Netweb Technologies India Ltd, KIOCL Ltd, Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd and Indegene Ltd are among the other gainers in the BSE's 'A' group today, 01 August 2025.
Skipper Ltd soared 12.53% to Rs 546 at 11:46 IST. The stock was the biggest gainer in the BSE's 'A' group. On the BSE, 4.05 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 21626 shares in the past one month.
Netweb Technologies India Ltd spiked 10.82% to Rs 2253. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 4.56 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 38527 shares in the past one month.
KIOCL Ltd surged 10.45% to Rs 351.3. The stock was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 3.53 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 77237 shares in the past one month.
Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd exploded 8.46% to Rs 60.16. The stock was the fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 13.36 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 19.81 lakh shares in the past one month.
Indegene Ltd added 6.35% to Rs 578.35. The stock was the fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 1.4 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 17595 shares in the past one month.

Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is set to transfer 76 supervisors following persistent complaints of collusion with contractors in facilitating illegal construction. Residents also allege that supervisors, working in tandem with private builders, demand hefty sums to overlook unauthorised floors. GDA has around 200 supervisors in the seven zones under it, but its manual does not specify a maximum tenure for postings before an employee can be shifted. Many of the supervisors on the list have been posted in the same zone for more than five years. Officials admitted that supervisors posted in the same zones for years had formed "unholy alliances" with local realtors, and said the reshuffle aimed to curb the spread of illegal colonies, which have risen from 321 in 2021 to 351, occupying around 3,000 acres. "We hired a private contractor, prepared a cost estimate, and even had construction material delivered," he said. But that evening, a GDA supervisor reached their house and warned the family that the work violated regulations. Unsure how to proceed, the family considered abandoning the plan. "But the contractor assured me it could be 'managed' for Rs 40,000. Construction went ahead without further interference. Only later did I realise the nexus between contractors and supervisors," he added. According to a GDA official, despite checks and balances, illegal construction has been unabated in the city. "We deduced that many of the supervisors are working in the same zone for years and have developed a nexus with contractors, allowing illegal construction. This nexus needs to be broken, for which GDA has prepared a list of 76 supervisors who will be transferred to other zones." DDA allocates land at Nehru Place for 5-star hotel for 55-yr period
New Delhi: Delhi Development Authority's first attempt to offer land for a five-star hotel on an annually incremental licence fee fetched Rs 27.2 crore per annum against the reserve fee of Rs 18 crore. The bid, won by one of the biggest hotel chains in the country, will generate revenues of Rs 10,000 crore for DDA over the licence period of 55 years. The initiative will provide a much-needed boost to the hospitality sector while contributing to DDA's coffers. "It was on the directions of lieutenant governor VK Saxena that DDA decided to move away from the existing freehold and perpetual lease models and chose a 'special licence property' mode to offer lands for prominent projects on annual incremental licence fee," an official said. The official explained that the experience of the last two decades showed that the freehold and perpetual lease models were not achieving desired results due to the high cost of land. The auction was conducted on Aug 13, in which Fleur Hotels Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, emerged as the winning bidder. SBI Capital Markets Ltd assisted DDA as the transaction advisor for the auction process. "The company secured this project for an annual licence fee of Rs 27.19 crore. The yearly licence fee will escalate annually and is expected to generate around Rs 10,000 crore as revenues for DDA over the 55-year licence period," said a DDA official. The hotel to be named Aurika Nehru Place is set to become one of the city's biggest with over 500 rooms. Panaji: Prices of vegetables in Goa have been witnessing a gradual rise over the last couple of weeks amid an increase in demand due to the Hindu holy month of Shravan and the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi. Tomatoes have seen a rise from Rs 40 to Rs 50 per kg, while onion prices have also spiked from Rs 30 to Rs 40 per kg. Potato rates have also increased from Rs 30 to Rs 40 per kg. As the festival approaches, the prices are expected to increase further. Burhanuddin Mulia, a vegetable vendor at the Panaji municipal market, said prices fluctuate frequently due to the rainy season and the demand for the vegetables. 'The price of tomatoes was Rs 80 last month. It was Rs 40 two weeks ago, and now, it has risen to Rs 50. It really depends on the quality we get and the demand,' said Mulia. A major part of Goa's vegetable demand is met by supply coming in from Belagavi. But due to various reasons such as the cost of cultivation, the prices of locally grown vegetables have also risen. Three small locally grown ridged gourds, or a similar quantity of bitter gourds, are now sold for Rs 100. Mohammad Haris, a vegetable vendor at Panaji, said customers are not happy with the quality of vegetables. 'And with the price hike, it doesn't justify the amount they are paying,' he said. Consumers said that for leafy vegetables like methi, raddish, coriander, etc, the prices may not seem to have been hiked, but the size of the bunches has significantly reduced. The state horticulture corporation, on its part, has said that it is supplying vegetables at subsidised rates, but the number of its stalls may fall short of the demand.
