will be conducted in a single shift (9 am to 12:30 pm) on August 3. According to the revised schedule, candidates will have the option to resubmit their preferred exam city choice through the official website, from June 13 (3 pm) to June 17. Additionally, a first-come, first-served basis will be used for exam city selection, with available cities listed in the application form. To accommodate the single-shift exam logistics, NBEMS has increased the number of NEET PG exam centres and cities, following the Supreme Court's directive. The official notification mentioned that in case a testing seat is not available in the state or UT in which the candidate prefers to appear in NEET PG, he/she can choose the option from the list at the time of selection during online submission of the NEET PG application form. NBEMS stated that they will make all efforts to allot a testing centre in the state of the correspondence address of the candidate; however, in case of unavailability of the testing seat in the concerned State due to logistical, administrative or other reasons, a testing centre anywhere in India may be allocated. Moreover, NBEMS reserves its right to add or remove exam cities from the list due to logistical, administrative or other reasons, as mentioned in the NEET PG notice. Last year, for the first time, NEET-PG was held in two shifts instead of one. The examination took place on August 11, with sessions from 9 am to 12.30 pm and 3.30 pm to 7 pm.

NEET PG 2025: Supreme Court approves August 3 exam date, one-shift format confirmed

The Supreme Court allows the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to hold the NEET-PG 2025 examination on August 3, 2025, in one shift. SC says no further time will be granted to NBE for holding NEET PG 2025. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had postponed NEET PG 2025 following a recent Supreme Court order that the exam shall be held in one shift. In the order, the court had ordered complete transparency and that secure test centres shall be identified and commissioned. The NBEMS had said in a statement that the NEET PG exam scheduled for May 15 has been postponed to arrange for additional test centres and required infrastructure.
